Thanks man. I know I'm lucky, but also got a lot of flack the last 2 years so this really puts again a bit of balance into the equation :D

And you saw, 6 speed manual, no flappy DSG (which is good, faster and has a gear more) but I just love a stick and extra pedal.

Thanks, yeah it is fun to drive. Black paint is awesome. Still waiting on the sun though as in sun it is purpleish which is gorgeous.

Breaking the engine in is nearly done. Oil already changed, but still not pushing it hard for an other 1000km. But I now occassionally give it 100% throttle. Max 5k. Awesome.

If only the allowed limit was higher

A few family shots:

In the works, between all the customers car and our homologation... it's a bitch. That's why I directly ordered tuning parts on it for homologation, otherwise I would have to go through this **** 2 times. Should come somewhen in summer... and there are other problems... but nothing to worry about. I had a nice talk with the importer 👍 It's a nice guy and very attention detailed (which sometimes delays too  ).

So here the 3rd and final batch

I'm loving these photos! It really is a good looking car, and the colour is great.

I am not jelly. ;)

But it would be a fantastic car to have, good to see someone enthralled with their cars. Nice pics man. 👍

Makes me want to do really close up shots, but then you may see what time has done to my car....

Wow.. that.. is...

By the way, have you received the first invoice about my new pair of pants that you made me soil with that Skyline? I'm afraid another one is on your way for the TT.

Bought massive detailing products:
r10bwx.jpg

Started with HPWash, foamed, HPW, Foamed, HPW, Handwash, dryed (the Orange Towel is awesome, 1&1/2 towel for the entire car).
Started claying the bonnet, and saw that the flys are incrusted in the clear coat.
:(
Start using a mild polish, better but still some marks.

Now I will pass the 2 next days, polishing the damn flys out.

Then Seal. Wax. And detailer.

It will be shiny :D

I see you've got a bottle of Chemical Guys there, used it before? My brother bought a few of their items, he's also going in for another order :D

No first time I adventure into the professional products.
My thoughts from what I used so far:
Autofinesse :3.5/5
Surf Garage: 4.5/5
Chemical Guys: 4/5
Maguiars : 1/5
Orange Towel: 5/5

I'm soooo tired. Cleaned 5 hours today and 4 hours the last 2 days.

Apart from the front with the flies that have damaged the clear coat, I'm already satisfied.

As I don't have any hard polish anymore, nor a machine or 2000 sanding paper, I will wait till the next time to get them out.

Now the car has 2 coats of sealing. Tomorrow 2 coats of wax, doing the detailing and then I should be done... but for how long

Pictures of the clean car come tomorrow.

Thanks Camaroboy 👍

It does look great ;) but it better has to as otherwise that would have been 20 hours wasted

And now I know all the little kinks the paint has, so next time I have my harsher polish I will take them all out, those of the flies and those that were in from the factory, transport.

Looks great, must be nice living in a moderately cold place, I can't detail my car for more than 2 hours straight or I'll just sweat all over it and dehydrate  how I yearn of a climate controlled garage space.

Thanks guys.
Yeah mt, compared to you it's cold here but we had over 30° C for 2 weeks now. Awesome, but the garage is build against a hill so it's always around 15-17° in there, in winter around 10°, sounds good but problem is it also has a lot of humidity :(

So already a week gone, dry washed the car inbetween ( mainly just the flies), today I HPwashed it, foamed it twice, and than a nice hand wash.

This is the result:

yeah even sealed the engine bay, .... like a baws

This weekend I get around high pressure sanding the rear bumper from the S3, the missing parts or modified parts from the front are ordered, so next week or so the bumpers would be ready for a repaint, just the rest of the car now need to follow through ...

You have the wheels I want!!

Beautiful cars btw, an envious garage for sure. :)

Thanks Blackbird ;)

So I'm in holidays thus starting the S3.
Cleared up some space in the garage to easily fit 2 cars in it, now I have the place for working on the S3.

After 10 minutes of working on it I already am really pissed.

The license plate holder has completly rusted screws with no cross at all. this idiots screwed some wrecked screws in it.

The roofline is rusty, on a ******* galvanised body. How is that possible....

Now I go make some shopping (more sanding paper, pads,....).

Photos will come during a whole month with the progress.

It would be really awesome if I manage to complete the car in this month.
Then it can get painted in winter.

Front grillmount, Sideblades and rear blade will probably be laminated in carbon. Have found a guy who does awesome work in that area :D

Ready to go:

Behold of the stupidity of some garagist:

Rust in the roofline:

Completly rusted license plate screws:

20130801_0989-1_zps48430c9b.jpg

Broken Xenon headlight fix:
They broke it then screwed it so tight together that the screw and nut are busted

20130802_182632Medium_zps474015dd.jpg

Both upper points busted (one them by them, the other me as they put a completly rusted screw in there (too) as you can see rust marks on the pastic)

Broken:

20130802_193745Medium_zps8b763dbd.jpg

Broken and slightly broken (seriously how much does this cost to replace if you screw up...)

The whole body has 1mm of paint on it (seriously 7-900um was the max I think) on the sides it's patchy so I came down to the metal thus coating it.
20130802_193728Medium_zps0498c9d2.jpg

Here I don't even know, it seems to me as they patched up a part, there is clear coat between the main coat on the flare-light part... mind blown

Good luck mate 👍 Keep us updated on how the repair goes, I think we are all interested in seeing it come back to life in a fit state of health 👍.
