And I just got back from lunch.

Keep up the therapy and give us updates on how it's going.

BTW, we never got a description of your therapist. :sly:

Things here have still been interesting. I'm constantly doing something.

That picture was taken two weeks after my first surgery. You can see towards the bottom of the picture that at that angle, I've still got 2 rods coming through my hand. I hope this pic illustrates better what happened.

Red circle - 2 of 4 metal rods coming out of my hand.
Blue circle - White bandage cover part of my pinky that is still unhealed. It's still bleeding and oozing, the gauze is keeping infection out. It's also the only finger I have feeling in.
Purple circle - I have zero feeling in these 4 fingers. They don't move unless I make them with my right hand. The ring finger doesn't move at all.
Silver circle - Has 2 more metal going through it. Keeps it still so the bone can heal together where it was chopped through on the other side of my hand.
Green circle - The original path of the table saw blade. The 2 other lines are the cuts the doctors made to open my hand so they could do reconstruction surgery.

From the pinky web to 3 inches down I cut all the way through my hand. I still have stitches lacing the back side of my hand. Around 6 months from now I'll have a scar tissue removal surgery.

My therapist is not what I expected. 27 year old with long red curly hair. Very nice and very pretty. Soft hands too. :)

Sorry. I had to. I'm sick and need help.

It sounds like everything is going as well as it can. Keep the good attitude, Matt!

im sorry to hear that... i thought i had it bad cuttin' steel with a blowtorch and having to carry it hot i'm really lucky come to think of it.

Famine
Most physiotherapists are female and in their mid-twenties.

Aaaaaand that's the goal...

Take a pic of the top, too. Man, that's pretty messed up. I thought you sliced your fingers off and down through your hand, I didn't know you sawed your hand in half like THAT.

Man, I just cringe and get goosebumps wading through this thread. It reminds me of the time when I went through a glass window with my left hand, and looked just like yours now, but with a lot less stitches.

This scenario is one of my big fears. To lose the use of my hand. Bye-bye playing guitar, and other musical instruments. :nervous: :(

Hang in there, dude.

Wow, this sucks and why I've been reluctant about shop work. A friend of mine had a CNC machine accident. I can't remember what happened but he had one arm messed up for a while. It's ok now I think.

I hope everything gets better for you.

I'm not sure how many more of these pics I can take. I think we could all use a picture of your therapist to make the nausea subside.:D

My friend Holly has the better pictures of my hand. She gets off of work at 10:30PM. The rest of the photos will be updated later tonight. I assure you all that all angles are covered. :)

I'm pretty certain ,that as long as you can keep up your optimism and don't start using alcohol as the method of making the pain go away, your hand will recover just fine. My uncle didn't stop drinking, and even though it has been over three years since the accident, it hasn't recovered fully. he lost his fingers too, but because he kept drinking and smoking, two of the had to be removed after the first surgery.

lots of alkalines (calcium, potassium, etc.) and water are teh good.

Drinking and smoking isn't good period. Also, don't become diabetic.

HAVE BALLS!

Good luck with everything dude. My goal in life would be impossible if this happened to me, so I know it has got to suck pretty bad.

You never get the best of both worlds. Keep that in mind. It's one, the other, or half of each.

Welcome to common knowledge, may I take your order?

Off topicness levels are extraordinarily high, batman.

I don't know about anybody else, but I know quite a few good looking girls who are also intelligent, not every hot girl is as dumb as a brick. I also know that even though I thought that I did, I didn't know **** about girls when I was 13.
