I downloaded the falcon c6r setups, and it made a huge difference, I actually made it out of mclaren territory!
But the first corner after pits is still a tricky one, once I start spinning, there is no stopping it there, in any setup, what's the trick? 3rd gear?

While I'm not driving the C6R, the best way I've found to negotiate that turn is to enter really wide and then cut in near the tire wall. This allows you to get as straight as possible so you can get on the gas without having to worry as much about spinning. I run right next to the cones until they end and then go slightly off the track into the paved runoff area under braking and then cut in to the left.

Just lost a ton of iRating thanks to what I assume is a glitch. Decided to start the race in the pits. Upon exiting the pits I get a black flag for speeding in the pits. I was a bit confused because I used the pit speed limiter. Serve the penalty, come out of the pits and again, using the limiter and got a black flag for speeding in the pits. Must be some sort of glitch. I was well below the pit speed entering and exiting the pits as well.

After the last big update I had iRacing crash on me 3 times for a loss of over 300 sr points. They told me to submit it to the tech department, oh ya and that they can't give me my lost sr points back.

How many 4x is that? lol, I guess you mean IR. Just couldn't help my self ;)=

I'm starting to get that one, I meant the exit of the one after the pit wall chute, like T2 or 3?
If you look at it like a right hand pushing in a semi-flat balloon, It'd be the the exit of the thumb

You mean that chicane between T1 and the hairpin?
That's a flat out late apex that should place you to the middle-right of the road. The idea there is to get you as far down the track rather than to the edge of the road...

You can't really blame him for the first situation as there is plenty of room, if the other car can't handle his car because the track isn't 4 field wide anymore he shouldn't attempt the overtake.

Last situation, I seen people with this pore awareness all week, and by the rules the white and pink car wasn't fully along side and the corner belong to the car in front. Also the fact that the overtaking car is fully responsible to make the move safe will end up in a racing incident from iRacing.

As I said I seen this all week from people, and I did a race. I even yielded when I had the corner rights. And people wrecked all over the place because the awareness of people sucks. I could have made a incident free 7th place, but went out of fuel in the bus stop and saw a lot of car pass me before I rolled over the finish line at 40km/h in 12th place.

So if I had the fuel I could end my race at 7th in a over 2000 SOF race even if I didn't race anyone.

I say treat any race in the McLaren as a rookie race, people can't seem to control their ego..

Fiar play. I should also mention that this guy was blocking for 10th position like his life depended on it. So bad that he had a train of about 8 cars lined up behind him. The first incident was more of a lag compensation issue in iRacing. Not much could have been done there. Had their been no lag compensation, the incident still would have happened though. The red car was closing the gap on the orange one. The incident involving me was down a straight line. I'm well along side him, and he decides to change his line and turn down into me.

I'd talk to the other guy(chicane guy) and see if he wans to protest too, that way you'll minimize the chance of a BS call on iRacing's part.

no the hairpin, there seems to be a slight bump on exit that unbinds the car really fast, I turned down my rear camber a little, it seemed to help with grip, but when I start to spin there, there is just no saving it, and I see quite a few people spinning there too. but I'm really starting to get the hang of the track and I'm now in the high 42 to low 43s now and I realized that rev matching with no clutch is really easy in this car

Did you talk to him after the race? Like others have said, it doesn't look intentional at all, and I'm sure if you were to just tell him you didn't appreciate that and to be more aware next time things might be cleared up, thats usually what I do. Protesting someone without them knowing you weren't to happy with them to begin with doesn't seem fair to me. I'd talk to this person and get their side of the story, and go from there. I only protest if someone is driving like a complete nut, like that Mustang racing incident on VIR I posted awhile back.

He left the race straight away. And did not respond to either mine or the other drivers questions. Haven't received any sort of apology over a pm or anything. I could honestly care less about the incident that happened. Maybe the guys just not having a good day. But, I'd at least like some sort apology or something. I don't even care that I lost 100 iRating to it.

That especially annoys me, some people can't cool their egos enough to admit they were wrong and just give a simple apology. I'm not saying thats the case with him, but I've had it happen to me a few times before so it wouldn't surprise me.

Well when you fall off the horse, get back on. Gonna try another GT race, maybe the cold brew will calm my nerves enough to make me focus better 👍

one guy just ran a 39.7! that's insane
Good luck kevin

Lucky for me that guy didnt show up, i started on pole and finished there. But to be fair, the fastest lap outside of me was a 42 something and i was hitting 41's. Much better drive this time, a few mistakes but no oh **** moments. The Mclaren just dominates the field, everyone is running it.

Anybody feel that I could get a protest on the red car in this video? He made some pretty poor decisions within a matter of 3 corners.

I would protest him, he was a little subtle about it but iRacing has to clamp down on these types of aggression's.

I guess you mean poor. Just couldn't help my self ;)=

First incident there was plenty room, second incident is just horrible. its like he want to close the door when somebody it is to late. very poor. i would't protest him becaus there are alot of ircaers who does make this mistake every race Then i spent to much times on protest.

Here is a very protestable incident, it wasnt protested as he ruined himself in the process, he got what he deserved, although he probably didnt learn anything from it.

I found out the hard way that people can't hold a defensive line into the first corner.

And I agree with everybody else Kamuifanboy, if people are planning on making a move into the bus stop you first have to be sure you can pull the move off without risking both cars.

And the second incident is definitely his fault, his judgement was so poor, as was the use of his mirrors and steering wheel.

So I'd say that most people agree that the second incident (Involving myself) was probably his fault?

I really should have foreseen something like this coming. Like I said, the guy was blocking and cutting people off like it was his day job. I guess that is one problem I have had with iRacing sometimes. I expect people to race against me like a real racing driver. And then I remember that probably less than 5% of the population on iRacing has even sat in a race car. So they probably have no clue what to do, and what not to do.

^ or they see it as a "game" and just don't care..

This could also be the case.

Just got finished with another race. Luckily no incidents involving me. I started from the pits and finished 11th in a 3500 SOF field. I guess I can't complain too much about that. Based on the times, about where I should have finished. The drivers in front were just in a class of their own lol.

Congrats to Mr. Downs for having an awesome battle to the finish for the win. Wish I could drive as fast as some of the near aliens or aliens lol.
