So after almost 3 hours of practice, I've got a good base set-up for now.

Need to work on the front tyre wear if I'm going to make a two-stopper work, the fronts start to drop off at almost half a second a lap towards the last three or four laps of the stint. The hard tyres are fine though, I'm averaging 33's and 34's with the hard's.

Best time of the night so far is my 1:28.793. I can certainly go quicker than that, once I achieved my 1.28 I carried on for a full race simulation :sly:

Looking forward to this weekend! Should be a good race :)

EDIT: Just for everyone's information, last seasons quickest lap during the race was a 1:28.3xx by Roy in the Takata NSX and a 1:28.5xx by GP in the Xnavai GT-R.

Race report

I got a really good report from Shady, our judge Dredd, Falcon vs Arkano lap 1 corner 3 Max vs Kyaw lap 3 corner 1
A few things I'm not going further into, but it is down to details like Maxitsu goes over the blue striped area in lap 15 and so does Propersian in lap 19.
But back to what I do found interesting. ProPersian attempt to unlap himself with Immortalpilot on lap 28. I actually had a laugh when I saw it and it mostly went bad for you and not for Immortal. But still a silly try :)

Shady missed a few things, but I guess no one can catch everything.

C-Falcon starts all the way back due to a disconnection, to bad really. You had a great time and deserved to start further up the field. But going from 10th to 7th in the first corner is a risk even if you are on soft and the guys around you are on hard tyres. Then into turn 3 you push Arkano off the track and keep going like nothing happened.
You repeat this action going up hill against the corkscrew corner in lap 33. Ok here you are side by side, but the speed you have will make you go so wide out the corner there will be no room for Arkano. Makes him go out to the sand. I think you lack some respect for your fellow drivers and deserve a penalty of 15second.

I mention ProPersian and more than him tried to unlap themselves and that would only be fair. They had to try since they got lapped during their hard stint. Not because they where slower on the track. I think ProPersians try in lap 28 was a bit to much, but you punished yourself harder than anyone else there.
I think starting on hard on this track was a strategic suicide and the being lapped rule should count. But I decided that somehow you should have the chance to get back in the race. So I drop all charges :)

I investigated Maxitsu vs Kyaw turn one lap 3, Kyaw makes a bump on Maxitsu on the top of the hill before going down to turn one, but this should not be enough to keep Maxitsu from taking a defensive line. To me Maxitsu goes for the ideal line through the corner and Kyaw Attacks. Now they are side by side and both should give room for each other. Maxitsu tries to close the door he opened up to late and end up in the side of Kyaw's car and goes to the sand. Aggressive move by Kyaw, but as far as I see it. Clean enough. The push Kyaw gave on the top actually happens because Maxitsu did a sudden move when Kyaw tried to go on the inside into the door Maxitsu opened up. (not something I would expect from teammates, but thats not my call :) )

GP pitted one lap to late for hard tyrers and gets a 5second penalty
C-Falcon 15 Second penalty for pushing Arkano off track twice

Immortalpilot got a 35second penalty from La Sarthe counting on this race
Anastasis got a 50 second penalty from La Sarthe counting on this race

Makes the scoreboard look like this

1st ErikAndre71
2nd GP-Cian
3rd Immortalpilot
4th xxzzx
5th Arkano6
6th C-Falcon89
7th ProPersian
8th Maxitsu
9th Kyaw25
10th Anastasis14

I lost the overview on the success ballast Arkano so please, you do them.

Couple of corrections: Anatasis only has a 35-second penalty outstanding from Le Sarthe but since he wasn't classified by time, it doesn't matter :p

Falcon's penalty also contributes to forcing Zzxxz off the track towards the end of the race, going up to the corkscrew.

I'll post the success ballast when I get home in around 8 hours 👍

Anastasis: 35 seconds for cutting repeatedly going wide before corners and after corners and also cutting the corner.
Anastasis: 15 second for causing avoidable accident with Immortalpilot lap 3 Indy section, then after the accident he spins him around and drive away.

I'm sorry, but what did I miss?

im up also in about 30 mins. i think immortal just should of gone out of the way because i was clearly faster than him and i think i flashed him couple of times but oh well.. dont know if he was on hards or soft but i was trying to catch up with arkano or zzxxz, anyway fun race overall.

Well in real life you could get past him but then the blue flags would come out and you need to let him back through. It's a problem that we face on small tracks so it may happen again this weekend 👎

To be quite honest, the best thing to do if a lapped car comes out next to you from the pits because they were on the hards, just let them through. They'll be much quicker than you and there's no point whatsoever in holding them up.

For example; I was stuck behind GP & Immortal for the best part of 3-4 laps, as soon as GP pitted and I got past Immortal I pulled well away in the space of one lap.

I'm officially leaving the championship/league now.

The main reason is F1 2011, i just won't have enough time to dedicate practice for both F1 2011 and GT5. Plus i don't have any more motivation to practice for GT5.
It's not fun any more.
I could come on about an hour or 30 minutes before the race time but it's not enough to be competitive in the field. So i might as well stop than ruining other people's races.

There's also Battlefield 3 beta and retail release coming out soon.
I have tons of college work to do too but that's less of a time consumer than F1 and BF3.

So thanks for the fun over the season 1 and many countless practice sessions in between.
I had fun racing against you guys. Have fun guys. :)

Maybe i'll see you guys again in GT6. :D

Now I hope the ones knowing what quality is are left in the pack. And we don't have anyone else leaving because they got F1 2011. I get the game soon myself, but there is no way I leave the real driving simulator for a blur version of formula one

Good luck with the collage Kyaw, GT6 will most certainly not come before ps4 hit the shelf's. We all know GT5 is what it's possible on the old ps3. Any upgrade need better hardware for sure. I might be wrong, but then I actually get disappointed to be honest.

I rather get some interesting track and car packs for the existing GT5. Carpack: All the new SuperGT cars. Track pack with Spa, Silverstone and some more Japanese tracks would be awesome.
And give all the tracks weather and time change.

And we don't have anyone else leaving because they got F1 2011.

Well, It also was on my mind...but i think i will race for now...having less practise though. just filling up the grid.

Are the cars from Kyaw, Phil, Roy & Joey free to use for newbies in this league. I don't think they will be active any time soon.

Change it in the OP, maybe it can give use more new drives who want to drive those cars...

i like the idea. Becaus i was also stuck Behind Anastasis/Gp/ & Immortal

I was much faster, But its a hard track to pass. so it was difficult to make my move on a clean way (whitout messing up the leaders race)
Gp did get that, but at that time i was slowing down myself and was not confident in a move on bad tyres.

Previous Ballast:

C-Falcon89 35kg
ErikAndre71 25kg
IMMORTALPILOT 60kg
Arkano6 15kg
GP-CiaN 0kg
Anastasis14 30kg

Ballast for Monaco:

C-Falcon89 10kg
ErikAndre71 60kg
IMMORTALPILOT 70kg
Arkano6 0kg
GP-CiaN 50kg
Anastasis14 10kg
Netherdragon 70kg

I'm updating the OP now for this weekend.

EDIT:

OP is updated and sorted. Congrats to Erik for winning Laguna Seca, albeit through penalties though :sly:

Just waiting on the leader boards from Kyaw, and I think we should just remove the teams. With people coming and going all the time again it's neigh on impossible to keep up with them, but that's just my opinion.

Falcon only loses half ballast, same as me & Anastasis did, although since half of 35 is 17.2, the lowest is 10kg.

I suggested that once you fall below 30kg you should be able to remove all ballast, but iirc no one agreed/disagreed with me. I'm not too bothered though, 10kg isn't the greatest amount of ballast.

No fastest laps for Laguna Seca?

Immortal got Pole, correct?

I have no problem removing weight under 30kg mate.

Just want to see what everyone else thinks first :)

EDIT: Balls, I'm at a 40 point deficit to first, considering this time last season I was actually leading the championship  Lazyness be damned.
