I want GT5 AI back

If GTP moderator Dann isn't going to post the video he made in this thread, or anyone else, I may as well. It's all that needs to be said regarding the current state of GT6's AI:

Never mind all the 'pit maneuvers' occurring in GT6; that's just the AI ignoring player-controlled cars - unlike in the currently patched GT5.

The AI is perfectly fine as it is. Learn to make clean passes for gods sake.

The AI is fun in the sense that you have to push hard for 4 laps, and survive the 5th while one or two cars are breathing down your neck.

The AI gets on the offence, drives defensively when needed and doesn't jump in a ditch because some stupid player puts his car in a gap where there isn't one.

It's fun. End of. And in the faster races a real challenge.

Damn i never tought i would see the day when people actually wanted the previous GT AI back....

Mate, either add to the discussion in a way that's of some value to us all or keep your thoughts to yourself.

I deliberately hassled the AI a bit in the 500pp race on Silverstone in my S2000 and got shunted ONCE in three races. Use the bloody blind spot indicator, pick a line when entering the corner and stick to that line. That's pretty much common sense. Yeah well the AI backed off at some point but as I was on CS tyres (and the AI on SS) I finished three times in a row 3rd. The leading two cars slowed down but not enough to hand me the win.

So what was the original point of complain again?

Last lap, last corner nurburg 15 min race which is a 3 lapper. Spun off by the Ai ramming me. I was not happy.
Plus the Ferrari Dino vs 458 mission. Seriously PD?

That was first place where real frustration starts. Game is going on wrong direction if you start thinking how to knock AI cars out and creating different ways to do it. Many races later this frustration is making you think where you can do track shortening or push AI's side to make it slower and block others behind, crazy at you have to start drive like A-hole to manage against AI..
GT5 AI was ducks on string, but first duck was so far away at it won't let you lot of room to make mistake, if you was running on "equal" car or bit underpowered, on GT6 easiest way to win is drive like jerk or just drive out on first lap and spend a lot time on that lap, then AI goes so slow at it's super easy to overtake them.. Not really racing way, if race matters more than win then AI on GT6 is not for you.

LOL :dopey:
No way. Completely disagree.

In GT5, the AI just moved aside and slowed down for you to pass when you were trying to overtake... Terrible.

In GT6 at least the AI does a bit of effort to try to fight the position, but still nothing extraordinary.

If you have problems trying to overtake, it's all your fault and you need to improve.

Play GT2 then go back to GT6, it's disturbing how nigh on identical the AI behaves in each game. The same insane rubber banding with the AI varying it's lap time by up to 15s a lap just to fake excitement. And the same devotion to a lost racing line with the AI cars happily pit manoeuvring you if you have made the foolish mistake of being in front and on the racing line.

I agree with this and the only time I have ever been Spun off by the AI has been in the Nascar races.
