Oh, well separating the regions into different rooms will be ok then. We'll need volunteers to run the rooms for those regions though.

Honestly... I think there should be no penalties. We have to trust one another to race clean enough. Because sometimes you can't help nudging someone and the way the game chooses to hand out penalties is so random; I know I've had penalties for BEING rammed before. And also if someone goes off course to avoid hitting someone they shouldn't be penalized for taking a shortcut because they were only trying to keep the race clean. This game is pretty accurate, and spinning out or getting off into the sand on a track is punishment enough, an added 5 seconds just makes it impossible to even get back in the race.

I've done plenty of online racing with my buddies and just trusting everyone to race clean and leave penalties off is truly the best option. It's pretty obvious if contact is made due to accident or intention. Simple solution is to kick rammers, but like I said... since we're organizing this here we can pretty much trust the honor system as long as we're seeing names we recognize.

...that's my 2 cents anyway. :)

Then you just need to make sure you will have something about cutting corners in place & deal the contest and debate about what is consider acceptable; it is just one more thing to police.

Having a penalty system just makes it less complicate, thats my feeling.
 
I understand having a penalty for cutting corners, but I would rather not have one for car contact. Can you separate it?
 
I'm interested... but participation mostly depends on what day/time races are going to occur.

You can't.

Drivers DO have a choice to avoid contact, just saying. I race with people with stock car on comfort soft tires going 4 wide into Tsukuka T1 with none of us touching each other. In racing People made mistakes and pay for it, people who don't make mistakes sometimes also pay for someone elses mistake. That's just part of racing in reality.
 
I'm going to take a shot at this and just say no on the in-game penalties. If people cut corners and it is witnessed by others, I will come up with a penalty system by tomorrow to deal with them.

Right, but in real life if you nudge somebody the wrong way or just happen to drop all 4 wheels in the dirt does the fuel supply to your engine cut off for 5 seconds? Nope. We don't need the lousy penalty system in the game to nanny us around. If somebody cuts, they will be penalized somehow... hopefully by being kicked. Like I said, we should all trust one another to keep it honest. If there's someone out there who has to cut corners to win then they didn't come to this forum looking for honest quality racing.
 
Exactly. Pretty much if you cut and gain position, if even by accident you'll be required to give up that spot/spots or fear the wrath. :D
