Try going from a 3.5 to a 1.4..

Can I file a protest against one person for multiple incidents in one race? This was in the Mustang Challenge. This person spins the leader out on the formation lap, spins out another person into the first corner and sends them into me, then spins two laps later and pulls out on the track in front of me and another car. He then catches up to me in my now damaged car and proceeds to shove me right off the side of the "Rollercoaster" (The left hander after the essess)... I'm not one to protest, but I'm getting tired of this.. My worst week of iRacing without a doubt.

Sure. My only protest involved a driver with multiple infractions. Ihad to use dropbox to get them the replay though - even cut it was over 35 MB due to the length of time the driver was acting like an idiot.

Just checked, my safety rating is now 1.6.

Hydro, that seems legit, people just sign up no practice whatsoever, so a message for the weekend warriors...

If you 🤬 me again, I will 🤬 you over with a 🤬 whilst 🤬 🤬 a coke can and 🤬 🤬 "Beat it" by Michael Jackson.

But seriously, I want to get into the GT/LMP classes and the higher Open Wheel classes but I am left wondering why I would pay that much money for this.

Just what the doctor ordered. Feel bit better now.

I might be about to get my first pole, wish me luck!

Edit: 33 drivers :scared:

Edit: 35. Chances of pole are low.

Edit: 37. This is the biggest iRacing race I've ever been in. 🤬 oh 🤬 chaos!

How'd it go? I wanted to watch, but I don't have road atlanta

Guy obviously has no awareness or care of drivers around him, protest seems legit. Probably another guy who came over from Forza thinking hes a bad ass.

I really wish the Nationwide series would return to Watkins Glen (or another road course).. any reason why they dropped road courses?

Does anyone use any sort of brake pedals mods on the Logitech G27? I was considering a set of Fanatec CSP's but they were a bit out of my price range, I figure modding my stock G27 pedals is a more cost effective option? Any suggestions? My only worry is voiding the warranty on my G27..

I have had a perfect pedal for almost 2 years now. Havent had any issues with it at all. As far as voiding the warranty if you have any issue with the wheel you can just put the original parts back in the pedal base. I would suggest also getting the bodnar cable to make the pedals standalone with higher resolution.

Nixim Mod, Best bang for the buck and makes a huge difference!

You have experience with it?

I guess, since he's much faster than us, he must have some better braking control.

My main question, is if the Nixim mod offers adjustable feedback for pedals. The Jetta is a point-and-squirt car, but, I spin the wheels too much (like T10b at Road Atlanta, for example.)

You have experience with it?

Very very limited, ran 2 laps on a Simraceway demo rig at Sebring earlier this year that had it on. Felt pretty good, I felt very comfortable on the brakes pretty close to the feel of my CSPs.

Yeah I just got to see the video and I would say that the guy driving that Mustang is a fool.

But, iRacing doesn't like to name and shame so I don't know where you stand with that youtube video. ;)

It's unlisted, it's just the video I included when I filed the protest. Thanks, not sure why the link wasn't correct, it was working just fine for me.. :p

Here it is, for some reason, your link shows a Caddy hot lap.

he crashed 4 cars in a 1 minute video. aweome. i see alot of those drivers. I usually don't protest those drivers. Caus if i have to do just that i have to protest every race someone... :ouch: I often send them a friendly PM. They usually ignore that. But some take the advice and try to improve. If it happens for 2 or 3 times i send a report.

I've been running the GTEYE spring in my G27 pedals for several months now. I like it a lot, but I've never tried anything better, so maybe I just don't know what I'm missing. :)

While the start is being staged, bring up the tire and fuel black boxes and deselect the check boxes.
It's a bit silly that they just don't turn that feature off in races that don't need it at all.

How are you liking the Caddy series? I really like it, but it has a bad habit of destroying my SR :( For some reason there's a lot of drivers that cannot control the car at all. Had an 18 driver grid the other day and got punted 3 times in 2 laps due to drivers missing brake zones. Dodging spins in turn 1 and up the hill at Laguna is a regular feature of the series this week.

Thanks. I'll try it. :)

I love the car. I actually think I like it more than the Corvette, though I've only done a small amount of practice with it. I've only done 4 races and a lot of sessions I'm in tend to include a majority of drivers with times in the 25s at Laguna, which is okay and competitive I guess if you're running 25s. :dopey: 3 out of the 4 races I've qualified on pole so I haven't really experienced turn 1 mayhem, but there definitely seems to be more people who don't know what they're doing when I've been overtaking backmarkers and other cars in practice sessions, compared to the MX5 for example.

Hearing that the Caddy cup will be moved up (to D Class?) can only mean good things.

I'm with you there 👍
That series does have problems with drivers as it is now. I've even told other drivers that they are fighting / blocking lapping cars and to get out of the way - and I wasn't the lapping driver, I was just shocked at the total lack of respect and awareness.
I'm not particularly fast at Laguna (in any car - and in GT5 as well - just not a great track for me), my pb is 1:25.0xx which puts me in the top 5 on the grid usually - but with a huge problem. There's always at least 3-4 faster drivers behind me :( and that gets tricky real fast and I usually allow the obviously faster guys to go by. Why they don't just run 1 quali lap is beyond me...actually, come to think of it, I'm usually the last of the quali'd drivers - which almost always lands me in the top 5.. also odd because in quali's I'm usually one of the mid-fast drivers with a lot of 1'30's and higher in the room. Where do those slower drivers go??? Seing several 1'30-1'50's in quali's is not uncommon.
That series does more damage to my SR than I'd like to admit or care to keep track of.

I also wonder where them slower drivers end up. Maybe they better their lap in another session before they actually race? And I agree with other drivers qualifying. I've only not qualified a few times, so I'm hoping you get less non-qualifiers the higher class series you race in? (Might be way off here lol).

Is anyone racing the Star Mazda at Suzuka this week (after today)? How good are the base setups with this car?

Finally got my SR back up to a reasonable level, now to work on my iRating..

I've been working on irating more lately and letting my SR fall where it may. I finally got above 1400 and it's slowly climbing up even with few bad races with some folks at Rockingham not ever driving the track.

Is it me or should they have more laps on that event for each race? 20 laps at Charlotte is a joke, why not atleast fixed setup race with same number of laps.
