I finally Got My license almost a month After turning 16! Freedom is mine! All I have to do now is get the Biscayne tagged and registered and I'm set..

hahaha. yeah, seriously. i've gone through all the stuff they cover in the tests though. i mean, all the stuff that doesn't require a main road.

I'd say first thing is to drive enough to get used to box trucks and semis. I've driven alot on Highway 36, which is Truck Infested, and they still scare the **** out of me. I probably need to get a better sense of how much space I have when merging left from the on ramp.

But, on a more fun note, the First thing I'm going to do is drive over to a friend's house. No more being dropped off for me.

My mom wants me to drive the SC300 that she sold to my dad, but I like the Biscayne more. Pity both of them are in Marceline, Missouri. Oh well, I shouldn't complain, some of my friends don't even have a car, and technically I have two.

I drive alongside many trucks everyday (I take Interstate 5 to school, and that's the main truck route through California), and they're normally not a problem at all – usually they're the better drivers on the road, since they have to undergo such difficult tests to get their truck-driving license. Not to say that they're all good though – the only time I've ever leaned on my horn on the freeway was when a truck was about to pull in front of me while I was starting to pass him. I couldn't afford to stop (he was going about 30 mph slower than I), so I just slammed the horn and hoped he'd heed it, which he did.

Anyway, truckers tend to be fairly good drivers, so I don't worry about them too much.

I've never had any trouble with Truck drivers, they're sensible, over here Bus drivers are the ones to look out for

I have yet to get my licence, maybe in a month-ish ....

Blake I agree. Here in California the public buses are very dangerous. Just now they put in LCD "YIELD" signs in the rear of their buses because since they are on a time schedule they just don't look and pull out of the bus stop sometimes not even putting the yield sign to use. So yeah watch out for the public bus system.

In Belgium that would be the cheap and long way. Over here you can start earlier and get your license a lot faster if you get it through a driving school. But those are way too expensive (and they don't make you a better driver). The earliest that you can start driving in Belgium is when you are 16 years and 9 months old, but that will cost you atleast € 1100.

The Biscayne:

It's got the Stovebolt 235 and a 4 on the floor with a Hurst shifter, but we're going to put in a 305 and a TH350 from a Camaro.

I don't have any pics of the other one, It's a 1992 Lexus SC300.

@ race idiot: dorifto would be easy in the biscayne, because the drum brakes lock up and can easily put a car sideways when thay do. It's really scary. I was going down a road the first time I drove the biscayne, and I slammed the brakes because I wasn't sure how fast I was going (speedometer doesn't work) and they locked up and almost had the car going sideways. By the way, is your Eczema still bugging you?

Wow, your first car is a biscayne. I love the looks of those cars. Hopefully I'll get an RX-7 for my first car. I was assured I was going to but with my recent family problems which lead to some money problems might prevent that from happening.

Very nice potential. You will be happier with the 350 instead of the 305 but im sure you will still be happy either way just as long as you can drive.
