I've have not seen a thread that shows you how to tune a car, so that it will grip and not slip. But still have the ability to turn. Anything is appreciated.
Cheers!

Ehh, I'm looking for a general rule of thumb to get a car to grip the tarmac.
Troll image?
Still trolling.....
AdrenalineThe topic was over in post 2. Any further questions were destined to be trololololol.
think of the car as a teeter totter and dampers on each end

from that awesome diagram we can see which damper settings have a relationship to each other as the vehicle experiences accelerating/braking forces against it.
ie. front extension & rear compression are 'related' when accelerating
so, if your car is not rotating enough (understeer) while you exit a corner under throttle you can:
i) increase front extension
and/or
ii) increase rear compression
if your car is not rotating enough (understeer) while you enter a corner you can:
i) decrease front compression
and/or
ii) decrease rear extension
Well unlike some people im not a dick so ill answer without trlling. But i usually tune my cars to not slip that much and i found some of the things that influence if the car spins or not are the following.
LSD - Makes a huge difference for me. This can easily make it so if you hit the gas your car will go sideways or go were u want with no problem. The lower the setting's on this usually the less your car will slip and slide. 5 being the lowest. Try putting down the Acceleration down first, if you can handle than then raise.
Toe - The higher the toe the more grip. But this will make your car understeer the higher you put it up so try not to go too crazy on this.
Aerodynamics - Higher he value the more your car will be forced down onto the track at higher speeds, although not so much on low speed turns
Camper - Most people prefer to put this low because with higher camper the worse your brakes get. So i would try to find a point were your happy with your breaks and try to establish how much camber you need. This can change your car from sounding like it has no grip in turns to like your driving a prius and theres no sound.XD
Dampers - These can influence your deceleration and acceleration in and out of turn. If you feel like your car oversteers when you get on the gas or brakes than these can change a lot. **Diagram bellow is not mine but it helped me and i thank the maker of it.**
Longer post than i wanted but Ive made some of my cars so that if i slam on the gas it just goes were i want with no spinning problems or slidding. Just hit the gas, goes were you want, no more problems. My descriptions of the tuning above is just put really simple. You could go into more detail on what does what but i just simplified it.
hope that helps.![]()
OMG thank you soooo much! Your the only one who cares! Thank you!
