Hopefully specializing in lightweight cars [think under 1000kgs]
Never done it before. Anyone got any thoughts on the matter?
Also don't have any names for it as of yet.

Why not just go for lightweight to medium weight cars? also good luck with your garage

I'm not too sure. I could do it that way if I needed to, there are some decent 1500kg'ers, but I mainly want to tune some lightweight cars and show what they can do when tuned right.
Thanks man, I'll probably need it.

Sweet, I'll let you know if I do. I'll probably try to just keep it strictly grip racing, but I'll have some drift tunes for certain cars.

I got alot of cars that are grip. I got about 4 RSR RX-7's that are bone stock so if you make a tune or two for that model I have some stockers

Ifound one in my garage, I'll start tuning it right now. Might have to wait till tomorrow to see any results on it though. Any preferences on it? Cornering, Speed, Tires, etc.?

Ahh.. fresh blood to this never-ending battlefield between GTP tuners.. Good luck, young man. you'd better find allies or do some really unique cars, not to mention advertising your carage if and when you get it rolling..

Ha.
You only wish.
The Tuner Garages thread I started had tuner garages 6 months before MFT was formed. That is to say, MFT's thread was posted on July 7, 2007 and the Tuner Garages thread was posted in January of the same year.
That means there are a handful of people who were 6 months ahead of you.
Keep that in mind before you make the claim again. ;) :sly:

None the less, I suggest the advice given by leo be taken into account. 👍

To be honest I think he thought more of the "new genre" of garages, ie. the ones that have one garage in one thread and that's actually something we pioneered, Duck's old setup lot was indeed more of a setup lot than a garage thread. The Tuner Garages is free for all and thus different in style from these new ones.

About finding allies there's one thing to be remembered, and that's consistency. it doesn't look too good when you start a garage, get in everybody even half willing to participate, then find out that a couple of them have little to no interest, get rid of them, find new ones... and as a result you'll have a very mixed pile of setups from half a dozen people. At the moment there's (to my knowledge) exactly one "big" - read: more than a single tuner - garage that still has the very same guys in it who began it.

Allies? How so? Who would I need to have an alliance with?

Don't you worry, I will have plenty of unique cars. I might even post my drag beetle setup just for fun. Can anyone say 13.104 seconds in a beetle? BTW thats my setup that I created, not the one that RVV motorworks is supposed to be making. I just wanna see if anyone can do it better. :sly:

Is that a CHALLENGE? :sly:

Time for a Beetle RSi... Don't feel like driving the Cup Cars. Then I'll get the proper oldschool Beetle and see what I can do.

Well it sure could be a challenge.
I used to love the RSi in Midtown Madness 2.
I personally think the cup cars suck, I tried driving one in the VW manufacturers race and it was horribly slow and didn't like to turn. I'll be home shortly to post my RX-7 RS-R '97 specs for DKX.
Edit: AFTER, I take a shower, wash my clothes and do a quick shave of my face. Gonna be going somewhere tonight and I wanna look good.

That's how I roll.

Well, thats awful nice of you. I started this one to see if anyone would be interesting the type of tuning I was going to be doing. And from the looks of it, I have interest. So i started my Garage last night and put my first tune in it. If you tried looking at it, maybe you'd notice I made progress on it. Don't try and lump me in with someone who has horrible grammar in each post and has started three garages in a day with no success..

 Yes the horrible grammar. But this thread only had all of less than 20 replys, couldn't you just have turned your "intererest test thread" into your actual garage? Meh, live and let live, have a nice day.:)

If I had done that, I would have had a bunch of random replies that wouldn't make sense when I wiped it. I had thought of doing that though. But decided against it. It was better to start off clean.
