That's not all true. When you get it back down to controllable speeds, 60 - 80 mph, it'll drive fairly well. It's just that when you hit a strait and punch the accelerator, somehow it doesn't feel right dropping your speed by 80% to make a corner. If you compare that to a Formula 1 car (that tops out much slower) it can corner at probably 25% less than full speed.

I loved the way that at 480kmh in the Escudo, when you stand on the brakes, nothing happens for a while (as the car 'slows' to 240kmh).

you can turn only IF- and ill say it again ONLY IF~!!!! you go about the same speed as other cars and you tune the Suspension and the Camber Angles

Use stock motor, and high down force, with superslicks you should do fine and may be set the traction control up a notch or 2 depending on how confident you are.

No setups I'm afraid. Only a complaint.

The GT2 Escudo was kicking but now the Escudo on GT3 is crap. I have tried in vain to get the bloody thing to turn without going off the track/into a wall.

My advise, stick with GT-One or similar car, they turn, but for fun, nothing beats the Escudo (In a strait line!)

It's nothing more than a gimmic or a 'cheat' car like the F1's. What's the point of a Pike's Peak racer when there's no Pike's Peak course? :shakehead What I don't get is that if you watch movies of the real Escudo going up Pike's Peak you see that it turns, slides and four wheel drifts very well. If it didn't, the driver's would be dead by now. How come PD managed to produce this awful piece of cr@p?! :(

I think PD decided that the GT2 version of the car was OTT as it killed every other car on the game. The GT3 car has been given the Crappola treatment so you/I would go for a 'better' car such as the GT-One.

Naughty PD!!!

About 3 weeks ago, I was able to take the Escudo to victory against a tuned up 787B, R390, and GT-One at Tokyo R246 in an Arcade Race on Pro Difficulty using a heavily tweaked set-up to get the car to handle. Unfortunately, I can't give you the set-up that I used because right now my PS2 is unavailable at the moment. (I don't remember it by heart, I just know I tweaked it to where most of the weight and power was in the back) I'm guessing PD decided to have the Escudo handle so terribly in stock form to keep beginners from using the Escudo to pick up easy wins over the competition, which was a major gripe for veterans in GT2.
