How to get enough credits for 20 million $ cars ?

I was going to post a video just like ToLegitToQuit's to show people the corners to cut, but no reason to be redundant! Yep the Red Bull Standard Silverstone race is the best single race to grind. 260k every 4 minutes, or roughly 1 million every 20 min/3 million credits every hour. There are 3 major turns/sections you can cut.

It's also nice that you're not using your car for the Red Bull races, so you're not putting wear and tear, having to do oil changes, etc. on your own car.

My favourite Red Bull race is Trial Mountain - from memory it earns a fraction less than Silverstone, but the lap is shorter so if you are only doing one race, personally I would grind that one. I normally do the whole championship though to get the 1m credit bonus.

I turn down steering sensitivity to 0 for Red Bull - I usually use a setting of 2 for normal cars - (I'm a wheel user and don't know what settings you would use on a DS3).

Oh, you have to sign in for the 5th race, then quit. I made that mistake once, too!

Speaking of miskakes, I've lost millions by keeping my balance too near the 50,000,000 limit, and then entering seasonals or GTA events and watching the prize money vanish over the top. I need to buy a few cars before I play each time!

Those few 20 mil cars are more of an exclusivity and not some unbeatable machines you need to have "pronto"> a 2D or 2C that cost a "budget" 2-4 mil will beat any of those 20 mil cars.

Nobody said anything about them being good or bad. The point I was trying to make is that he said they weren't useful after saying he'd never bought them. Similar to saying that you don't like Mexican food but have never eaten it.

A couple of the tracks gave me fits with the RB Standard, I'll have to go back and master each course with that car. I was able to bronze or silver the championship, but since then just grinding on Silverstone. The Vettel challenge wasn't too hard though.

Regarding the 20 million cars, no they're not necessary to buy and they're usually not the best car for any particular race. I look at them like rare, collector cars. I probably would not have bought any of them had I not started doing photomode and taking pictures of the cars in game. If you take pictures though you might want a few of the expensive cars! :-)

I prefer challenging myself and running stockers (F430 Scuderia was particularly fun) in the Ascari 10-lapper. Less money for more time but it's more enjoyable and the skills developed transfer to other racing more smoothly than those pretend cars.

This is what i do. But i complete the last race as i am a bit iffy with apricot hill. To be honest this is not far off the highest paying seasonals in gt5. Bearing in mind that gt5 had no micro transcations, this is pretty awesome. I have made over 60 million grinding away and not one bit of that was boring for me.

So you did buy them. You made it sound like you were commenting on something you knew nothing about and I hate that. Don't give up on online racing though man. Use the threads here and search for sports tires only lobbies and you can find some good groups of people. Finding a competitive group really makes this game shine

ok so heres the 3 lap silverstone race that your grind for 260k in under 4 minutes. you'll see I finish in 3:50 with loads of mistakes.

A few tips:

1. keep TCS at 5 to help you when coming out of the grass
2. switch to RS tires
3. you can take it easy on the "on track" parts if you aren't good with this car.
4. the last shortcut can be done at full throttle but do it a few times before you try it cause you have to nail it to not let up.
