Whats the differences on the xanavi/calsonic and the yellowhat?

The xanavi also felt like you describe, but after some help from GP it felt better, it was slower than my setup for me, but the car felt better and I did better laps when I passed 7-8 laps so I decided to go with that instead of a car that was fast for 4-6 laps then much slower.

They all handle slightly differently, with the Xanavi regarded as best and Advan Clarion worst of the GT-Rs.

That was new to me, I could understand that the Woodone Advan Clarion was slightly different, because it's on Yokohama tyres and not Bridgestone. Other than that, they should be similar. And To be honest I haven't noticed this myself, been driving them all.

What times have people been getting so far, my best is a 1.17.2

I got 1:18.203 as best so far. And I only made 6th gear longer than on Monaco on the car. Rest is as it was on Monaco

Edit: Just tried again. tuned the suspension just a bit and the time dropped to 1:17.7, guess we see 1:15 from you know who

Are you sure they all handle different?
I can't say I've noticed that but I have noticed that the Advan is slower in top speed compared to the yellowhat with the same gearing which is to be expected anyway because it has the same weight but less bhp.
I always thought the only GTR's that were different are the Advan and the Motul and all the others are the same?.

My Advan have 518bhp, same as my Xanavi. They also have the same amount of torque. You do need to break it in

I think I've already broken it in, it has a quite a few miles on it anyway. How many miles before the Advan gets fully broken in? Maybe mine is at the point of needing an oil change, I haven't done that on it yet.

You got a lot more screen time this race. Oh and Roys lag was in the video lol, even got it where he is stopped at the casino with everyone driving into him.

I noticed my fan worked really hard lately, so I opened the box, cleaned it and reassembled it. After that I use the vacuum cleaner at the holes rear/front and on the side. It's the old ps3 not the slim. And it's more silent now. But I know a few people getting their "old" ps3 destroyed by heat so I actually bought a backup ps3.. yeah I'm sick. But I plan to build a racing/hobby room and I need a ps3 in my cinema too. So I can watch all those mkv files I have And I love to see my girlfriend playing tony hawk. that's just priceless

I don't know how your PS3 hasn't blown up, its on 24hrs a day everyday

I don't know how to decribe it, but the GT-R's all handle different in slight ways, all cars are probably given a grip, power aero etc. number out of 100 in the code and while car 1 might be 85 and car 2 87 on grip but reversed car1 87 and car 2 85 on aero or something if you get what I mean, which add up to same numbers overall but get there slightly different.

The Z is probably best of all but from watching zzxxz on replays the massive torque kills tyres in long races.

Same with NSX, Raybrig and Takata are the best.

Lexus, Petronas is best.

It does actually seem like the one farthest to the right in the dealership is best now I think about it - and alphabetically - zzxxz should start a JGTC team lol

If that's the case you are actually going down, since the yellowhat is the last GT-R if you count from the left. Motul-Clarion-Calsonic-Xanavi-Yellowhat- then the z.

The nismo z is 1 level higher than the gt-r's I think, hence it being farthest to the right.

Yeah I noticed after I posted and forgot to edit.

They may be same cars but the teams will all have different set ups and tweaks but polyphony seem to have put their settings as default so they all look the same at ride height 0 etc.

As I said it's hard to explain but there is definately a slight difference imo and the differences will suit one person over another, so I might like the way a certain car behaves and you prefer the other!

I plan on racing this weekend, did the re-flow trick on my PS3 with a heat gun and its resurrected the old black beast . No idea how long it will last but if I can get a couple of months out of it I will be ecstatic, trying to hold out until the next PS3 price drop (seeing as there are rumours everywhere and its been a while since the last one, cant be too far away). Just Waiting for my new external HDD to finish formatting so I can run a full backup, then I can get practising for SSR5. Cant wait, 2 weeks out + one of my Favourite tracks = excited

He was either in 1st or 2nd the entire race. The room was lagging pretty badly, as the video shows, and Roy's car ended up stopping at two points on the track twice during the race, but his car was still actually going..so he showed up as either 9th or 5th on the leaderboards.

Good to hear you'll be back this week though Although I've done zero practice this week so far, not expecting great things.

I didn't notice any lag. except from in the start. up the hill was a bit lagging. But nothing I'm not used to from my fps gaming

But at my replay Roy have his real place on the "scoreboard" all the way trough the race. I think you should drop downloading Lost during a race Arkano your the only one lagging on my screen.

I had it limited to 20kb/s, which is nothing compared to the 700+ it was downloading at before

Don't worry, I wont be downloading anything during race weekends anymore. Last weekend was just a one-off.

Well I have all my .mkv files at my server. And then I install a program on the server called PS3 media server. So it's actually the server that can play the mkv, but I have the HD picture on my tv and DTS sound. TrueHD sound is possible, but since I use the "old" Rotel RSP 1098 there aren't any HDMI on it

It was a easy setup by the way.

I still not done any practice yet, I was going to yesterday but I ended up on the Uncharted 3 beta instead.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to race tonight, I'm going out for my cousins birthday at 2 and I don't know what time I'll be back. So I might be racing or I might not be, it depends when I get home.
