Add: Grand Valley, Deep Forest, Rome, High Speed Ring, Tokyo, Le Mans, Monza, Spa.

These for me are must have tracks.

Pretty please PD.

*I missed Trial Mountain, crdcz03's post below reminded me.

Besides these specific tracks, at least for the cities, it would be nice to have some "free roam" areas that include not only the area where the track(s) are located, but at least a little surrounding area, hopefully extending a bit into suburbs and surrounding countryside. And would include both race fans and regular pedestrian traffic - would make for some great photos.

Course maker DLC:
A new course maker for GTS. Would include all types of environments including canyon & desert, mountain, rainforest, snow & ice, tropical coast, etc. as well as a variety of urban types: small town/village, classic European, modern high-density, etc. And all types of tracks/races: on-road, off-road, circuit, point-to-point, dedicated race track, informal street race, etc. And customizable elements: houses and other buildings, water features, level of vegetation, fan/pedestrian density, billboards with our own custom graphics, etc.

Miscellaneous DLC/fixes:
Make the driving line dynamic again.
Make the music playlist editable and allow for uploads of our own MP3s.
Let us choose what graphics are used for the home screen background and screen saver. We should be able to use our own in-game photos and videos, and it would be nice to have the option to turn off various items like the historical screens or the 3-D models of cars (also in race loading screens) that make the console heat up unnecessarily.

Your entire post is null and void based on the lack of Trial Mountain in your DLC list.

edit: and Grand Valley, what the hell man

Those tracks are fine too, I was just concentrating on those that I either miss the most or have never had the opportunity to try.

Just get more into the campaign mode. With the timings of the daily races etc it's not like you can just pick the game up for half hour and get anything from it. A solid single player career mode would be a huge improvement, even if it wasn't actually that good!

I agree with this so much! I wish they hadn’t forgone the whole “start from the bottom” idea of offline campaign...

Mazda Laguna Seca, Road America, Sebring, Road Atlanta, Spa and Hockenheimring

Global hotlapping leaderboards for each class and track (times with drafting and off track excursions should all be below totally clean times).

smarter penalty system that penalizes the aggressor, not the victim.

More daily races. There should never be a time where I have to wait 20+ minutes to enter a race.

I like serious racing, but it might be nice to have something fun in the game too, like cat & mouse or tag lobbies. Would need to ensure these lobbies do not affect SR or DR at all though, if implemented.

One thing I really want right now, is the chance to know when other drivers get penalties during the sport mode races. Just another day I had a close race for the 1st place and I ended the race in P2. When the results came out, I got P1 because the other guy had a penalty and he didn’t attend to it. Had I knew it, I wouldnt’ve pressure him in the last lap and wouldnt’ve taken any risk.

Your pressure on him may have prevented him from being able to slow down enough to scrub off the penalty.

To the mod who edited my two comments together with a snarky "This is what the edit button is for" . One was my comment on the topic, the other was a response to one specific other comment. It wasn't a "double post". You've just made me now dislike this forum. Well done. Your merger and reason were completely unnecessary wielding of power. If this is what the forum is like, I won't be here much. bye

Hmmm first off I'd sack Dr. Kaz and replace him with any number of people, Probably try to poach someone from Codemasters or SMS since they both know how to do a career mode, Yes past GT's have had a career of sorts which while very good was nothing compared to the career mode in PCars1 and Toca Race Driver 3.

I'd also put better focus on things like who the game is actually aimed towards, Is it for everybody? Is it for hardcore sim fans? Nobody truly knows what PD wanted at this point.

And lastly I'd bring back cars from the HD era of games, Sure they might not be 4k but not everybody wants to shell out for a 4k tv, Just like when PD went down the route and wasted time and resources with 3D in GT it was pointless 3D tv's were a fad nothing more

More real circuit definitely! but I'm alright at the moment cause I only play an hour of so a day I still have a lot to do before they release more tracks later or if ever.

Secondly, I highly recommend polyphony to create 'race result database or history page' so that people track down what they accomplished in sport mode on a daily basis.
When I played LOL before, I really loved looking into past match history.

- list of leagues that I can sign up
- Point Race for each league
- a league will run 6 weeks with track rotate once a week
- Only highest point taken for each week points

Adding all the cars in the game as rental cars in arcade mode as opposed to only eight cars. Even future cars through DLC should make it as rental cars too.

I feel confident in this as well. Especially since they are going to be selling a bunch of bundles over the holidays and that would help.

Agreed, but it has been out 29 days. I expect to see many of those soon.

I see a few people very confident that new tracks and dlc will be available soon, I haven't played a Gran Turismo in years so was it the case with past GT's that dlc came early and a lot of content was released?

  • More tracks
  • Fix or rework the FFB (It's almost inexistent)
  • Fix the penalty system
  • Make it hard to get SR S
  • Weekly Sport Mode races with open setups
Spot on, plus....

I'd be very satisfied with only one thing:

Oh, and 24 slots for lobbies.
Plus 24 players brought back to sport mode.
Then one last thing...

More selection in Sport mode, meaning more races to choose from at any time with a variety of tracks, car classes in the upper Gr range (1,2, 3 and X) and 2 or 3 days for these races to be available, I'd like to see Nordschliefe featured more often at least. For an online only game the content and ability to use the content is quite limited. If this was a normal GT with the multiplayer added on then I could understand but for a game that is 90% online there shouldn't be an excuse for only 3 races to choose from and having to wait an hour between some races. The longer 10 lap races are all I look forward to, one make races are boring and the Gr4 races in the middle are good but need more laps. 12 races at a time, 3 slow and short, 3 medium and faster, 3 long and fastest and I think you could throw in enough variety to keep everyone happy. Rotate them every 3 days and you have the same amount of content as you have now, just more variety at any given time which I think would keep people more happy and entertained and leave PD to only changing things up every 3 days.

How would I make GTP better?

This I think is a no brainer:
After accumulating all the cars, prizes, and awards, please don't penalize your best players with error messages such as (and I'm paraphrasing here) "error: your garage is full," or "You can't increase your credits," etc. Also, allow a choice to deny a prize, because sometimes I've accumulated dozens of the same cars and I have to spend time eliminating them.

Note, this is what occurred in GT5 and GT6. I don't know if this actually occurs in GTS.

I would add tools to help us learn to be better faster drivers... top of the list would be automatic loading of fast-lap ghosts just like in F1 2017 where whenever you set a faster lap at a given circuit, a new faster "rival" is automatically chosen for you.
Also, change the saved replays so they are useful learning tools rather than just replays.

To be honest, right now I'll probably have to sound like a stuck record and say maybe a few more tracks won't hurt. Not really too fussed as to whether they're classic PD tracks of old e.g. SS11, or more official tracks (though the latter would be welcomed quite nicely).

Otherwise I'm really quite happy with the new fictional tracks PD's made, particularly Maggiore and Dragon Tail, which are joy to drive around. They remind me a lot of an Apricot hill of GVS in their layout, so if there was to be more of the same track wise, I'd have no issue.

As far as anything else other than what's been said? Well can't think of too much else other than more variety in what races we have in Sport Mode, as that's a very good idea. The current setup of a standard one-make, Gr.3 and Gr.4 is perfectly fine, but I think a bit of variety and switch-up of race could open sport mode up even more.

More options for creating a lobby. League creation, championship creation, more manufacturers! And more tracks! There's no excuse for the fantasy tracks to be missing

Right now I think the game really needs a couple more online championships.

I think plans for this are even in the works. If you check the documentation in game for Sport mode, one of the screenshots has a picture of a non FIA championship like in the classic GT career mode.

I’m sure he’ll implement this, I just wish there were some in there now.

Also: BRING BACK THE FORMULA GT, we need open wheel racing!

F1 2017 is one of the best in that aspect. Even their racing lines are more reactive and provide much more information to the player than any other racer.

A very easy one, I think:
In one make Sport Mode races where the car is "borrowed" by PD (Peugeot RCZ, Audi TT, etc.), we should be allowed to use our custom liveries, if we have some for the car in question.

The hard ones:
Fix the damn penalty system...
Put an offline career mode...

Needs more content, tracks in particular, and given the choice I'd want real world tracks. Then take that extra content and make more daily events, create more variety, whether that's daily time trials, endurance races, multi class grids.

Introduce qualifying before each race.
Change one of the daily races to every few days.
Those two above are big for me but other than those it's an ok online SIM/arcade racer which is what I got it for.

1. I want to race with people around the world, not only with those who are in my region in sport mode.
2. I want to participate in Nations and Manufacturers cup, but can't find right entry time.

Solution : Don't divide region and put them all into one basket. then cycle Point races 24 hours. BOOM!! I'm happy!!

First of all, it would be great if actually this kind of thread could be acknowledged by PD.

Anyway, personally I think that with GT Sport we finally have a good balance between handling and simulation, and this is especially valid if we talk about playing with the pad. I have been playing (and I am currently playing) other racing games as AC and PC2, but the handling of GTS is out of reach for all of them.

On this note, what I would REALLY love to be improved in GTSport is:

- collisions / crashes / car damage: this is very weak point of GT series. Nowadays, we have other games (even less serious than GT) that show a much better implementation of these aspects. Every time that there is a collision (with another car / with an element of the track), the illusion of driving a car is completely lost, gone. Bumping against a protection barrier is so irrealistic that is almost childish and reminds of the typical Sega arcade driving games (nothing against them, they were great, but were arcade). I would really love PD to take this aspect seriously and bring it up to a next level, the overall immersion will benefit dramatically. I am just dreaming but it would be also nice to see that every different type of protection barrier ''reacts'' different when is hit by a car (a pile of tires shacking and absorbing, and reacting differently from a box of compressed grass or from a metallic fence/guardrail).

- Custom championship: I know GTSport is an online focused game, but it would be nice to have the option to setup online and offline custom championships, with the opportunity to select tracks and number of tracks, type of cars, laps, endurance, etc etc.

- More tracks, more tracks, more tracks: this game needs actually more tracks than cars, and tracks which are accurately reproduced (bumps, levels, etc etc).

- Customizable HUD: I personally like for immersion to have the HUD information at bare minimum, but for example in this case I am not able to select any change to the setup on the fly (like the TCS or brake balance). I would love PD to introduce the opportunity to edit and arrange the HUD with the items that we want, and maybe to have some items which disappear if not selected after a while.

- Radio Info: It would be stellar if they could introduce some (few) actually info messages, which could advise the player on some race updates/info, such as yellow flags in some parts of the track, last lap, limited fuel...etc etc.

- Rain and dynamic weather/time: self esplanatory.

If they could start with these, it would dramatically improve the game.
