I want to join a league, but I will not join a league that allows the use of racing soft tires. I use a wheel, and racing softs are super unrealistic.

If anybody knows or has a league that uses realistic tires for the cars being raced, please let me know if you want a new member. I'm into racing anything above 450pp, street, race, f1, etc.

Have you looked at the sheer volume of racing series, leagues, and club events... ?
Most do not use slicks at all, let alone racing soft. :boggled:

Yes. Most don't list tire restrictions, which I can only assume means they allow all tires

That's a big lie.

What leagues don't list tire restrictions? :boggled:

Name them.
I've yet to look at a posted race event here without some kind of tire restriction specified.

Are you trolling? And I'm the only fool bothering to respond to such nonsense?

I'm not trolling. I really don't understand why you're taking offense to this. I'm trying to find a league that will be to my liking. That's all.

In a 5 minute cursory browse through the online events forums...

These didn't specify tires... but it's SHUFFLE so well, tire restriction is obvious & unnecessary! (And definitely not slicks!)

This one allows racing soft, but only for above 551PP

UPDATE: THIS league no longer allows racing softs at all.

I found all of these, all of which list tire restrictions and NONE allow racing soft.
Indeed, many only allow sports or even only comforts.

If I can come up with all these links in a few minutes... You see why I'm confused by your post, right?

Append: I guess I'm offended because some of us take the time to organize & post events, and make the tire restrictions very clear. There are MANY OF US. And you're basically closing your eyes and claiming nobody in the forum is restricting tires. As if none of those links above exist. :boggled:

I mean what more do you want from race hosts? A hand written & hand delivered invitation?

And PS: complaining about people who race with racing soft tires, is kind of old hat and very old news on this forum.

I let racers on my team use any tire. It is a 560pp lvl and any car (that is reasonable). If you want to join send me a msg over PSN or Gtplanet. I prefer that you have a mic and I have a rule that you have to be over 13 yrs old.

I list tyre specifications clearly in my series and never use racing soft. Wear out too quick and too unrealistic.

Oooh who resurrected this thread to advert racing softs? :sly:

I list tyre specifications clearly in my series

And many of us appreciate your specific clarity of presentation. 👍
Most of the series & leagues around here are pretty good about listing all the specifications, thankfully.

Hi Tom, why don't you race with me sometime just for fun, we can do this one :

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=260869

Most GTP members here won't even look into this one, no aids (ABS), sports medium in SuperGT/JGTC, no tuning. It was made for pure fun and challenge for close racing, but sadly most are aiming to win without compromise (no tuning+ no aids+less grip tire)

To further make your point, we no longer allow racing softs. ;)

I will update my OP. :)

Times they change! The thread was resurrected from the dead to reveal a time when I obviously was feeling a bit under appreciated for being so specific about my race regulations!!

Thank you. Sports medium with Super GT's or any touring car for that matter is one of the best ways to race in GT5. So much fun
