Can't see anyone in Arkano or GP's lobby...
 
Can anyone please post the results so i can deliver the points table?

Or is Arkano going to hand out some penalties for the inevitable corner cuttings? :D

You should try going online with it if you can wirelessly tether your phones connection. I used to play Mario Kart DS flawlessly on a weak phone signal so a decent phone signal might be good enough for GT5!
 
Nah, there's a download limit and the latency/ping is going to be awful.
I'd rather last another 10 days on this than use up all the data.

Okay, that start was complete bull. I got a good start and was about to overtake a calsonic on the right but as I was coming along side he blocks me (don't know if it was intentional or if he just didn't see me) so I move over to the middle as I still had more speed than the guy in front and I passed him. As we got to turn 1 I got hit from both sides which caused me to tap a yellowhat then going round the long right hander turn 3 I was side by side with another car and then some numpty (don't know who) decided to force his way through a gap that clearly wasn't there between me and the other car and pushed my left wheels off the track making me spin out.:banghead:

the "don't know who" is me. i was just following my own line behind the calsonic. you where next to me. At my point of view, you had room enough. clearly there was room for 2 cars next to me.

Had perfect start. Did 15 laps on first stint,having a gap off +- 4 secs. Went in lap 15 to go on hards. Back in lap 21 on softs. Everything went as i calculated, until Falcon misjudged his braking point and knocked me off at the end off the straight. It costs me the first place, but this is racing. Some peoples didn't do 6 laps on hard what you will see on the replay.
Congratz to immortal for winning the race!
My fastest lap was 1:42:2xx.

Up to my favo track suzuka :)

Why did so many leave the race?...
 
I did 2 stints on hards. :scared:


I am very dissapointed in the race and in myself. i think i could had a battle for 4th.


My qualy's didn't go well. I choose by mistake the wrong setup. so i left the qualy at the end and did some hards on my car to start which.
Like i expected the start was a bit messy and i was struggling on my hards, so good strategy.
After 6 laps i came in the pits for softs. In the option window the first tyre choice was "soft" i thought it would be "hard" if i had them on. So i was confused, at that point i didn't know if i already had used hards or not. I lost all my focus, nevertheless on a distance i was closeing the gap whit zzxxz and others, hoping they still had to use there hards. Even if it did'nt workout i had a decent chance of gaining some places becaus of penalty to other drivers. But just to be sure i did a second stint on hards. big mistake.

Verry good race but verry hard.
in the last stint with hard tyres i make a big mistake i brake to late
after the long straight then i drive in the woll and i dont came out.
I lost 30-35 seconds heavy mistake.
The hards are verry difficult to drive.
Next Track is a verry good track.
Good race GP one lap and you have won the race.

10-second penalties for both GP and Immortal for getting too greedy with the corners towards the last 10 or so laps of the race.

15-second penalties for Falcon & myself for causing avoidable damage to other cars during the race.

15-second penalty for Phil at his next race for trying to run Zzxxz off the road at the start of the race.

Well I hope you would port forward some ports or we will have this problem every time. Port forwarding doesn't kill your internet connection, it just allow you to use your internet connection to what you payed for. (not only browsing)
 
Race from my point of view:

Qualify went amazing, I managed a 1:42.6 and that with 2wheels on the track, I have no idea how I made it. Practice have been 1:43.3 or so. Still I was all the way down to 7th position.

The start wasn't bad, but the first turn I almost crashed into my team mate Phil so I turned to the barrier and ended my great start in revers trying to get back on the track.
I just had to calm down and start from scratch, it was 36 laps to do it in so it was just not to get hot headed. I seem to gain on Maxitsu pretty fast so I figured he was on Hard Tyres. So it was just to wait for the right moment to get passed him and before I knew it he gave me that opportunity by braking to late at turn one. Then all of a sudden I gained on the rest of the guys too.

I had some amazing laps with zzxxz(crap what can I call you? I hate to sit and say zz.. next time I call you yawn) and Arkano. We tried to pull each other to gain on the leaders, but it didn't work that good. We didn't get that good laptimes when doing this but I had tons of fun. That what I call racing guys. Will not easily be forgotten :)

Then Arkano lost his sight (tv turned itself off) and yawn and me kept it going until we made our pitstop end of lap 15. I put on soft tyres and yawn hard so after a few laps I manged to outrun him. I knew I had to make good enough lead in the next 15 laps because then I had to use the hards :)

All in all unlucky first corner, but a lucky 3rd position to me, I managed to put in pretty consistent laps after the first lap, but someone had to do mistakes so I could go all the way from the bottom to 3rd :)

So what about zzxzz ramming me completely off the road? thats why I tried to stop him going past me later!

I was keeping with the front pack on one of my worst tracks and I see zzxzz in my mirror from miles back not slowing, rams straight into the side of me pushing me in the sand and think he took his self out too. Lost all hope and was incredibly pissed so thought it better I go!

Phil, there was room to go through and I slightly overshot because of the angle and hit you so I waited. I can only apologise for that but what you did to me was just ridiculous.

I can put a replay on my server, but you need the account information to log in on a FTP server. I removed port 80 from my server since PSN need it. So I can't post a link to it like last time..

Edit: Okay Adam, a lot easier to pronounce than the zzxxz, hope you didn't get insulted by the yawn thing.. I was just thinking of zZzzZ :P
 
I already started practice for Suzuka since I'm so slow there :P So if you guys like, join me and you could make fun of the 1:57 times I manage :P

I saw you complained about something about it being to hot to race.. it might be your ps3 getting really hot. Try vacuum clean the vent holes :) And put the ps3 in a way the went system works. The old big ps3 I found cooled best if it stood on the side upright so the "playstation 3" is readable. The slim one have their went holes underneath so I put something under my ps3 to raise it from the shelf for better cooling. I also added a fan next to it, this is because my roof is a trap of warm air, doesn't cool very well if the air going into the ps3 is the old warm air coming out on the backside :crazy:

I don't have Media server on.. I have another ps3 with it on..

What is the name in the menü from media server?
 
PS3 media server on can actually mess up online gaming experience after what I read, I didn't notice any different when I turned it off to be honest. But as I have a dedicated PS3 to gt5 and one to everything else it is off yes.

It can be checked in "settings" the one on the right side of users (were you turn your system off) scroll to the bottom and into network settings, again to the bottom to Media server
I actually think its off by default so if you haven't set up a media server I think you are safe :)

kinda want to know who im paired with.

cant wait for suzuka, should be a track that suits the supra in theory.
