Hello everyone!
I found GT Planet through YouTube.
I'm from Italy.
I started playing racing games when i was 4 (Gran Turismo on my sister's PS1).
I play with a steering wheel, a Cammus C5.
Other than racing games, I also enjoy fighting/action games.
I look forward to discover the diversity of contents and details that this immense community has to offer. I think it's really great when people share a passion like racing and try to build upon it by helping each other in finding fixes and new ways to further improve the experience of us motorsport enthusiast.
Hope everyone is doing great, God bless you all.
Sorry, I missed your post. Welcome to the site, enjoy your stay man. Take care and happy 2026.

Hey, Marko here ... Thee GT planet link came by in the Google news feed and I clicked ... Quick review of the site promises good content so I signed in.

Since the questions had been conveniently introduced, let me answer them...😊

1. As already said above, link in my Google news feed. Algorithm doing the right thing, I suppose 😄
2. I am from Slovenia, Europe
3. Phew, I started with racing games waay back in the days ... 25+ years ago ... first one of them I can remember would be the Test Drive .. haha, the racing cars passion led me to sim racing soon, and I have been active sim racer with a logitech momo force and a beefed up PC just after Y2K, before it was keyboard all the way 😊 most played Sims were the EA sports F1 99-02 which lasted and was mod powered for several years. Second was the RBR - the notorious Richard Burns rally which I really loved and the third to mention was the GTR2 by Codemasterd ... After 2010, life has happened and sim racing was paused only to be revived recently in my son's PS5/pro 😁
4. Since I actively started to play Gran Turismo 7 last september ... my controller was the DualSense, which I later upgraded to DualSense Edge, to add better shifting controls and slightly deeper stick settings .. in bit over 8 months, after I progressed to final level in game and my sim racing history skills came back ... eventually I plan to upgrade to proper sim-rig, timing not specified jet. For now ... The commodity of plug&play the PS5 offers from my sofa spot, is allowing much more gameplay as a dedicated rig would, due to prep requirements...and, honestly... I mastered the controller and it's 'dual sense' functions are pretty damn good replacement for the lack of FF wheel ... My lap times are no slouch even compared to guys on proper rigs 😁

Since back into gaming ... Apart from GT7, the Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yotei had taken a significant time from my I her sofa powered personal joys :)
5. Ain't looking for anything in particular...curious if what's going on with fellow racers and on simracing scene in general ... Will attend if anything intrigues me enough .. :)

Welcome to GTPlanet mate, glad you finally found us after all these years.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been passionate about racing simulation for a long time. I first discovered simracing back in the days of GTR2, where I really started learning the ropes. After that, I took a long break from the hobby before returning about two years ago, with a strong desire to explore the immersive side of simracing much more deeply.

Since coming back, my approach has been driven by a constant search for immersion. I’m always experimenting with ways to make the experience feel more alive and authentic — whether through hardware, tactile feedback, or detailed vibration profiles that help recreate the character of real racing machines. For me, simracing is not just about driving fast; it’s about feeling the car, understanding its mechanical personality, and bringing that sensation as close as possible to the real thing.

GTPlanet showed up on my homepage, along with other GT7 affiliates. I just gave a look, and now here I am.
I'm from Minnesota. I've been playing racing games even before GranTurismo made it's debut. I was really big on rally racing games then. Now, I'm in to all types of racing, including this game I play now and then called "Wreckfest".
I use a game controller to play. I have yet to try a wheel set up.
The only thing that I'm interested in with the community is gaming tricks, tips, cheats, or any other clues or info that I may need to play and/or complete the GT7 game. I don't know much about the community stuff, but I do know that I love to play!

Hello everyone. I found GTPlanet while searching information about specific Gran Turismo topics. Not sure when was the first time this happened, so given the chance now I 'd like to thank everyone for all the info posted on here and of course Jordan for creating the site in the first place.

This may come as a surprise, but "Faith Jones" is just an alias I used for NFS Payback. I 'm actually from Greece. You understand, resisting The House was quite the task, hence us also resorting to an offroad-only policy for as long as was necessary. It was our way to hold up a stubborn resistance where least expected. We eventually proved that, with patience and strategy, all is possible.

I started playing racing games back in 2000 or so, with Colin McRae Rally 2.0 and Midtown Madness 2. Got into Gran Turismo thanks to some friends. I 'd like to be playing with a wheel, but don't have the space for it. Other games I enjoy are the Test Drive series (from 2002 onwards), most of the NFS series, the Crew series, Assetto Corsa... This must have something to do with how much I enjoy real-life driving. I know the car on my profile pic is an automatic, but hey, I don't drive that. I just put it there for aesthetics. What I drive ever since I could quit offroading is a 4th-generation 6MT Yaris, bought for handling rather than aesthetics. It literally has no need for its ESP, even on the wet, apparently its chassis and suspension have been very well engineered. Toyota needs to stick to its "no more boring cars" line, seeing as this sort of "interesting" car turns out to be safer and more efficient overall than the "boring" alternatives. I also need to note that the manual gearbox is super easy to use, to the point of absolutely removing any perceived "advantage" of automatics on that front. The clutch is light, gears go in and out even with just one finger, all it needs is a shorter and denser gearing that will hopefully come with ethanol engines when the EV trend is officially forced to fall apart.

The idea behind my decision to register here is to provide my insight on what Gran Turismo needs. I won't be generically demanding "more content" or bashing the game altogether, as its foundations are actually great. And, if you 're willing to apply actual driving principles, you can absolutely avoid the dreaded microtransactions. I 've bought several of the most expensive cars in the game through just a strategy of efficient grinding. Sure it does take time, but not as much as some might fear.

Again, thank you.

Hello Community!
I am saying hi from Singapore. Originally I am from Germany.
My passion for Motorsports & Racinf developed in my early childhood beeing taken to formula 1 races.
Ever since I wanted to race, so I started with the firs race simulations on Playstation.
Later I started racing in the RCN Series at the Nürburgring with my very own biult VW Corrado G60 to receive my international-C racing license to participate in the 24h of Nürburgring. I was lucky enough to full fill my dreams and I was racing ther NLS Series and the 24h of Nürburgring on a BMW M3 E36.

Eversince I was playing GT on PlayStation.

I cam across gtplanet during my search for a motion Sim-Rig.
Currently I am loocking into the Sim-Rig market because I want to ave a 3DOF Sim-Rig but finally ending up with a 6DOF solution.

CU on the Tracks
Cheers

Welcome to GTPlanet man! Enjoy the site and random threads.

I found GTPlanet on Google while looking for Gran Turismo 7 daily race info.

I’m from The USA. I’ve got about 177 hours in GT7 so far, and that’s really where I started taking racing more seriously. Before that, I mostly played racing games like Need for Speed and Midnight Club on controller growing up—never anything as technical or competitive as Gran Turismo or F1.

I’m running a Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel with the Pro Pedals & PSVR2, which has been a huge step up for me and made the experience a lot more immersive.

Outside of racing, I also play Fortnite and enjoy single-player story-driven games.

I’m mainly looking forward to improving my racecraft, learning from more experienced drivers, and getting involved in clean, competitive racing when I have time.

Hello everyone! Glad to be here 👋

I found GTPlanet while searching online for Gran Turismo tips and community discussions.

I’m from Greece 🇬🇷

I started playing racing games many years ago, but I really got into them with Gran Turismo.

Yes, I play with a wheel – currently using a Fanatec setup, which I really enjoy.

Besides racing games, I also like action and open-world games.

What I’m looking forward to the most is improving my skills, sharing experiences, and connecting with other racing enthusiasts.

Happy to be part of the community! 🚗💨
