Hi guys,

Loads of people get agravated when they get kicked, fact is most people are STUPID.

Let me explain, when im in a room and since GT5 is a SIM, you should play it like one if not go/create a kinder garden room. Maybe im getting old and whitout patient or intolerant, but to me this game should be played like you would if you were in real life.

Reasons why i (or friend that usually hosts to) kick all the time:

-Wrong cars (even tho you type and say what cars elegible, like class race, etc. Dont need to be a genious, i go in Finland room where i dont undestand a word i see everybody in road car i´m not going to choose a Calsonic.)
-Exiting pits (if you leave pit you have 2 see if someone is coming in flying lap and let him pass, not going to ruin his lap. Theres a map with icons reckon not hat hard)
-Cutting on Qualifying (cheating is sad in all ways, and sadly you get no penalties in qualifying. Trial Mountain and Nur GP/F are good example)
-Not waiting (bumping someone or loosing control can happen, but if so and you get advantage you have to wait for driver you overtooke or put in gravel. Theres something called gentleman driving, besides fact in real life would get black flag)
-Dirty driving (using others to do corners, bumping faster drivers, overtaking in stupid places causing accidents, etc. God i wich IA/penalties were way better even in online gaming)

Besides other obvious reasons of not respecing people, country discrimination, etc, those reasons listed are more then enough to get kicked, i want to play with fast and clean drivers.

People who don´t like/agree, thats the beauty of it...loads of servers out there where they can play.

Tc all and nice races M8s.

Nice i would like to join your room;)

I hate to say it but those are all pretty good reasons to kick people. Why did you post this though?

I think he posted this cuz someone probably told him something in a very nasty manner. Just me speculating tho.

Well I meant in the Q&A section. Heres a question... if you kick someone, does the message say you got kicked or disconnected?

I think those are all fair grounds to kick someone.

I agree that if one joins a serious room then one is expected to act seriously and race in a manor which is fair and suitable.

I wish more people could have this mind set in the online lobby.

I feel like a facebook troll but i wish i could *like* this thread. Im tired of the morons online that cant get a clue. You sir are a true driving enthusiast and i plan to add you so we can race together.

Hmm, I agree with most of this, except maybe what you class as not waiting and take advantage; if I have a good line and can pass you and you decide not to yield, then sorry but I'm going to push you off the line, if you end up in the gravel that's not my problem, I had the line and you didn't, it was your decision not to pull back not mine, even in tight areas and let's face it, you see that kind of a thing all over in motorsport.

I won't physically ram anyone out of the way though, and I will make efforts not to hit people, even in free for all rooms like on the Top Gear track, if I see someone drifting, I know full well they don't have the complete control to move out of my way, so I just hang on back.

I think there should be an option for invisible cars (non contact) cars that can hit each other always ends in tears in most rooms.

i was in a room last night in a shuffle race on the high speed ring, i was in a Clio sport, every other person was in RX-7's, skylines etc.. i was in 2nd place and a skyline is screaming up behind me im going into a bend and start to loose it ( i dont have time to look behind me to see a car coming ) but the skyline can see im loosing control. to which he still colides with me, but straightens me out, and messes himself up, this happened twice during the 4 lap race, to which i came 2nd, because he felt i was "loosing control" on purpose he decided to speak up and get me kicked, i just laugh because the guy in the skyline and his RER crew are Shocking drivers, and he didnt like the fact i beat him in my clio! when your to eager to win the race, you do stupid things if the skyline driver was a good driver he would of gave me space/ broke earlier/ or just gone around me!

and you can tell when a driver is so eager to win a race, he jumps in his CLK touring car, when the rest are in road cars.. 1 chance only to change your car... = Kick!

Well if you have ghost cars ... the race will be called time trial ... not a real race. After all defending against some1 else is major part of the bussiness. I presume almost every1 has at least 1 race when he won in an inferior car, right? Well at least I do. Actually I prefer that. It's more satisfying then to just disappear into the distance. :)

Here lies the problem.

You are judge and jury. Maybe you should let others kick you, if you break you own rules. Which you will do at some point.

Maybe he lost the corner also. :dopey:
But in all honesty ... he was just dumb to talk like that. Move on. :)

^he did loose the corner, but because this happened twice and he was letting his Team RER (LOL) down he felt the need to get me kicked.
a good driver wouldnt of spat there dummy out they would of proved them selves on the next race! Sore, Sore loooseerrr!!!!

there is too many people on here that treat this game like Forza, this not Forza!!!

What's the question?

This is just a statement... why don't you start a blog rather than posting a thread?

I'll lie if I say I was not kicked from lobbies. Everybody is/was at some point.

If it is your room, then more power to you. But I don't really see a point in this other than just a rant.

This is a great example of poor racing etiquette. As the lead driver, I have no obligation to give you my position and every right to the racing line of my choice. I have the right on a straightaway to move over and take the path I choose for my point of entry in a corner. It's your duty as the so called faster driver behind me to make a clean pass on the driving line that is available to you, that I leave for you. If you can't make it past me clean and feel the need to bump me off the road to do so, you aren't "faster" than me, you are "slower" than me, but a dirty driver.

I agree with the OP on all counts. The only time though I see it mismanaged, is when it is done through complaining, as opposed to observation. In my experience, the dirty drivers are often the loudest complainers and get the most attention. If a host is just listening to people complain and punting so called offenders due to verbal complaints, I can see where they will lead to a lot of hard feelings.

what happens to me often... crashed out... last place...

so i push hard.. then i try to overtake.... and someone at place 15 shoot you out...

really... this sort of people should be kicked real life... in the ass^^

Thank you all for the feedback and suport.

I used to race in real life, even thoug was superbikes, so i know thing or two about fair racing, and reckon thats me and my SIM interpretation of this game, on how should be driven like in real life.
I posted this to express the way i see/play gt5 and to see if any one else felt same way, all i want is to race clean and faster guys then me so i improve and push myself to the limit, and turnoff ps3 at end with gratifying races and a :dopey: on my face.

If any of you that identifies with this SIM racing and adds me i´ll be happy to race with you, in the end that´s what i want proper racing.

If i posted this on wrong place, am sorry i´m noob at this forum.

So because I'm quicker, I'd have to wait until you leave something like 3 car widths from an apex and hope that nobody decides to try and make a move behind me? I've never really seen that before, I think though I've seen where there's just about a car width, and that they hold the line, and the other person ends up yielding or going off the track to avoid contact.

If I'm more than half way up your car, you can see me there, you know I'm coming, and it's upto you to either yield, or try to hold your line and get the launch on the exit, or keep so close that you can take a wide line into the next corner and brake late, and retake the position. If though it backfires on you, I hold the better line and only leave you with the dirty part of the track, or the grass to go off on, kinda your problem for leaving a car width of room from the apex and for not realising I am going to overtake but yet you decided to try and push on anyway. By no means will I ram you or make contact, but I'm not going to just sit there while you hinder my race.

If two cars go into a turn side-by-side, it's the inside guys responsibility to remain inside until he's clear. It's not acceptable in any way, shape, or form, to push the other car so far outside that he's off track. That is a DICK move any way you look at it. Just because you have the draft and dive bomb somebody in a turn, doesn't mean he should be forced to yield. It's your job to clear him CLEAN without ruining his race.

As for the OP, I'm with you man! I run a super strict lobby, and people who obey the rules seem to appreciate it. What's more, we can have epic 5-10 lap races without any issue between half a dozen cars or more.

I allow NO contact whatsoever. Zero tolerance for dicks and retards.

So the person on the outside shouldn't accept he's lost position? Sorry, but if you've lost position, don't try and stay pushing the other car into an accident situation, pull back and then go on the offensive yourself, if you're going to try and stick it out, don't blame me if your move cost you to go off track, as for one you shouldn't have left room if you didn't want overtaking, and another you lost the position so it's not really my problem if you can't yield.

If you can't handle an aggressive racing move, then that's not my problem, that's motorsport, and you're not going to see many races where people don't make a move, just incase they upset someone who ends up off track because they couldn't accept a place loss. I think you'll find for example in the BTCC, racers put their lights on to indicate they're going to make an overtaking move, so that you know to yield in the case of an aggressive move and not to go and be silly and try and hold position when the other person has the line.

You're wrong. I could give up the spot, but I certainly don't have too. And if you force me off, it's your fault. It's your move that cost me to go off track. You came up behind, stole my line, and then cut me off. That's not an acceptable racing tactic unless it's the end of the race.

Just because the car in front didn't block you going into a turn, is not an excuse to dive bomb them and put them off. Racing is about give & take... You obviously only believe in taking.

Sure you don't have too, but then don't cry when you end up going off (or other people, I'm not getting from this that you go complaining for half an hour like some >_>). Sure, I'm an aggressive driver, but then again winning isn't something that's just going to be given to you without a push. Sure, if I'm not half way up your car I'm not going to push, I'll yield and I'll come back as I know I can take you, but if I'm past you, and you're only half way up my car, then the position's mine, and it's likely I'm carrying speed and can't just move clean out of the way, that way I will make contact due to understeer under breaking.

If you don't block someone going into a turn, then you're not driving defensively and if the door is open, I'm going to take it, I'm by no means going to ram into the side of you, but I'm going to take an overtaking opportunity if it's there, even if tight. Look at Formula 1 (just because I'd imagine most people on here watch that), you see time after time someone taking the line under someone and pushing the other driver wide, it's part of racing.

Knuckleduster agree on all points, you're the type of guy I like to race with.

Something I would just add regarding exiting pits, if like me you don't have the map on and are not aware of everyone's position please use the damn mirror(s) when exiting the pits!

If you hit me because of under steer, you didn't have room to make the pass. It's only a good pass inside if you can slow down enough to make it stick without putting the other guy off.

I'm not going to run a blocking line in the first few laps of a race. That is a stupid tactic, and will just slow down my overall lap times and let the behind cars catch up.

As far as F1 goes, or ALMS, or any racing series for that matter, you won't see drivers dive-bombing turns and then forcing the outside car into the wall. Sure it happens, but not because the inside guy did it on purpose. You obviously think it's ok to do on purpose.

Obviously I'm never going to get my point across - I'm just very glad that I've never had to race against you. Your delusion goes a long way towards explaining why it's so hard to have a good race online though.

Try that move against real racer in a real car and see how much respect you get. Better yet perhaps, just go play Forza and let the real men drive and have fun on GT5.
