OMG, there is a HUGE ERROR in the Apex book that comes with the collectors edition. On the last paragraph on page 20 it says the Alfa Romeo 6C when there is no 6C only the 8C.

Pre-order canceled. :lol

Alfa Romeo did make a 6C.

Would anyone pay $50 for just the book? That's the difference in price between the standard game and the Australian collector's edition.

Being a gt fan I had to have the Collector's edition but I can't help feeling I have been ripped off.

I like the book for sure but I've got one gripe with it. The writing is too small!!

I've got good eye sight and don't need glasses (got eyes tested a few months ago) and I really struggle reading the text.

I wouldn't pay $30-$40 for it by itself but I'm glad I got the Aust Collectors edition.

You mean that the book has writing in it. I thought it was microfiche:sly:.
You think the print in the Apex book is small you should try to read the Prima Guide (It states Convenient size) Compact size to stay where you play. The print is 1/16 inch Pictures are 1.75" x 1". Man these cutbacks and downsizing are bad.

Riiiiight...screw mother nature, i want BIG PICS and BIG BIG LETTERS!

I know tis old school but maybe y'all should invest in Magnifying glasses.

Is anyone else's Apex book missing pages? im missing a few track pages and the cars from A-H. a few track pages are also upside down...

My Apex Book is the same.
Missing Cars from A-H and the pages are substituted with upsidedown duplicates of the photomode chapter.

Very dissappointed.

I'd pay $40 for it if it was hardcover and bigger (physical size).

Overall considering you get a very detailed 1:43 and a really nice keychain as well, plus 5 very nice DLC cars that you would probably get nailed $5-$10 for later, its not a horrible deal... Not really a screaming good deal either but not horrible.

I just checked mine I have all the pages and cars. I bought my CE at Gamestop not sure if you purchased yours from a different retailer. No upside down pages either. I feel luck now I suppose.

Lucky you. I got mine from Best Buy. Missing cars and tracks chapter, replaced with duplicate pages of other content that is already in the book but backwards and upside down.

This thread isn't even serious to start off, I don't know if people are checking this out. Thanks for checking yours.

My dad noticed an error in the Apex book on the release date. In the car list, the picture for the 2004 Z06 is incorrect. It's a C5 (as correctly noted in the text), but the picture is of a C6.

Yes, its the RM C6 Z06 as well. The book was poorly proofread and quality control was severly lacking... wait, that matches th egame on the Blu-Ray in the package so its ok I guess... at least they are consistantly bad.

Actually rather pathetic if you think about it - PD and Sony are the only company on the planet that can RUSH a 6 year project :/

AMEN! There is no way I can see that super small print in the car section, it would have been nicer had they made the book larger. There is a lot of good info in it otherwise.

In my opinion, the GT Apex magazine is one of the most informative and interesting booklets I've ever read. Regardless of the few grammatical errors, which I too have noticed, it is a suprisingly good item for CE and SE purchasers. Good work PD.

The simplest solution for your decaying eyesight :) It's like PlayView (tm) in your pocket:

I'm also missing pages 209-240, I got it from Amazon. It sucks, but in all I do like the CE :)

This is what we used to get in the way of QUALITY well produced and FINISHED GT Franchise items 'back in the day".

I an dothers got used to quality when it came to the GT franchise.

Quite franky, for the $100 I paid for the CE version the book was a cheap piece of trash and more of an insult to the die-hard GT fan than anything. The 1:43 car is on the shelf alongside my other 100+ 1:43 scale cars. I really consider the CE to have been a game and a car. The book is a $10 book - a little pathetic softcover pamplet riddled with errors.

For the $100 we should have got a hard cover coffeee table quality book - something befitting the GT franchise. :)

I bought the GT4 book and loved it. It cost me 2 pound (English).
I now have the Apex book and also find it useful. The problem is; what I paid for the CE cost half a months salary for the average Joe where I live. It's only because I'm relatively well paid I can afford it easily. Most people I know cannot, in this sense it's a waste of cash in my eyes.
