505pp room, Street & Clean only,

There are a dozen street cars that can beat the elise, but I'm fond of her.

Why was I kicked from a room, whereas the BMW GTR is a tolerable car?

am I missing something?

They could have all been friends and trying to keep it that way. I got booted out of a nascar lobby before I even got on the track. I used the specified car too. Unfortunately stuff like that happens every now and then it seems.

Getting kicked without explanation is a pretty stinky experience.

You start thinking, 'jeez, is it my PSN name? is it my country? my car?'

And then you think, 'sod it, I would've beaten them all anyway'

What would people have against Canadians?

I have nothing against Canadians and have never kicked anyone for where they live but what's with the "Canadians Only" or QC Quebec Canada" rooms. Sounds like revenge to me...

I never saw those rooms since I only race online with friends (from all over the world) :) in my lounge, but I believe that the Quebec Canada rooms are made for those who don't speak English, but only French. It's the only explanation I have at the moment...

I won the whole damn thing with it. Sucks for you. It wasn't even a challenge though, to tell you the truth.

Ahh ok, I just never assumed there was so much tension between the two countries but the language theory makes sense.

I'm sure they understand english....Maybe they just want to speak their native language...like some brazilian or italian room.

I bet the 111r was the problem LOL!

I'd say also possibly because it was RM'd, but given the the OP hasn't responded to all the comments about that particular query it's difficult to make that call.

Either that or it was painted pink, thought you were a girl and all got wood, which put them off. Either way, without a reasonable explanation, getting kicked is a bummer.

whats the point of using an elise111R online? Your doing laps on your own same as offline, except you got a few other cars driving about behind you.

I had one in a lobby of mine and I should have asked him to change cars because within 30mins 1/2 of the racers were using them. The guys using them might have been having fun, but I think they would have preferred to use their original cars against a variety of similarly fast cars (other wise they would have been in their Elise from the start).

You may laugh, but I appreciate the Dutchman's support. So thank you Gejabo :sly:

As for the Elise, what other cars (besides the Beemer) were racing? Might be down to the massive weight advantage that comes with Lotus. Other than that, perhaps as others have mentioned, simply an unappreciative Lotus-despising host.

Yeah that still doesn't make sense seeing as there are plenty of other non-speaking english rooms that don't promote one language only. Also you not seeing them (not to be mean) and your reason is exactly why. I think the user was saying the canadian bit to be somewhat funny, cause if you go to public rooms especially nascar, Canadians seem to get made fun of. Which...makes no sense.

As for the OP I'd say just do what v-fal and others do, round up your friends and race them in the community.

Have to admit that having Elise 111R on the field often makes it a race for second place for everyone else (if the Elise driver knows what he is doing). There are other very fast cars too though...

The car is not RM'd, it is stock + restricted upgrades + added ballast to land it at 505pp.

I'm a fan of 505pp restricted street Nurburgring racing.

A good driver in a NSX-R (street) and a lexus LFA (street) and a Honda S2000 (street) can easily beat the Elise (505pp), especially if tapped anyplace on the track, the Elise will most likely lose in a fender bender.

But it is gratifying to win races with it against those good drivers.

Was I kicked for being Canadian? highly possible, however, it is brutal to race an online session with 15 other non-National drivers doing all they can to ram you off the track, yet still come out victorious from behind. (Not a Greek joke, btw.))

i found that in japanese rooms u don't get kicked

even if u are a complete arsehole

was testing a drift car the other day, hitting everybody, goin off and on the track, untill a point i became fed up with it lol

but didn't get kicked, did enter the room saying 'konishiwa japan'
