Anyone else have a new-found respect for how good GT5 is after playing F1 2011 on PS3?

Yeah. But I also just got a new PC, so I'm also looking forward to F1 2011 in a resolution that blows away GT5.

GT5 is boring. The most boring game I've ever played. Driving a 11 lap race in F1 2011 is exciting start to finish. Driving a 5 lap race in GT5 makes me want to kill myself.

I heard about the new updates and dlc...and thought I might pick it up again but forget that the driving is so boring and won't change.

GT5 is for driving simulation and organized online play. The AI is basically non-existent.

If you find GT5 boring you should join one of those shuffle room, they are awesome in term of fun and most of the time you have close racing with at least 3-4 other opponent who knows what they do and not drive on a rail.

It's so hard to get good races in GT5. It's almost impossible to get a good race in something like an F1 car or a LMP unless you join an organized league, which does not appeal to me. F1 2011 with legend AI is keeping me entertained for now.

I play F1 2011 on PC so the game looks great and runs at better frame rates than GT5.

Not really. We've come to expect ridiculous visuals, good force feedback, and smooth gameplay from GT5. These are the core features that keep people buying the series.

F1 2011 on the other hand does well in its own respect. Yes, even on the ps3. It represents F1 probably the best of any F1 games to date. Even though its visuals, fps, and ffb aren't GT5 standard it doesn't make it any less appealing. I love F1 2011(ps3) and will probably buy for PC sometime later on.

Theres one thing F1 has that GT5 doesn't and thats competitive ai. I can play F1 offline and have a great time. On GT5, I have to play online cause the offline ai put me to sleep.

Two different games that both deserve a spot in a racer's game library.👍
