WHat the hell did they do to that blue NSX?

They added a lot of tupperware and a hood scope for good measure... To top it all off they added a huge spatula for downforce :sly: The only thing I like about that NSX is the color....

Yea, I saw it on Saturday. I've always liked it, although I may be biased :D. Most cars with ground effects for racing, especially Super Gt will look cool, and the fact it's a Leaf is even cooler.

Yeah, my friend and I are planning a trip to DFW next month for the real WekFest! Can't wait!:D Yeah the turnout was great! Don't be fooled by that panoramic shot though. The meet took place at a Nissan Dealership behind the bodyshop, so the back few rows are just a bunch of wrecked Nissans.
As long as cars like that show up & not some of the half-ass'd ones that usually turn up at import events here.

And that information is supposed to change my opinion about its looks because...?
It's not, I'm just pretty sure you didn't think that it was OEM, and rather a tasteless mod or something.

No, I can't prove that's what you thought, but meh.

We had our share of rice try to enter the meet. But the Mayday Garage people were guarding the entrance, letting good cars in and keeping the bad ones out. So it's all good!:D

Show cars aren't my thing, but this car is beautiful.

Nice car, but here's what I don't like. The video is fairly well done from purely a production values standpoint (I say pretty because in some ways it's not) but there is almost no artistic merit in it. He is just doing panning shots of a car in some driveway. The light isn't any good, it isn't being remotely poetic (maybe where he is showing the car leaving the driveway) and the shots are repetitive, generic, and don't really tell me anything about the car other than 'here it is.' But people love it all the same because it 'looks cool.' Sorry, I am unimpressed. Here are a few I think are pretty good. They are probably reposts:

So those are both partial narratives, but still. If you're gonna give us a 240, baby give us a 240! Show it doing something!

I posted it because of the car in the video, not because of the video.

Regardless, for a video that someone made of a car parked in their driveway, it's very well done. I don't think it was a halfassed attempt at making a cool video without proper planning, and rather a very good video of something as simple as a car sitting in a driveway. Also, there's no dubstep.

^I will never like the polished lip and black spokes look. No matter what wheel or car.

Also, the NSX video was very nicely done but, personally, I don't think it went right to the point. Too many other things that made me impatient to want to see a relatively stock NSX on CE28Ns. Then I was disappointed when they went to the Nurburgring to shoot some clever and shaky shots to make the car appear to be going faster than what it really was. It was just allot done for what the car actually was and did which, in a way, gives it a cheesy feel. At least to me. I mean, even the Senna audio clips...I understand it was to add to the whole Honda-Senna relationship thing but I could have swallowed the show with a bit more ease if he had at least driven the car properly quick.

Ignore my post about the Swift GTi, quick Wiki search answered my question.

Edit: Yes, I know it's fake. And yes, I know it's huge. But it's awesome.

I liked that 240 better on TE37s...

It never hit me that it was the same car until I noticed the plates just now. I'd have to agree though, it was better on TE-37s. I'm not a fan of the black and polished look either, but the overall car was clean enough that the overall package was still very nice.

That rx8 does look good. There is an RX8 sans drivetrain at work that I know for a fact I could get for almost nothing... Some idiot took it in trade needing a starter and it turned out the engine was toasted. A new engine from mazda is only $3500... If only the car were not an automatic I could have an running driving RX8 for just over $5000.
