"If you crash into a wall, the screen will shake furiously to simulate the impact – we thought it was a very cool feature. "

where did you find that anyway??

Seems kinda dull to me to be honoust

I agree.... if it was violent screen shaking and the Dual Shock controller freaks out, that would be a bit distracting. Then again, I think we're talking about big hits to the walls, and I wouldn't expect to bounce off and keep the speed up. I dunno, I guess I'd have to experience it to make a judgement.

True

What would be even cooler is in a really big accident, in 1st person view, the screen cracks simulating the broken windshield. ok maybe not...lol

Looked a bit better when you thought of it didn't it?

Shakey screen, hey. PD is trying new a different things for this title. I'm all for it. I'll draw the line at airbag deployment from my DS2.

Why are you guys moaning about losing time through it? surely in the real world if you smack your car into a wall you can lose a lot more than a couple of seconds!

I like the idea, anything that gives a disadvantage to those 'barrier-huggers' out there.

:)

NOT GOOD.

Well, big impacts are pretty disorienting. My first reaction is that this might be pretty cool - but then, I'm a bit of a fan of a massive crash in qualifying.

The fragment of the in listed bellow:

On behalf of the team, Polyphony's president stated that more detail has been placed on the vehicles and heightening the sense of realism. Drivers were motion-captures for in-car animations. There's also a new effect called "impact blur" that gives the impression you're dizzy whenever impact is made with the wall. It's semi-campy, but does the job making hitting the wall less uneventful. Don't hit the walls. Effects aside, the vehicles look much better than those we saw in GT3, they shine and reflect almost like real cars would. Still, no damage, sorry.

well i mean what if you barely scrape a wall and the screen freaks out on you? i mean i dont go flying into walls but i clip them sometimes.
