Well I went from a Core 2 Duo running approx 120fps in testing (and most of the time in racing, but it would stutter and drop down to 70 or less in multiclass races with a lot of cars and stirring up dust. Since upgrading to i5 I've set an FPS lock to 150fps and the only time it drops below that are a couple spots at places like Spa or Suzuka, and only once or twice will it stutter (loading something it seems). And for future proofing, iRacing will be moving to three cores soon.

Well I can find 8 core ones on ebay for 400 but with no OS...

Is this any good? 8 core

^That's a lot of tracks and a lot of cars let alone the shader updates for those tracks, Spa sounds amazing when they do that!

I like these videos, they show us many projects that there working on.

I can't wait for the BTCC series, it looks like they've signed most of the tracks so hopefully this will be a true official series!

If i could trade the PS3 in for a gaming computer straight up id be all over this game. But it will have to wait :(

Do it Kevin! You won't be dissapointed! Once you take the C6.R for a spin there will be no turning back!

Something with an Intel i5-2500k would be perfect. AMD is not really relevant, and eight cores are pretty much useless.

You don't LFB in cars that don't use a clutch? So you don't use your left foot at all unless it's for the clutch?
I use a MOMO wheel, which has no clutch pedal. I RFB because the gas and brake pedals aren't far apart enough IMO, I just can't get used to keeping my legs that close together while racing.

I did that whole race with my FFB at 19! on accident, My wrists may be dead, but maybe i should do that more often .
I started 7th and finished 2nd. and made quite a few real passes (where they didn't go off)
All of you guys need to do legends this week at Slime rock at least once, it's so much fun!:D:D:D (even though we all got dominated :))
and it boosts your oval SR for you road guys!

Legends are fun on road courses, but damn you really need to remember to turn the FFB down. Every little bump seems to go straight to the wheel.

It was all I could do to keep it from jerking the wheel out from underneath me and spinning, but I survived

I don't see why you guys don't like Lime Rock.
I think for most people it's down to bad memories from rookie class. I love Limerock! Things can get crazy but with a good group of drivers you can settle into a good rythm and never put a wheel wrong!

I like it, it's just a slick track to me, once I got the hang of it, it became really fun. If the "slime" is what made you think that (I didn't think that that had a negative connotation to it, just a reference to how slick it is)

Our league race at Lime Rock was pretty interesting. About 1 second difference in laptimes between the Mustangs and MX5.

Really thinking of getting back into this, especially with the holidays coming up. I really miss the fun I had on this game. I think the reason I stopped was because the mx5 got ruined with the new tire model, although I heard the cup car is good.

I can't wait to get into it as well, haven't really played in a few months because of university. Last exam tomorrow so shoulw be on next week, planning on thrashing the vette around for a series and some other road car.

What was strange for me with the mx5 NTM was that I suddenly found the roadster undrivable so I stuck with the Cup. After getting comfortable with the NTM I have since started using the roadster again in the iRNC. I am a slow learning pilot so I bet you can learn how to handle the mazdas in a day!

Im sure i will, i just cant afford any "toys" right now while im in school. In the meantime ill keep playing GT5 and its unbelievably bad tire wear issues until then. I saw part of the Le Mans race last weekend and sat there and watched cars come in to the pits, clean the windshield, take fuel and leave. WHAT NO TIRES? You mean a car can last more than 5 laps without tires? 💡

Just my luck. Felt like having a small run around in iRacing, practicing in the Corvette or Caddy but I don't have the tracks for this week, can't even get up my D license because I don't have the track for the Solstice/MX5/Jetta thingy, so I figure I better stick to the MX5 cup and the site's down for maintenance

Edit: MX5 has a lot more grip with this NTM!

I just noticed that iSpeed automatically saves your setup whenever you set a new personal best?! How awesome is that?!

Hopefully I do well this week at Daytona. The Ford GT setup there feels really unstable to me. And the braking for turn 1 is just treacherous. We'll see what happens though.
