Too true , I see a lot more in a dirty lobby than clean , that doesn't mean I prefer dirty to clean, it's a fact :dopey:

It's because the host of the clean room kicked the dirty drivers :) But nobody gets kicked from the dirty rooms.

I'm not liking the 'dirty shuffle racing with boost on high' trend, I love a clean shuffle race but more than half of shuffle lobbies have boost on high and tend to be a dirty affair rather than a test of driver skill.
 
I personally think it depends.
A lot of the time, I despise people who ram. But at times, I do find it a lot of fun. There's been times where I've specifically gone into a dirty racing room, or a room that allows ramming, just for a laugh and it really does make a nice change to the usual formality of 'clean racing. Ram = Kick' rooms.

However, I think it has a time and a place.

Wrong , I host both types a lot and the dirty lobby's fill up more than the clean and I also kick people from the dirty lobby's if they don't comply with the rules 👍

My main rules are as follows.

Race dirty.

Dirty attitude. = Kick (byebye)

Its all about fun and making new online friends that will join your race lobby's when their dirty or clean.
 
I would just stay behind and watch everybody in front of me wreck,humour is likely to get anger out I reckon.;)

Oh I know, I was just posting a possible reason. Like I said, theres a culture of dirty driving on all console racers, which is why i've registered for the GTP registry so I can have clean races with a clear set of rules. So it's not surprising the dirty rooms fill up quick.

ramming withouth car damage is just pointless, ramming with this flawed "crash physics" is the same pointless thing...

ramming on need for speed 2 shift is nice, because you can destroy the whole car/opponents car


but really... ramming in GT5, dont have words for it... its just stupid in my mind...

This is one of the most exciting things in the game xP. Expecially when we all kill over eachother on the last lap.. and some random guy from 16th place passes throught the wreckage and wins the race:tup:

GT5 is not the sort of place I like to vent rage in. Its a game where precision, skill, concentration and staying calm are key to winning a race.

If I want to ram someone, i'll play Burnout. If I want to vent, i'll play GTA.

GT5 should have a Destruction Derby mode. DD2 on the PS1 was wicked. Imagine that with PS3 power.

I also adore ramming others to push them off track both in online and offline, it's the most effective way of venting my dudgeon and interesting to see if they can be shoved off by another following car when others later approach from behind. :lol:
 
Top Gear test track with damage on. You could open a lobby and have a demolition derby. Last car running wins. Maybe first one to complete 10 laps wins :)

Now where did I put my tank car?

Hold on hold on , dirty racing is just a fun lobby just for laugh and nothing else . Just because people like to do some dirty racing doesn't make them a bad driver, I do lots of dirty races and also lots of clean racing . Basics of dirty racing is to block , push aside , put other into pits , what ever it takes to win but NOT to go round the track the wrong way , this results in a kick . I understand that others disagree with BAD and DISRESPECTFUL drivers, and i do too only if I'm in a clean lobby . As long as the title states exactly what's going on then I can't see what the problem is . Dirty is just another side to racing and if it's not for you then don't join "simple" . There's lots of people here on GTP that join dirty lobby's who are also very very good clean racers . 👍

This. Me and some friend open this kind of lobby to have fun, and man, we do.
And yes, they are clean driver usually [and really fast] and yes, many guys from gtp.
Many people in this thread have thinked the wrong thing reading the title and the first post. Dirty racing can be done only in dedicated room, NEVER in clean room, never. We have some rules, it may sound funny but yes. The main one is no backward. The goal is the fist place like always, but in an extreme condition, believe me it's not easy. You have to keep the car on the track doing crazy things. No aids also! LOL

That's all. I find it really funny, and you make many friends there, because even when someone push you into the pits on the last turn, you laugh anyway. Then you can race clean with them. It's crazy but probably i find better drivers there than in "clean" room, really.

You may find this stupid,it's ok, i know that gt is not burnout.
Anyway the only thing you have to remember is: dirty only in dirty rooms. No respect for who ruin the fun in normal rooms.

A funny thing is that my first playstation game was destruction derby 2. LOL
And another one: online i'm that type of guy who goes in the sand rather than hit other drivers, usually.
