I'm definitely in.

So no carbon hoods? I was hoping for that to get a little more personality out of the cars as well. I think it only saves 5kg or maybe 8, is that too siginificant? Or is it simply not allowed as per the spec rule book.

Is anybody on now? I am going to set up a new car for this, i already had one for the 4h roadster but it was tuned up to 190hp and im not sure what i did with weight. Oh well!

add me: csisac

I am pretty sure carbon hood will not be part of it, the idea is to conform to SCCA Spec Miata rule as close as the game allows.

Custom paint, custom wheels and custom painted wheels should work well enough if you want personality in your car.

I call dips on pink car with pink wheels.:lol:

I'll check in to see the action. Let me know what what the name of the event room will be and a pass code if there is one. PSN ID is GTP_RADracing

This sounds awesome, actually it's the very kind of thing I envisioned when I first went online with GT5
Sign me up for now: GTP_keito
Gonna go buy a Miata now :D

Right; he's referring to the '89 (which is offered in 5 colors) and the '91 (in Sunburst yellow).
Both are Level 0 and as far as I can tell the ONLY difference is that the '91 is 10kg heavier. Is there ANY other difference between the 2?

P.S. what mods are allowed exactly? I've got a full stock '91... haven't even changed the oil yet.

ah, my bad :ouch:

I bought a Premium sunburst yellow 91.

I did some change:
- the simpliest sport muffler,
- sport cat,
- air cone filter,
- 1st step weight reduction (895 kilograms),
- No change of the clutch disc (has to be discussed because the pressure plate seems to be included),
- Ajustable height sport suspension, NOT the fully adjustable one at 15000$.

The power is 129 horsepowers.

And racing hard tires. But I'll try with sport soft tires too if I feel the racing ones too arcady...

One slim lip, green paint and sunburst yellow BBS mags. :)

Did I forgot other authorized modifications ?

My GT5 menu is in French, so sorry for using the wrong english terms. Hope everybody understand whant I mean...

I understand a few of you are trying to help, and I appreciate it, but some of those specs will change when I post the actual rules tomorrow. Patience! :D

Just wanted to confirm we will be racing with no in game assist right (everything off)? except for the ABS which cannot be turned of, Penalty = strong, Off track/wet traction = real?

Since I don't have the internet at home, I haven't raced online yet so I have no idea what the options are.

As far as the rules go, I will post a new thread with a driver list signup, etc. I am at work and will have to do it on my lunch break, so it'll be a few hours until I do so. 👍

I really don't think strong penalties is a good idea. From what I have observed, comparing the weak vs. strong settings, penalties are assessed for the same things, and it's just the time associated with the penalties that is the difference. Has anyone else noticed this to be the case, or that there is another difference?

If the way I described is it right, then I think it's a bad idea to have a 9 second penalty, as it makes it nearly impossible to catch up if the people in front of you don't make any mistakes. It seems like the 4 second penalty is a more appropriate punishment.

What do you all think?

If you haven't raced online, let me share my observation. It will be extremely hard to host a 16 player game even if everyone is in the same region and expect a some what acceptable online gameplay. I feel a 10 car field is probably the max you want to go.

Ouch. We're going to need more than one room then.

I mean we can run a test and see.

Depends on interest, we might have to do this by region EU, US, Asia and in multiple rooms if there is a lot of drivers. Trust me, mixing regions in a 16 cars field, it will probably be unplayable.
