Theres the huge wing, the head lights, the hood scoop. I really must disagree with you on this one. It looks nothing like any of the Accents I've ever seen.

You have the two mixed up there Famine.
I can see where your coming from, but I don't think I would mistake one for the other. I sometimes mix Hyundai Accents (2003 I believe) rears with Protoges.

I love the lancer to death, evo VI is one of my all time favorite cars. But the fact that they introduced the Evo VIII pushed me away from lancers. The new STi is a great car, not only that the 22B dominates all which is AWD.

Oddly, whilst browsing I noticed that the rears are frighteningly similar too - and the Accent came out first... Subaru using Hyundai for design cues? That'd be like... Jaguar using Ford's parts bin for switchgear. Or something.

The STi still doesn't beat the Evo in "straight line". As for 1/4 miles the Evo has a couple tenths on the STi. Every magizine article ever published comparing the two, such as the currant issue of Import Tuner and a few months ago Sport Compact Car compared the Evo up to many sports cars. The Evo always comes out on top.

here's my idea...take the best elements of the evo and the sti and slap them together to make a damn good car .

otherwise, i like the more aggressive look of the evo. performance wise, they're more or less the same, with the evo being slightly higher

The US version Subaru WRX STi and the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII, the STi comes on top with straight line preformance. The STi does the quarter-mile in 13.1 seconds, and I've seen the Evo times as low as 13.3 seconds. Every magazine rated the Evo as funner to drive, by a slight margin.

Because of the way Subaru unveiled the STI, Mitsubishi didn't have an immediate come back. In retaliation, Mitsubishi has come up with a factory options package called the Vishnu, and propels the already fast Evo into the sub 12 sec. 1/4 mi. This package is offered through Mitsubishi for about $4200 on top of MSRP.

the power, design, and off road driveability of the car is amazing.
its smaller too, the lancer EVO5 is a huge 4 door sedan, thats one of my biggest problems with the car...

Yes, the Lancers generally have more power (in real life- in the game, they are both 276), but are generally less common. You see more Imprezas on the road than Lancers. Imprezas are more able to be used on off-road trails, while Lancer Evolutions are geared for road use. Rally tune, anyone?

Thats a tough choice... but i'm gonna have to go w/ Lancer. I dont know why i ever thought the evo 7 was ugly compared to its predecessors, but after seeing it upclose I think its a beautiful car oo so sexy....

it's not a battle of looks. stock for stock 22B does run with the GSR Lancers in the game. but once you talk fully modded EVO 6&7 RSs, they own WRX hands down. on taramac of course. on rally courses the difference between the two is immaterial.

Edit: I was being sarcastic, but after a long hard look at the two, you are right. Although one is a 4-door and has a hood scoop, the body shape and window shapes are generally the same... wierd.
