Im tired of these unnecessary downgrades.

I'm tired of all these mini mods who think we shouldn't have threads like this, or this shouldn't be here, or it should be in the one thread.

This thread does not break any rules. We have no requirement for all issues to be in one massive thread.

If you don't like the content of a thread, then we are not forcing anyone to read it and you do not have to comment.
Yeah? Well, I'm tired of posts that start with the phrase "I'm tired of..."

I think people are more annoyed when someone posts a thread and any response that isn't agreement, regardless how well-intentioned or informative, is brushed aside, ignored, or told "pay attention to detail".

Yeah he can post and complain about he wants but this won't be the first time he's rejected all explanations or arguments against what's annoyed him...

It's a bug, pause the game and these poor textures goes away.

I suppose another maintenance time will be due soon to fix this.
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 still have this bug since the game release engine cover and few other car elements are low resolution but they are ok when you pause the game still don't fixed

Even worse the Veyron 16.4 (2013 model) dosen't actually exist .

Sure. Basically all you had to do was apply the brakes just slightly enough to get the ABS icon to flash, but not enough to have any braking power applied. When ABS was activated, for one reason or another the car had much better grip & top speed, and you were untouchable really.
That sounds so bizarre, i can't even picture how it would work... And it took them a year to fix what seems to such an impactful bug?! Damn PD has a serious communication issue...

Thanks for the explanation...

Then I would urge you to re-read the last line in my previous post and remind you that you should be playing the ball, not the man.

BMW M3 Coupe '07 still has that LOD bug where the rear wheel arches are notably low-poly while the front wheel arches are perfectly rounded, regardless if it's in-game or in photomode. I posted about this in the bug thread a while back when the car first released in December 2018. I kinda don't expect PD to even see these posts on the board, and if they do, there's no knowing if it's even a dev member that works on these types of issues, or how much of a priority an LOD bug would be for them given they're also most likely working on GT7 in addition to new GTS content.

I’m gonna make more GIFs if it can help.
What car want you see? There is the Porsche and the Toyota FT-1. Are there more?
Lexus rcf, Srt tomahawk, Abarth 500, Bugatti veyron, Ferrari f50, Mini clubman vision gran turismo and Toyota 2000gt.

Maybe they'll fix that for GT7.

It is a LOD/tesselation bug. Give it a few seconds or restart the game. Since this kind were not going to fixed itself, I hope PD can reproduce the bug and fix it.

Pausing the game tends to give the game additional chance to 'fixing' the missing details because the game knows the car were in static position and no new frames rendered.

My first thought when I looked at the pic above was wow, great graphics!
But then I do come from an age when this was considered cutting edge:

Just look at the detail on those trees!

I think it’s intentional. Because when you pause the game you are looking at details you can’t see in motion and PD decided to crank up the tessellation and LOD at this particular moment.

But while in-game, there seems to be a problem with the tessellation one step to low on certain cars. Every game do this to optimize game performance on an objects appearing far away from the camera, but in GT:S it’s on the car you drive. (A small percentage of cars)

No matter how much seconds you give to the game to load or how many times you restart it, it’s always the same result. I hope they will fix it for the next update!

Restarting the game or Giving few seconds does not fixes anything. If you manage to fix it feel free to show us some screenshots.

By definition the downgrades are necessary because the system can only render the highest possible detail when the model is stationary. Like, some might not be pleased with the result but it's done to improve performance. Would you rather have dropped frames while driving?

I dont think game will go below 60 fps if they increase the lod of Porsche. Other porsches in game look fantastic and we dont have any frame problems while driving them.

If I have to rob peter to pay paul, I'd rather have compelling gameplay.
Bring me your finest dynamic time and weather! Graphics be damned!

Right, in this particular case of the one Porsche, the LOD scaling is probably harsher than necessary. But I was more taking issue with the title of this thread, cause the downgrades are very much necessary by and large.
