I'm A GTR fanatic and I'll wear whatever the hell I want to. Even if I don't own a GTR (yet). I have posters, owners manuals, repair manuals, models, hats, shirts etc. How does liking a car and wearing a watch make me an asshole?

Fenrir51: Um, ok...:odd: Who the hell is going to use a 1000 HP car as a daily driver? Not very many people. Actually reliability is pretty good, the N1 engine is almost indestructable, HKS ran a test with full titanium internals and ran the sucker up to 60 PSI of boost proving that it can handle way more pressure than any daily driver, and even the 1360 HP veilside GTR only runs like 32 PSI. Hvve you heard of the RH9 club? Its a club in japan for street legal GTR's running under 10 seconds in the 1/4. You should learn more about it.

Also I still havent heard any facts to back up the **** you talk about the car being overated, why? Beacuse thats all it is, just talk from people who have no idea what the car can do because all of your experience comes from a video game. Don't trash it till you have experienced it.

 Any links to this.

Vince told me about it I'll have to ask him, as far as I know it wasn't one of HKS's project cars, It was just an internal test to see how much boost they run on the GTR and nothing more. I think they got up to like 62 before the titanium con rod broke.

you've experienced it? you've driven a gtr?
thought so
big talk from a guy that just reads about it,
although HE HIMSELF has never owned one, or driven one.
its like saying youve been to war cuz u read all the tom clancy, & a ton of war books.

Oh the irony!

I was not talking about it being a daily driver, you missed the point! Notice how they ran that test with full titanium internals, i was talking about stock and even said it.

I've driven an R34 skyline GT25 t, the R34 GTR Mspec is coming back from the shop on march 25th after that I get to drive that for helping the owner find parts for it. So I have driven a skyline, not a GTR yet but still driven one and I still like it.

what the hell are you talking about? Do you want to know about reliability on a 1000 HP GTR or on a stock GTR? you mentioned both in you post. Please translate your post because I dont understand it.

sure you may be able to get 1000hp no stock this and that but how long will it last? Not long. How much will it cost to get there? Too much.

Yes, I am. Now which was it?

I think hes talking about how reliable will it be running 1000hp on stock internal. 1000hp on stock internal isnt going to be that reliable on any car. 800hp on stock internal would be fine, alot of people who have GT-R's runs around 800 on stock internal and seems to have great reliabilty. Its not going to be rare to find a 800hp+/- on stock internal. 1000hp is alittle too much, im sure with stock internal its not going to last long. With a boost controller, you decide how much boost you want to run, on daily driving you dont want 1000hp... around 600 would be good. On track you can have as much power as you want.

Im sorry if i didnt get your question right either, its kinda hard the way Fenrir51 said it.

Personally on the street I wouldn't hit more than 600, at 800 you need avgas/race feul or something to prevent detonation.

Exactly... thats why i said 600 would be good. Hell 500 is good enough for me. The more power the more gas it eats up.

Remove all the restrictions nissan put on it and get some bigger turbos and you'll have your 600 :trouble:

Yeah... take the restriction off and add a pc chip they say youll get around 450hp thats pretty amazing.

even if you had a 800hp street car, you would never use the whole 800hp on the street. the engine might have the potential but you wouldnt tune it to 800 lower the boost and tune it to 5-600hp would be better for street. plus i know of a guy that was pruducing 350RWKW (roughly 590hp at the flywheel) out of this RB25DET and it was undrivable (well you can but its hard) on the street because his setup, the thing went from something like 80RWKW's to 200RWKW in 1000 rpm and in 2000rpm it would almost be at 350RWKW's.

just think
at 5000rpm your @ 80RWKWs
at 6000rpm your @ 200RWKWs
at 7000rpm your almost @ 350RWKW's
its all wheelspin the power curve was almost straight up

also i would be saying you safe with 800HP on stock internals, i also know a guy with a R33 GTR that cracked his block at 415RWKW's which is roughly 700hp

There was a problem with some of the blocks, they have a design flaw that causes them to crack between the #3 and #4 cylinder. The better N1 blocks fix that :)

yeah, but you have to get a N1 block, even then i wouldnt trust 800HP (for a long period of time) on a standard N1 bottom end

Sorry for being not accurate. i was talking about VIPERGTSR01 friend.

oh, yeah it is a great car
he has two of them a GTR road and Race (drag), his road version is currently not doing anything because the cracked block, so hes concentrating on the race
