Hello! I have been playing since 1997. I had a Logitech force feedback wheel with PS2 and A-spec just mounted to a desk. I would like to build a sim but haven't. I am on the PS4 with Controller for now. I just got GT7 in November and I love it but some of the challenges seem impossible. I haven't taken the time to learn to tune my own cars but I may work on that over time. I just completed the last menu (X2019 races). I play on difficult with no assists except that I recently turned on ABS.

What do you all think about ABS braking versus easing on and finding the threshold braking point?

Hey mate. I'm new to GT7 having come over from Forza and Xbox. I was no ABS in FM23 but found it really difficult to "feel" the brakes in GT7 so gave up and turned ABS to weak.

I found GT Planet through YouTube.
I'm from Italy.
I started playing racing games when i was 4 (Gran Turismo on my sister's PS1).
I play with a steering wheel, a Cammus C5.
Other than racing games, I also enjoy fighting/action games.
I look forward to discover the diversity of contents and details that this immense community has to offer. I think it's really great when people share a passion like racing and try to build upon it by helping each other in finding fixes and new ways to further improve the experience of us motorsport enthusiast.

Hello everyone!
I've been going to GTPlanet for GT news since 2018 when I got GT Sport but I never got around to making an account till now for some reason lol.
I am from the US.
The first racing game I played was Need for Speed: Underground 2 on the PC back in 2005. I also played GT4 on my cousins PS2 alot.
I play with a Logitech G29 and the PS5 controller since I play more casually.
I enjoy all kinds of games but as of the typing of this, I am looking forward to RE Requiem.
I hope to learn more about sim racing in general within the community, and of course seeing peoples reaction to Kaz's silhouette teasers is always fun.

I was looking for a way to say my wishes for Gran Turismo 7 content and I found GTPlanet.
I'm from the Czech Republic and I started playing racing games in 2002. It was Gran Turismo 2.
I play on PS5 with VR2 and a Thrustmaster T248 wheel and this Year, when when the load cell will be available, I want to switch to the T598.
I also play building strategies, like Anno.
I would be happy if at least one of my wishes reached the Gran Turismo 7 content creators.

Hello.
My first contact with racing games was in earlie 2000 with Gran Turismo in PlayStation 1...
Then came a Sega Dream cast, much later a Ps2, much much later a pc, and 3 years back finally bought a gaming pc.
Out of curiosity, I found Assetto Corsa and started playing alone, to only almost a year later gained the courage to try playing online and it was my first ever online gaming !
Still having only about 150 hours of Assetto Corsa, and using a ps4 controler.
Only yesterday I discovered the abilitie to play in server through the Manager Content, and here i am now !!!!
Who knows if in the future I'll be able to by a steering wheel....

What's up Gang!

I'm new here posting, but have been perusing GTPlanet for quite some time, ever since I started sim racing in the middle of 2024. I am from New York City, born and raised.

My video game world started from the good ol' days of Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis.

I recently upgraded to the Logitech G Pro from the G923. I didn't grow up loving Gran Turismo because I didn't have a wheel; from the first iteration, using a controller never seemed intuitive, so I never bothered to get better. I bought GT7 along with the G923, so the first minute playing was on the wheel. Interestingly, I used a controller for the FIRST time the other day, and I don't know how any of y'all do it!

I try my best to start God of War; Ragnarok, as it came with the purchase of my PS5, but this racing thing right here is dangerously addictive. It's all I want to do when the PS5 sound comes on.

I look forward to experiencing more of this game through the perspective of all members. I already enjoy the commentary, advice, and predictions on what is to come, and am hopeful for more.

I don't know what to say lol I'm not really experienced with forum stuff. I figured I could get out of my bubble and participate after lurking around here for quite a while

My name's Berke. I'm new to motorsports culture. I don't do simracing for my lack of gear but I do play Gran Turismo 7 with a controller. My love for racing mostly came from trying out Gran Turismo 4 a year ago. Until then my knowledge was bound to mainstream arcade racers and road cars so I wasn't much familiar with anything motorsport related

My Gran Turismo 4 experience felt incredibly surreal even though it released over 20 years ago. I got exposed to so many diverse racecars that I instantly fell in love with racing. The game's expositive progression helped a lot with the interest as well. Since then I've been slowly learning my way through the history, the racing itself and everything else about it (including simracing.) I've also tried GTR2 for my newly found love of 2000's GT2 category and I'm super interested in doing a full championship sometime (but my controller predictably doesn't function as well so I'll have to resort to mouse steering... it is an old game after all)

I started to watch motorsport series live beginning this year with Creventic's 24h of Dubai and got to fully watch IMSA's 24h of Daytona (actually I fell asleep 15 mins before the fog FCY and woke up from my 5 hour sleep only to realize the track's still on FCY haha )

It's become addictive! I'm gonna try to follow WEC, NLS, IGTC, DTM and my first F1 season this year as well

There's still a lot for me to learn and I hope to be as experienced and knowledgeable about all this as you all. I don't really have friends so this is also an attempt to break out of my social boundaries. I'm looking forward to being alongside you GT fanatics

I actually just like Gran Turismo 4 - (Can't get my hands on 7 yet - Don't own "new sysyem". Emulate 4 on my crappy laptop)
(And just so you know... I am 41 years old... I bought Gran Turismo 4 for the Play Station 2... (I think I had "Prolog" as well? - That mighta' been "GT5?")

I say that just in case anyone's "wagging finger" is "getiin' itchy" over me EMULATING a 25-year old game I BOUGHT!
(Back in my day we used to claim "you can emulate games if you bought an actual copy of it - the emulation is you "Backing up files you own.")

I dunno if our logic was ever good... But I'm usin' it again XD!

Got back into GT4 when I read online they found SECRET CHEATS AFTER 25 YEARS!!!

I actually just like Gran Turismo 4 - (Can't get my hands on 7 yet - Don't own "new sysyem". Emulate 4 on my crappy laptop)
(And just so you know... I am 41 years old... I bought Gran Turismo 4 for the Play Station 2... (I think I had "Prolog" as well? - That mighta' been "GT5?")

I say that just in case anyone's "wagging finger" is "getiin' itchy" over me EMULATING a 25-year old game I BOUGHT!
(Back in my day we used to claim "you can emulate games if you bought an actual copy of it - the emulation is you "Backing up files you own.")

I dunno if our logic was ever good... But I'm usin' it again XD!

Got back into GT4 when I read online they found SECRET CHEATS AFTER 25 YEARS!!!
And they DID! - And I currently have 23 MILLION credits - And I can't stop Driving the FORMULA GRAN TURISMO
(Which I never got to try whe I owned the old game - Could not beat "24 hour Nurbering Eduance")

I am HEAVILY HEAVILY into "science/physics in general" - Which actually comes in QUITE HANDY when it comes time to tune cars... But actually... "Engine Knowledge" is one of my WEAKEST areas in my dear "Science"...

But I know more about... "Engines/'gear-ratios'/dampers" etc... Than your average.... HouseWife..... XD.

I am actually just here for tuning advice... And am not acually an A.... A.... Butt... Head?

I'm already BEATIN' the times they/"yous-guys" were BRAGGIN' about.... In.... 2006...
In the uhhh.... "0 to 1000 meters" test you can do.

(I do not use ANY cheats besides the "button combos" you can now enter to get $10,000,000 etc. - I Play LEGALLY.)

Here's my times THERE -And I'm SURE they're not TOO impressive... But it's... Pretty good for a Housewife.... XD

(Quick notes on PIC: 1 - YES.... I took the screencap OVER me creating this post - To SLIGHTLY try to "prove" this was "me" XD

and 2.... I find the "1000m run" to be a good test of how good a car is... Because "Top Speed" ain't REALLY how ya win races... It's accelaration.

And they can be SENT IN A TEXT MESSAGE (on all but the OLDEST phones)...
