There's a link in the first post of this thread that tells you what time the race will start in your timezone. You messaged me 4 minutes before race start, asking when the race was.

GT5 doesn't have an invite system, you have to join the rooms manually through the community tab, selecting the particular player, and then clicking on the orange circle.

On the Gt-Life main menu page, go to "community" on the left. Then go to GP-Cian or Arkano6 in your friendlist. Then There are some Icons like remote racing. but now go to the "lounge" of Arkano/GpCian. if there is nobody, press on the tiny orange icon, next to the lounge button. using that u will Join the league.


what car did Phil use?

Phil was using the Calonsic Impul GT-R and not the Yellowhat. Why?

I thought he posted some pages back about changing a car or something. becaus he is faster in those other cars. Not on SSR7 i suppose :sly:

lol yeah i know i was sitting there refreshing both of the peoples names that i got. no yellow dot, unable to join. i think the host is supose to rake responsibility and make sure everyone is inside before the race starts. you seem not to care. good luck

Messaging me 4 minutes before the race is bad form on your part. It's my responsibility to make sure everyone is in the room with at least 10-minutes until the race starts. It's your responsibility to know when the qualy & race is starting, and to message the appropriate people if any problems occur. 4-minutes before race start, is not an appropriate time to message me.
 
there was no problem, the problem is miss communication. i am on the dark as far as if the race is even gonna to down. you told me to add you, the time of the race. i was online for 2 hours prior did u massage me once and said hey u coming? no . go look at your massaged probably 40 min befits that i ask u if you want to practice. and dude don't be a Dick you could have said you miss the race. 4 min to me means a room is getting formed soon. i waited 40min doing nothing but refreshing the page.

I did post a few pages back asking if anyone minded, I prefer the better turn in with Calsonic/Xanavi and went with Calsonic as no one is using one and it adds more variety.

It was my fault I was so bad for not practicing again but also there isn't much I could have done as my biggest problem is not knowing how to tune cars. I have looked at explinations but they are confusing and contridictory, then add the fact that in GT5 it doesn't seem to do what the description says and the rumours that its backwards and you see what I'm up against.

I had everything standard apart from RH -2, Camber 1.2f 0.5r and rear toe -0.10 and it was dreadful.

I definately want my Arta or Raybrigg NSX next season, (or better still a GT300 Championship) they are quick virtually standard.

Why couldn't we use standards again, was it cos of replays because you can't see the difference on a Youtube vid anyway?

Oh, WTF were a lot of you doing using n00b line, hope thats banned next season? 👎

Don't worry, I am in the same boat. I can't tune either. however the last 3 races i am starting to know the car. My qualy-laps are decent and now for the first time i was consistent in the race. But still i am still a rookie at tuning, and need a half day or more to find something decent, if i find it.
My goal in a race is to be not on the last place. for now. I hope i will fight for higher points in the future.

I was using it because I had ZERO practice, all I had was like 3.5 hours of practice. And considering the GT-R has almost an entire second advantage over the NSX, I took what I could get. Don't worry though, I wont be using it for the last races, I actually know those without the line too. Remember, the 'noob line' is being banned for next season.

Oh, and make sure you use the Yellowhat next week :p

We can't use standards because they're so different from the premiums, and they look balls :sly:

I always thought the Takata, Arta & Raybrig were all the same. I'm considering changing to a Calsonic GT-R next season, or I might stick with my NSX. It'll all depend on how these last 3 races turn out.

Looks like I've got some serious work to do to catch back up to GP. At least I like the last 3 tracks :)

Congrats to Maxi for his best finish of the season (although unlucky at the end), and for Erik for equaling his best finish! GP got pole this weekend, but lost out on fastest lap by 1 tenth of a second to Zzxxz.

Yup. Make sure that when you load up the replay theatre in GT5 that you click on 'inport save file' or something like that, then import the replay and watch to your hearts content :)

for some reason it won't. i extrackt the file to memory stick, go to import but can't find anything...?

even that don't work. i am going to "video" USB disc device and the ps3 don't reconise the files...

You have to go to "Saved Data Utility" and copy the replay from there like how you would with a game save. ;)
 
Signups are now closed. We're 3 races from the end, no one joining now has any hope of getting anywhere, and they'll just ruin other peoples chances of getting points.

Should be up sometime tonight or tomorrow morning, I'm not at my house at the moment so I can't make it just yet until later on.

It will probably be a boring video though, I don't remember much overtaking or anything last race.

Make sure you follow me for the last 2-3 laps, I think me catching Maxi is just about the only interesting thing that happens towards the end of the race :lol:

After the crashing at the start of lap 2, it was. I don't think it will be in the vid as it was after I crossed the line.
EDIT: Roy's points are wrong, 40+40+30+2+1 = 113, not 115

The replays keep on going until the person in last place crosses the line or the 180 seconds is up.

I'll edit Roy's points now, not sure how I got that wrong. To be honest, I'd like to drop Roy for the rest of the season after he decided not to turn up to SSR5.

well my first stint was't that boring at all. I don't remember in wich order but
i started good. Phil did suprise me, a little tap made me go wide in the turn after the tunnel. i got him back on the straight, Arkano/GP/Netherdragon all got behind me for som reasons/mistakes but all they managed to take there place back. I got hit by Erik and some laps later he did overtake me on a clean way. i almost killed zzxzz or Gp(don't remember) in the tunnel i was late on the brakes. It all happent in the first 10 laps. after that i did't see to much cars. nevertheless thats the time i started to drive better and better. 30 decent laps only to lose a position in the last corner :)




Any reference times on the Fuji/Fiji track??
 
Ye had some fun chasing you Maxitsu, Sorry about the bump, but you turned a bit more or earlier than I thought you would :)

What was funny was that the sleep stream almost drag me with you into the wall in the tunnel a few laps. You had way to high speed and went to the wall. The sleep stream made it hard not to follow. Was fun and I learned a few things about down force or lack of it when being in sleep stream :) I knew it would happen, but how powerful it was.. good experience :)

After a few laps I learned and then took advantage of your mistakes in this corner. Good race Maxi, to bad about your last corner.

I'm at 1:31.213 (best)

But I saw phil do a 1:30.something.. Guess I need to work harder..
