I'm not being notified about thread activity

Take for example the Bertone VGT thread I had replied to and tracked a few hours ago.
I come back to it now, wondering why no activity happened, then I find out a whole page was posted under my nose!

You miss one alert from a thread and you won't receive any more alerts from that thread until you check it again.

To be honest, the system can get rather annoying, especially when your alert notification gets huge and you miss one alert to check.

It's not really a good way to keep track of unread threads; that's what this page is for.

Ok, though sometimes when a notification is missed. It'll randomly pop up as an alert despite it being missed. Is this intentional?

Happens to me when someone tags me

Sometimes for me, it isn't a tag. Like a awhile back, I got a notification from the Event Creator thread besides the fact I left it there and there have been numerous of other post when I went to check the alert.
