I don't know how to program a computer. If I had the money I'd have to outsource.
Yet, you know how to please a world audience?

The problem is, they set their own trap be quoting such stupidly high numbers in the first place. Once they realised that doing the models how they wanted them would take far too long, they fell back onto old assets and here we are...
Here's a thought.. what if PD never went ahead with cockpit view (remember this means fm3 would never have,
While GT5 is clearly the prettiest simulator, you guys forgot what this game is all about!
Do any of you guys actually play?
I dont see any of the top GTP'ers complaining.
All the critics who have such brilliant ideas should make their own game, and not complain about ones they are not forced to buy, play or discuss.
While GT5 is clearly the prettiest simulator, you guys forgot what this game is all about! This game is about giving a true-to-life experience in your living room! So what if all the cars don't have cockpit view? Was it ever about that? No, not really. The physics is what most people should be focusing on right now. Making the game prettier and having more cockpits really doesn't add to that. And I bet most of us will be using a DFP/G25 and will be using the bumper cam anyways..
Yes, it would've been cool to have 1000 interiors, but it's really not that important for GT, I think. We all played and LOVED the other four Gran Turismo games and none of them had cockpit views..
So let me get this straight. PS3 premium cars become standard on ps4.
PD model premium cars for PS4.
PS4 gets 800 standard and 200 premium.
Déjà vu.

They hid standard cars from us for 5 years and just fed us eye candy.
I couldn't agree more with you mate! 👍 I am so looking forward to that! The new Physics will kick butt .... .... aids are for pansies.
the cars wont be harder to drive but more of a challenge to make players a better, more skillful driver. I'm not the best drifter around so I'm looking forward to learning a thing or two in that area. With bumper cam.
Absolutely.I play GT because of the car selection; getting to see my favorite street cars in the best graphics available, then driving them in a semi-realistic physics engine has always been fun. For pure realism though, GT is not the game I play. Live For Speed, rFactor, GT Legends, netkar pro, etc all dwarf GT in actual realism.
i agree with you as well, i actually LOVED the way the TT demo handled!Lets hope that changes when we get GT5 'cuz from the looks of the TT demo it is getting harder to drive the cars with all aids turned off in pro physics. I can hear the whinners now saying the car feels like it's on ice but its not IMO it's how the car feels when you are at the limit of adhesion.
I agree with you! Cockpit view is very important, especially if you have a cockpit to drive in.I find the cockpit view very important in simulating an experience. After all that is where you would exactly be when racing a real car. You wouldn't be on the bumper, or on the bonnet, you would be looking over a dashboard, dials and steering wheel.

👍I still havent seen a definitive answer from PD, have they catagorically stated that cockpit view is not on the standard cars? Or is it still assumption?
With that cockpit setup you have, you're doing yourself a great injustice by not having a PC hooked up there!
Erm...you guys do know that games like Live For Speed and rFactor require very little in terms of PC specs? An off the shelf Dell would run them. People with 7-8+ year old computers are still racing.

I have this and I'm totally happy it's not hooked up to a PC. I started out a a PC sim driver but got tired of upgrading graphic cards, drivers, memory, CPU's, sound cards, etc. Then when console games caught up with graphics like Project Gotham and GT series I started to doubt myself. Then GT4 and the 900 degree wheels came out I jumped ship and never looked back. No, I take that back went over a friends house and tried out iRacing with his 3 monitors and racing RIGG and was totally wowed! but I just don't see building a highend PC just to play iRacing and pay a fee on top of that.
This was back in 1994 so yeah I do know since I've seen my friends just lately. But knowing you always want the best and the fastest dosen't help from spending thousands of dollars on a PC just for gaming. I'll keep them separated this way I'll get more done when I'm working and on my PC. The temptation is just too much if your just one click away from work and iRacing. hehe!![]()
The GT5 TT demo proved the GT series can deliver realisitc physics and graphics.IMHO GT has always been about the graphics. Always has and always will. PC simmers are not to bothered about the graphics asking as the game has excellent physics etc.
The average GT fan is more preocupied by the look.
Just see the amount of posts on here spouting off about how GT looks compared to Forza.
Me I'm happy to take average graphics with realistic handling and appropriate selectable veiws.
Edit. Tip for Heath. When learning to drift try chase cam, it's about the best cam for learning that art.
Now this is true haha. But for true sim racing, GT and Forza can't compare to games like LFS, iRacing, rFactor, GT Legends, and others.![]()
The thing is GT5 was suppose to be super realistic.. No you tell me how it is realistic to drive any car with any view other than cockpit?
