A Stock GTR?

Because I tuned the Nissan GTR Spec V 2009 to 870hp.

The problem isnt the HP, its the handling, for me anyway, I cant get it to handle brilliantly with that much power.

no my GTR was the '07 variant. i didnt see the point in the massive price gap between standard and Spec V. so mine seems to develop around the 800 bhp mark. but it handles like a dream, braking late, taking corners faster than i have in other cars i own. and that is with minimal tuning to the suspenion etc, so i imagine that once this is done i should hopefully have a good all round 'road car-type' car to use in this game.

i bought the standard GTR '07 and tuned to max it gives out around the 800 bhp mark. i didnt really see the massive reason for the price difference between the standard and the spec v versions. my version handles perfectly, and that has been with minimal suspension tuning.

as for a racing car im unsure as to the GTR's availiblilty, sorry i misunderstood the OP. as for racing cars, there is a super GT impreza for around thr 500,000 CR mark, and the JGTC series of cars are arounf the 950,000 CR mark, with around 470-490 bhp. so with some tuning they should walk over the opposition but this would depend on driver level, CR, and skill. but i do know that there are DTM cars availible as well.

I have the standard GT-R also and have it tuned to 835bhp, needed the spoiler from gt auto to keep it in check otherwise it was a hand full. Im pretty sure it should hold up in the expert series.

What I did was that I got Bob a bit better, then went and did the NR-A Roadster Cup or whatever it's called. See the spoiler for the prize car.

Here you win a Mazda Furai Concept '08, it has less than 500 BHP, but weighs less than 700 kg. With this car on soft racing tires I've gotten all podiums in the races now, if I would stop hitting everything with the car/stop sucking so much, I don't see why we shouldn't be able to win with this car, though it might need a bit more HP or gearing to get a higher top speed, because the opponents can go quite a bit faster on the straights.

So, a stealth mclaren can't hold itself against race cars? Really? I took it for a spin and it seemed ridiculously fast.

I used mine in the gran turismo world cup (against lot of race cars) I'm only level 15 though, so I dont know if the competition is tougher at higher levels... But i won easily 10 seconds in front of #2, with the Stealth Black Mclaren F1...
And I'm not even a very good driver :)

bob is killin that race right now jacobN. gonna give that method a shot. thanks
When you get it, definitely up the downforce to the maximum settings, and upgrade it a little bit(I think there are only 2-3 available upgrades). So far, on my second run, I've got Gold, Gold, Silver, Gold and I'm at the last race now. Only car that's giving me a little bit of trouble is the R8 Race Car, it's seriously fast. Also, finding that setting the gearing to 350-360 works well in case you get behind and need to use the draft.

I have been trying the GT All Stars with a fully tuned Corvette C6 ZR1. From a stand still it is much quicker than all of the other race cars. If you can get in first place at the beginning of the race and keep it then normally the other cars will not pass you as long as you stick to the racing line. However, if you wipe out there is no chance of recovering the lead. Once the Sauber is ahead of you in first there is no catching it. So as long as you stay in the front you should be good to go.

I used the slightly cheaper mclaren in the gt world cup. With mods you can keep up w/ everyone... you have to get in front as quick as possible (brake late on corners) and basically avoid making any errors. I didn't do all the mods (I'm cheap) just the weight reduction soft racing tires and a few of the cheaper options. I tried it w/o upgrading the tires and I was not able to keep up.

GT cup was probably the most entertaining for me. Up until those races, I had a decent lead by the last lap. I'm definitely one of the "average drivers" - Although I've got gold on every race, I'm satisfied with bronze or silver on the license tests.

my gtr is tuned to 800 smth bhp. i won against le mans cars with my fully tuned race modified zr1 but it was a really hard fight, as they have way more downforce in high speed corners

Iv'e gotta say I'm so happy I got the signature edition, stealth R10 TDI & 787B. I was trying not to use any of the stealths/chromes but had some big problems with All Stars. I was wondering though about trying the race modification cars, maybe the tuscan speed 6 or the vette z06 or zr1, or maybe a heavily tuned supercar. My chrome Lambo LP 640 goes to about 700-800BHP, i'm yet to try the LP 670-SV though

this turned into quite a useful topic, thanks for the tips guys! been doing b-spec since i posted the thread, will try some of the mentioned options.

I'm here now, trying with veyron. NO LUCK!! My 1 million dollar nsx race car cannot keep up!!! Someone HELP!!

Mazda furai concept did it for me, the AI are so terrible slow through the corners so you can easliy win with a 150-200 hp deficit. Get it from one B-Spec race, not sure which.

Do you or anyone know if race modifying your car makes it any slower if it is already fully tuned? I am asking this because when you go to purchase the race modification it says it may replace any parts or upgrades you have already made. I really don't want to race modify my ZR1 only to find out it is a slower car with a cool paintjob.

I did the same thing as you are in. I fully tuned it 1st... it is worth it as the rm adds a lot of downforce... its a totally different car... beautiful drive.

A fully tuned, racing modified ZR1/Z06, can hold its own in the all stars race. However, you have to drive the wheels off it. It can be a handful if you drive without stability management etc. I kept cooking the rear tires.

The key is the start, because if you get stuck behind in 7-8th place, you're not going to catch the prototypes in most cases.

My Lamborghini Mucielago SV could BARELY do it. Problem is, there is no room for error. You needed to get out in front at the start and drive like crazy and block when necessary. I gave up.

I used my Audio R10 Stealth, piece of cake :( I feel so dirty.

Quick note here, if you are level 21, the MINOLTA toyota 88C is winnable in A Spec from the 'Like the Wind' Race. This is however against some le mans cars, although others such as the suzuki escudo are in there. There are only 2 races though, 5 laps of the indy super speedway and 5 of the daytona road course

EDIT: Its also a nice 70K/ win so if you can get something to do well enough on the oval, it shouldn't be too long before you can afford something good :) not many points/win though, about 3k :(

bought a sauber c9 with around 1200 had to grind hard for it though but ill let you know how i go this seems to be my only answer on how to win them but i think b spec plays a huge key in this game buy winning the race cars as prizes gonna have to work on that this week i think im lvl13 b spec and prize cars so far are very differnt!

Can someone let me borrow the 787 or the other stealth car??? I'm good for it and will return in one piece :). My online Id is MoneySL777. I'm on now!!

So no clue how to get an old scool race car for the classic race car thingy in expert??

Fully tuned Lambo Countach did it for me. Put all the possible upgrades, soft race tires, rear wing and it is possible to win this race. Not easy... but doable.
Do not forget to adjust the aero to max and lower the suspension a bit. Good Luck.

Yeah. I did it with a ZR1, RM + Fully Tuned. Expensive, but better than saving up for a race car. Daytona was really easy with this car, but I had to do a lot of blocking on Indy.
