Dangit....all this talk about your brothers gets me down, *cries* sorry this is an emotional time for me i wish i had a brother who could drift so i could do some twin drifts....
WANTED TO BUY:
BROTHER: drift skills are essential, must be able to drift a mini cooper...coz thats all hes allowed to use....

...will pay generous amount....
o0o0o0o my FF Drift vid is nearly dun
Oh and as for drifteen and all those ppl who are new to driftin if you are thinking of giving up it just goes to show you wat skills u really have...ur a quiter...no one is perfect so u shouldnt be ne different...drifting is an aquired skill!
heck im not that good but not once did i think of quitting hell no......
Take it all in bit by bit...u should find its easier learning if u learn each skill independantly...for example learning to countersteer until u feel confortable, then moving on to regulating the acclerator and brakes etc...
try this i dunno if it will help u but it helped me when i first started, it helps get used to counter steer (well it did for me):
buy a nissan 200sx s14 model
upgrage the entire drive train
and buy sim tyres
set the gear box to a relatively close ration (what i did to sorta help figure this out was to open it up on the main straight of just about ne track and adjust the gear box until ur car tops out in top gear just before the end of the straight)
and have the lsd set to 5 for initial and decceleration and say 10 -15 for accelaration...wat this does is increase the cars straight line stability slightly and better accel but not a lot, making the car just a bit harder to get sideways
now im guessing that uve jumped straight in off the deep end and put ur tc down to 0? well just for the sake of getting comfortable set it to 1 and the asm to 0 the reason for this is the when i start to get wheel spin the car will automatically ease off the accelerator to the strength u have the tc set to. so this will still allow u to get the car into a drift for a little while until the tc begins to take effect thus straightening u up and dissabling u from revving the car out and spinning out so easy...u wont be able to hold a drift for long periods of time this is just so u can get comfertable with counter steering then once you are capable of controlling the car gradually work ur way up, like setting the tc to 0 and reducing the lsd accel to 5 and work on accelerator regulation.
a tip for the feint motion technique when u begin trying it again tho...once u feel more comfertable in a drift and u want to tackle this technique buy a brake balance kit and set ur bias to 14 front and 10 rear this giving the front more stopping power . now when u want to try this feint motion start near enuff the middle of the road but closer to the corner ( eg if the corner turns left stay just to the left of centre) the as u approach turn right till there is roughly a .5-1.5cm gap that u can see between the roof and edge of the road, this will only be a slight moment and should place u near enuff the middle of centre and right edge of the track and then flick the stick, wheel, d-pad left and brake this will/should cause the rear of the car to step out slighty then once this happens add enuff power to overcome traction the car should start drifting
ok enuff sed i hope this helps u out...remember with patience and practice ull soon be drifting like a pro.....
