Hello all, I'm just letting you all know about a new sim racing league and the first gt300 series of the league. :)
If anyone here is interested in a GT300 series on GT5 please feel free to sign up here, all info for the series is below, it would be nice to see plenty of good clean racers in the series. Also a Le mans series for iracing will be beginning sometime late august or early september for anyone who's interested in that also. ;)

I will keep this thread updated for each race also so everyone doesn't have to go back and to between sites, all thats required is to register for the series there, we can still use this thread to keep updated. ;)

To sign up for the series you can either follow the "click here to register for this series" link or post here your PSN ID and the car you will use.

You will need to add me on PSN (Joey975) to join the races in my lounge.

Qualifying: 6:45 PM BST / 5:45 PM UTC for 15 minutes
Race Time & Date:31st August at 7 PM BST / 6 PM UTC for approx 60 minutes

Rules:

Tuning Mods:
• Rigidity Improvement: Allowed
• Every other part is Disallowed, your car must be stock unless stated otherwise in the car list.

A pit stop is mandatory, you must make at least 1 stop per race.

On-Track Conduct:
• No corner cutting, you must keep at least 2 wheels within the track.
• Drive sensibly and give other cars around you just enough room to maneuver.
• If you’re being lapped you must allow the lapping car to pass you, if you’re on a straight hold your line and allow them to go round you, you don’t need to slow down, if they didn’t pass you on the straight then take the next turn wide allowing them to pass on the inside line.
• No dangerous/reckless driving e.g. driving the wrong way or ramming other drivers etc.
• When exiting the pits, stay within the pit lane exit lines.

Penalties:
The replays will be reviewed after each race, if anyone is caught breaking any of the rules they could receive a time penalty for each rule broken or even disqualification.
Up to 25 Second Penalty: Reckless driving, Causing multiple incidents.
Disqualification: Not pitting, Continuous reckless driving.

Regulation Settings:
Tyres: Racing Hard
Skid Recovery Force: Off
Active Steering: Off
ASM: Off
Driving Line: Off
Traction Control: Off
ABS: Optional

Event Settings:
Game Mode: Free Run & Race
Laps: Equivalent of approximately 1 hour of racing
Start Type: Grid Start with False Start Check
Grid Order: Fastest First
Penalties: Off (So we don’t get any cars ghosting)
Boost: Off
Grip Reduction: Real
Damage: Light

Points System:
1st: 30 2nd: 25 3rd: 20 4th: 16 5th: 14 6th: 12 7th: 10 8th: 8 9th: 6 10th: 4 11th: 2 12th: 1

There will be no pole or fastest lap points.

same for me, its bit late for me since i have to work the next morning. But when i make it. i certainly drive whit the Aspadrink car. Not sure if its any good compared whit the other cars but i just love that car.

It's going to be difficult for me to make the races from the 7th of September onwards, but we'll see.
 
I've changed the time from 9PM BST to 7PM, a lot of people I've spoke to about it have said that the time is too late for them so I'm making it a little earlier. Hopefully this will encourage people to sign up. :)

Nurburgring F1 race starting any minute now :)

I am not making 7pm BST. That is 2pm EST which I will be working. Come August 20ish. I will be home by 3pm EST aka 8pm BST.

Probably best to wait till tomorrow or Sunday to see how fast you can go.

I'm in the process of testing the 4 cars to ballance them out a bit, so far I think the mazda might end up with a BHP limit as I found it to be on average 1/2 to 1 second faster and the lexus probably engine stage 3 or a turbo as I also found that as with the gt500 lexus cars it is about 1 to 2 seconds slower depending on the track.
I'll make my final decision later on tonight or in the morning after some more testing.

Btw phil, you're signing up yes?
