Hello everyone

I found this site when searching info about the updates for GTSport.
But begun playing on PS1. Mostly skipped the PS3 era, and returned fof Sport. Thinking about it, I might have used this site before the PS4. As a kid, used to search for tutorials and info about unlocking goods on the older games

And...
MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR EVERYONE!!!

I found this site from a news article that I read.I am from the west coast of the USA. I have been playing Gt since GT5 but exclusively as a sticks player, 6 months ago I got a Thrustmaster 300rs setup. I tried online racing in the sport mode but I am tired of being recked out of every race no matter how clean I try to be. That why I joined, I am looking to join a league for some clean racing and comradery.

Hi there, my name is Tom and I came across this forum after researching some old 2000s forum threads for Dolby Pro Logic II PS2 games that used the Digital TOSLINK port.

I started out gaming with the Wii (you can probably guess how old I am with that) and today my primary hobbies are PC Gaming, Datahoarding stuff, retro gaming (software emulation, OG Hardware, MiSTer depending on the console generation) and I'm a huge supporter of DRM-Free content and FOSS Software (I use Arch BTW)

That's it I guess.

I found gtplanet from google search in 2008 either in internet explorer or firefox on win xp.
Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arab, but am Pakistani since I am from Karachi.
Road Fighters on Famicom and its clones in 1990s, NFS 2 SE on win 98 in 2003 and GT2 on ps one in 2004. Also Nfs Underground on fat ps2 in 2004.
Gamepads and Kb/M and anything usable.
I enjoy games with good design with goodness in it, mostly single player regardless whether its open world or not.
Be with everyone here just like I am also on gtaforums. He he to good times ahead of us.

Hey Folks.

With the demise/lack of development for Forza Motorsport '23 I'm considering getting set up with GT7.

This would require a considerable financial investment as I need a PS5, Game and Steering wheel so around £475 Initial outlay.

I'll be using an LG 55CX TV from a Denon AVC-X3800H 9.2 Receiver.

I'm a long time Forza and GT player but haven't played a Gran Turismo game since GT5 Prologue.

I spend most of my time in FM'23 in open "Rivals" where you buy, upgrade and tune a car any try to get as high up the leaderboard as possible an a track of your own choosing, particularly with forum created events.

I also race in Online Multiplayer mainly in the "open" class lobbies, where you can take any car you like any race against others with their cars upgraded and tuned up to the maximum class limit of that particular lobby.

I rarely touch career mode unless I need to for credits or levelling up etc

Does GT7 offer similar things to those things I enjoy?

Although I race exclusively with a steering wheel (Logitech G923) I'm not really interested in immersion, only speed. I set ffb really weak and set steering lock to minimum. I don't want to have to turn the wheel more than 90° - I like my cars set up super twitchy!

Can the cars/wheel be set to those types of settings?

Thanks for any replies :)

Happy to join and share racing moments with you, guys!!
Found Gtp browsing for GT7.
Playing on ps, Logitech G29 wheel.
I'm from Italy, driving simulation from 19s.

Hope to find some great time!

Hello, i’m Manuel.
I found GTPlanet through a Facebook group. I'm from France.

I began playing Gran Turismo at Christmas 1998 when my father gave me the PlayStation 1 and Gran Turismo 1.

I play with a Thrustmaster T598 steering wheel and an Oplite GT3 Superfast cockpit.

I also enjoy the F1 game series and RPGs.

I'm here to find tips for completing my gold medals in Gran Turismo.

Thanks !

Hi. I also play with a wheel (logitech g923) and also currently working through the licenses. What I've found helps is reducing the wheel rotation via PC. I started at the default 900° and am currently down to 360°! I've also increased wheel sensitivity.

Your English is very good by the way! Good luck with the golds. I'm up to international B all golds so far.

Look me up on PSN and we could compare our stats. PSN - Lightsider74 :)

Hi Lightsider74, welcome to the GTPlanet club. Whenever I get my ps5 back next Christmas I'll add you on my friends list. I'm not really that skilled and familiar with the Logitech wheel. Only the DS5 controller.

I found this site from a Google search on a issue I'm having in GT7. I need to post somewhere to ask a question about missing paint from GT Auto. So here it goes:

My name is Will and I'm originally from Dayton, OH but I'm typing this from San Antonio, TX.
I've been playing racing games of all types since the mid 90's including three original Gran Turismo.
Unfortunately, I don't have a steering wheel but I'd like to get one.
I play a lot of games: sports games, action/adventure games, platformers, some action RPGs, family games are the stuff I play most.
In the short term, finding an answer to my question and in the long term, hopefully lean more about how to get better at GT.

Good morning,
  • How did you find GTPlanet? I found the forum while trying to optimize cars.

Welcome to GTPlanet. I've been a long-time GT fan since 2001, when I first bought Gran Turismo 3. That's when my love for it started. So when did you buy your first wheel. That's great news. ope it helps you to score good, strong laptimes out there on any track.

i've bought the wheel and pedals just a week ago and basically i have to relearn how to drive from scratch. my times are so much worse compared to the controller :ouch:

yes lots of fun .. I came from ~12 years of PC racing (iRacing) .. but age and life has caught up with me while my PC is still stuck in 2012 specs . . so GT7 on the PS5 is a great place to be since it is plug-n-play and I can make maximum use of 15-20 minutes of my free time, anytime of the day and the week . . .

bonus find: I can re-use my D-Box motion platform & my Moza wheel and pedals set

Found on a Google search when I was looking for tuning info.
Located north of Toronto Ontario.
I've been a gamer since I was a pre teen (51 now).
I just got a Logitech g923 SE bundle when it went on sale.
I enjoy Csr2 racing on Android and some other games like Mech Assemble Zombie Swarm.
Looking to join this community, learn more about gt7 and get better at racing 😁 My son and I track his 2010 2.0t Genesis Coupe.

I use a G923 wheel and am 51 too. My first home console was a ZX Spectrum and played games such as 3D Space Wars and Trans Am.

I'm a console racer mainly but have dabbled with racing games on PC. My love for hot lapping started with PGR 2 and the Forza Motorsport 2 Demo using a controller but later switch to a wheel with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and been using a wheel exclusively since. I even built my own wheel stand!

Hey there, Gran Turismo 7 player! I’ve currently been trying to start a group with 6 friends for a weekly race that rotates each week but its pulling teeth getting everyone together.

Im here to hopefully find a group i can join for some organized weekly races and good sportsman support and community. Not sure how this forum works but will give it a go. Im only a novice player.

Current rig:
Ps5 pro
Psvr2
Trak racer t-80 aluminum profile
Trak racer haptic bass shaker system
Logitec g923 true force 💩

I also been waiting for acc evo to get better lol as i have a custom pc setup too but my logitec is currently gutless with force feed back in that game at 100%

Welcome, it's never too late to join GTPlanet.
Hi, I am Braulio,
I got interested in simracing 10 years ago via Gran turismo in console, since then, I upgraded to PC simracing. My interest in Assetto Corsa got reignited just recently and I want to experience the clean Hud of GT7. While searching for the mod, I found GTPLANET. My current rig is Thrustmaster T598, 488 Ferrari wheel and TLCM pedals. I would like to be part of the community to be informed of current developments in sim racing and download mods that would further improve my experience in my hobby. Looking forward to a wonderful experience with like minded people. I am a casual player who enjoys motorsport. Happy New Year. Happy racing!
