Probably best to wait till tomorrow or Sunday to see how fast you can go.

I'm in the process of testing the 4 cars to ballance them out a bit, so far I think the mazda might end up with a BHP limit as I found it to be on average 1/2 to 1 second faster and the lexus probably engine stage 3 or a turbo as I also found that as with the gt500 lexus cars it is about 1 to 2 seconds slower depending on the track.
I'll make my final decision later on tonight or in the morning after some more testing.

Btw phil, you're signing up yes?

I'll be using the Subaru aswell.
 
Changed the date of the first race to the 10th August. Reason is the cars need a little more testing to get them fully ballanced out and also to let some more people sign up before the season starts. ;)

I never thought of that actually but now that you mentioned it, it might be a good idea plus it would help me see where the lexus is in a race to the other cars.

Yeah we'll do a pre-season test race tomorrow :) 6:45pm BST / 5:45pm GMT start time, room will be open from about 2 hours before for practice.

Any suggestions for the track? Should be one from the race calendar ;)

You can only use one of the 4 premium gt300 cars. ;)
If you're signing up please provide your PSN and one of the available cars (botton of the OP post) please. :)

Edit: Decided on Fuji Speedway F for the pre-season test race.

I don't think there will be a power limit on the RX7 now but the Lexus will get a power increase before the season officially starts next week and maybe the subaru but I'm still uncertain about it for the subaru yet.

The Lexus Weds Sport IS350 will be allowed to use Engine Stage 3 limited to 352 bhp, all other car must still be stock.

This still might change after the pre-season race tonight, it depends how it goes really.
 
Put me down for Arta. Always liked it from the beginning.

Although i have no idea how it compares to other cars. The Lexus is so sexy though.
I'll be there for tonight's pre-season race. Been playing a lot of iRacing lately. I'm in love.
 
Done, the Arta handles quite well but can be a bit twitchy sometimes just like the NSX. :)

Kyaw you gotta get the skippy now even though you only just got iRacing, it's just so fun to drive especially in the Club England skippy championship on Monday nights. ;)

Did two races on LRP with the MX-5 last night. I finished 8th first time and DNF the last one. Crashed into the barrier out of the uphill turn.

Nice race tonight, had a few mishaps here and there with oversteer but it was still a good race. :)

Congrats winning Biffy.

Next week the season officially starts, I think I'll leave the bhp limit for the Lexus as it is for this season, it seemed to be pretty much even from my point of view. ;)

So yeah, same time again next week at 5:45pm BST or 6:45pm UTC/GMT for Suzuka. :)

Edit: Arkano, smiggy, where were you both today? :(
 
Good race all but somehow boring on that track which is usually one of my faves.

If I didn't know that track so well the subaru would be last I'm sure!

Lexus was too fast, even when me and maxi were slipstreaming each other and getting 44.2's he was pulling away?

I would have made it closer to the front if I wasnt at 328hp to start and a bit squirrely in some corners to lose the draft


but yeah my fastest lap was in the race at 1:44.8 and a couple of your qually times were under 1:44.5, HOW?? lol

In terms of the Lexus, I have to admit I did notice it pulling away at times, however that could of been due to the exit of the last corner, as I always went wide to get the best speed out of the corner, and I've noticed similar situations happen in another series, WSGTC. If you can get a very good exit out of that corner, you can reduce the effects of people drafting behind you for the first half of the straight. I also noticed that when racing together with Max and Phil, with no draft there was almost no difference in speed, although this is just how I saw things. Can't wait for the season start 👍

I managed a 1:43.7 at my fastest. This was with less than half fuel though.
