How to get Chrome Paint? I got the exact answer.
All you need to acquire the "Chrome Paint" is that you need 90 cars in your garage standards or premiums combined you need 90 to obtain "Chrome Paint"

A lot of people were wondering about this and hasn't gotten the correct answer.

You can also win it by winning car prizes but the color paints are random.

Got to be real careful with the word exact in here....I got almost 300 cars without any duping...levels A35/B40 and not a sniff of a chrome chip
 
I got 750 cars i my garage and the only chrome i got is the one i recieved from a friend!
 
Got almost 600 cars now... No chrome yet =/
 
Just got the Gold Chrome. Took some doing, though. I hit 330 cars (I saved to a USB stick at 329 cars, just in case), got the notification, and had to quit the game and restart. A lot.

I kept a count, just to see what all I got BEFORE I hit the Gold Chrome:

Matte Dark Green (twice)
Matte Yellow (four times)
Matte Light Blue (thrice)
Matte Red
Matte Purple (twice)
Matte Silver
Matte Gray
Matte Dark Red (twice)​

And finally, Gold Chrome.

If you don't get it, DON'T hit "Okay" - quit the game from the PS button, start again, and see what you get. Once you get what you want, THEN hit "Okay", save, and quit. Save you Game Save data to a USB stick.

I saved, sent to a sub account, logged in on that account, accepted, quit, saved to another USB stick, started again, sent it BACK to my main, loaded from my "main" USB, opened, accepted the gift, so now have two Gold Chromes.

Or one, actually - I used one of them on my Ferrari Italia. It looks awesome in its awfulness. A car not even a Saudi oil sheik could love! Simply hideous - I dig it!
 
chrome is random you can get it when you get to 30 60 or 90 cars. i wanted it so i was looking the way to get it so when i got to 30 cars i look at the paint i got for geting to 30 cars it wasent chrome so i pressed the ps botten on control pad quit the game and restart it had to do a few times but got it after a few times as i said its random u can spend a bit of time trying it or you can be lucky and get it in a few trys... good luck
 
im at 250+ and the only chrome i have is from trading. I only ever get matte colors.
 
Can someone gift me a chrome paint chip please? :)

I was about 600 cars before I got my first official Chrome it was Gold..

It's just the luck of the draw....

I just checked and it appears I have 46 Rosso Red's !!! WTH..
 
200 cars now, 2 silver chrome and 2 matte red...
that's it so far....
 
370+, no chrome lol
 
ive got now 1 matte black 1 matte blue and matte white and 2 pink
and 175+ cars :)
 
Was slightly above 1k cars when the chromes have been implemented in the game via an update. Since then I´m on approx. 1150, no chromes here while filling up my garage. Only got some from a friend.

This could have been an EPIC thread, but instead, *fail, *facepalm, *no, *wrong, *to bad.
 
I have 2 accounts, one with 280 cars, never seen a chrome paint.
 
I have close to 300 cars without a single chrome paintchip. I'm happy about it though, matte finish is win.
 
1000 + and still no Chrome. Good news is that my buddy has extra and is gifting me.:))

Nope.

It took me several hundreds cars before I got one.

:banghead: The worst part is someone probably took his advice.
 
This thread is great. No sign of OP either. Like everyone else, I have well over 90 cars and never got a chrome that way.
 
When you get the special paint chip, if you don't like it don't click on ok, just quit the game and restart it and you will get another choice, just keep doing this until you get what you want.
 
After 90 cars, I got Echochrome... Ah no, it's my bro' who bought the game from psn store... :lol:

Did you check the date on the original post? :dunce:

Every 30 cars you receive a random paint chip. It could be chrome, it could be something else. If there is a certain paint you want (chrome, matte, etc.) keep resetting your game until that one comes up. 💡
