Come on Eric!!

Ohhhhh!!!! Come on!! Eric on the draft!! Finish line coming up!!

And it all ends up in a cloud of smoke at the finish line!!!

THAT is a finish lol, too bad Eric couldnt squeeze through in time. If the start/finish were 500ft further he might have had it.

Jav
We need to get Eric in here for an exclusive interview for GTP!!

I don't interview. I just drive.

:D

Edit: In case nobody mentioned it, Russell and Ayrton are my teammates, as well as a couple of the Mustangs also sporting the 49 Motorsports livery.

That move at the end was well.. Interesting :p You're the red and White car?

Yeah. Figured I'd at least push Ayrton up there. If it was Daytona we may have been able to push all the way past Russell. I lifted to get off his bumper in the turn because I wasn't sure that I wouldn't spin Ayrton.

His name is Aryton? 'Nuff said :p Looked like a neat race, been enjoying the MX-5 myself recently..

Russell makes some awesome setups for it. Really transforms the car. Just a touch too loose for me, I had to make a minor shock and brake bias adjustment to get comfortable. I've been awful during practice both times at Homestead, then make a huge improvement starting at qualifying. I was 11th fastest in practice. Then qualified 3rd, skipping from 1'35s straight down to 1'33.

Currently debating whether Ayrton's pass is legal. League organizer is claiming it was on the apron so it wasn't. He only initiated the pass there, then came back up, then Russell clearly door slams him. Not how I like my teammates to play...

Eric i thought for sure you were gonna win when the 2 lead cars started bumping, once one of them spun i was like "there it is, eric has it" but just short! The closing laps were fun to watch, since there was no Mustang race the cameras were on you guys.

James Stevenson had that race. When I was behind Ayrton I was watching James gain about half a second on us every lap. I think Ayrton was slowing me down a little bit but he was following me too closely so I let him by. Some people really put the pressure on at turn 1 coming off the oval at 130mph. Lol

Full broadcast is up!

It's the CESCS Mustang/MX-5 multiclass endurance league.

My schedule changed so I can't participate this season, but it's the best racing I've had in iRacing. They've got live race marshals which I think really keeps people in check, because they WILL hand out punishments (real punishments like race suspensions and grid penalties) for poor driving. It also utilizes full course cautions for bad crashes, if only this "simulation" called iRacing didn't allow us to just disappear off of the track when we hit the reset button it would make it super realistic.

Highly recommended league by everyone who has participated, but registration is completely full for this season, and probably even full for next season considering the problems they are having with too many drivers participating.

Haha

Brings back memories of rookie on LRP. Do I dare to risk 1.0SR to relive them? :dopey:

Been there, done that :p

I still love racing in the Mazda Roadster. So i am driving in the IRacingnews challenge MC whit the mazda. I had and still have alot of fun there. But sometimes it happens you can have a clean race and and 2 houres later the next race could be a noob-fest

I could be wrong but isn't that the Rookie's at Lime Rock. :p

:lol::lol::lol:

Yeah, Continental Endurance Sports Car Series (CESCS), as Superbike said. And I wouldn't have a clue about when we'll be open for new drivers. Last season we had around 60 registered, Daytona (our first race) was I believe 2 drivers short of a full grid and it got less and less. Mainly Mustang drivers were dropping out. Now we've got 80 people registered and many more of them are participating. Daytona filled up in less than half an hour. Barber filled up (only 39 pit stalls), and 39 cars for Homestead-Miami. Hopefully we're good for the rest of the season now. I signed up for the session 4 minutes after it opened and 23/43 pit stalls were already taken.

Edit: The overlay has the series name, TWICE. ;)

Seems like a pretty fun league. I keep forgetting some oval tracks have road courses too, I have a couple of them but there's still a long way to go. But I'm trying to get all the actual road courses first.

Anyway, if anyone cares to watch here's the latest broadcast from the league I participate in.

This was on Thursday night and Friday was our independence day so the grid was pretty low. That's the only reason I was 3rd on qualify.

But despite the low grid the race was fun for me as I was fighting for positions most of the time. Commentaries are in Portuguese, sorry about that.

There's lots of good videos on that channel, check it out. I like to watch the Cadillac's races.

What's your take on this guys? To me is plain cheating! The guy intentionally hangs back to get a jump on the field and takes 4 possitions before the start/finish line before the race even starts:
