I just saw some users getting banned today and these questions came up from me:

How many users a day do you ban (average)?
What is the most common reason?
What's the highest number of users you have banned in a single day?

If I kept track, I would have turned in my mod badge many years ago. :)

The most common reason would be spam bots, like the user you witnessed getting banned tonight. On a very active day, I have banned a mere 15+ users. Other staff, I'm sure, have much higher numbers.

Yeah, that "thing" I corrected telling that "it" posted on the wrong forum section, I went curious about his posts and I knew he was spamming, I wanted to report it to a mod but when I checked his profile it was already banned

Thank you for the answer!

For question #2, it's mainly because fools do the following:

"Clicking on "I have read and agreed to the terms & conditions" when you haven't done either doesn't give you exemption, no matter how hard you believe it does."

:D :D :D

Back when GT5 was released, fifteen in one day was a good day.

how about a "great" and a "bad" day? :scared::scared::scared:

Yeah, this. GTPlanet's AUP is one of the very few "End User License Agreements" that I had to ACTUALLY READ from word to word just so I can keep using this site with no problems. :scared::lol:

For sure! But I did verbatim after I got two (yes, two) infractions worth 10 points each. Expiring: NEVER. I mean, never?
I was young, stupid and ugly... Now these 20 points are hanging like sword of Damocles above my head and it`s not a good feeling.

A bit off-topic but: Is is possible to obtain pardon after a year or so? Even if you get life imprisonment in Germany you can ask for pardon after 15 years.

"Good" means no more than 15 or not less than 15?
No more than fifteen.

I couldn't even begin to tell you. I think I banned fifteen accounts - most, if not all of them, ad-bots - in one hour once. Only a handful of moderators come from Australia and New Zealand, so there was the occasional period where there was a whole lot of activity and only a handful of moderators.

In the end, it's why I stopped being a moderator. The forums were no longer fun.
