I downloaded the falcon c6r setups, and it made a huge difference, I actually made it out of mclaren territory!
But the first corner after pits is still a tricky one, once I start spinning, there is no stopping it there, in any setup, what's the trick? 3rd gear?
Just lost a ton of iRating thanks to what I assume is a glitch. Decided to start the race in the pits. Upon exiting the pits I get a black flag for speeding in the pits. I was a bit confused because I used the pit speed limiter. Serve the penalty, come out of the pits and again, using the limiter and got a black flag for speeding in the pits. Must be some sort of glitch. I was well below the pit speed entering and exiting the pits as well.
After the last big update I had iRacing crash on me 3 times for a loss of over 300 sr points. They told me to submit it to the tech department, oh ya and that they can't give me my lost sr points back.
While I'm not driving the C6R, the best way I've found to negotiate that turn is to enter really wide and then cut in near the tire wall. This allows you to get as straight as possible so you can get on the gas without having to worry as much about spinning. I run right next to the cones until they end and then go slightly off the track into the paved runoff area under braking and then cut in to the left.
You can't really blame him for the first situation as there is plenty of room, if the other car can't handle his car because the track isn't 4 field wide anymore he shouldn't attempt the overtake.
Last situation, I seen people with this pore awareness all week, and by the rules the white and pink car wasn't fully along side and the corner belong to the car in front. Also the fact that the overtaking car is fully responsible to make the move safe will end up in a racing incident from iRacing.
As I said I seen this all week from people, and I did a race. I even yielded when I had the corner rights. And people wrecked all over the place because the awareness of people sucks. I could have made a incident free 7th place, but went out of fuel in the bus stop and saw a lot of car pass me before I rolled over the finish line at 40km/h in 12th place.
So if I had the fuel I could end my race at 7th in a over 2000 SOF race even if I didn't race anyone.
I say treat any race in the McLaren as a rookie race, people can't seem to control their ego..
Both incidents looked like cases of inattentive driving on his part, but nothing malicious so not protestable.
You mean that chicane between T1 and the hairpin?
That's a flat out late apex that should place you to the middle-right of the road. The idea there is to get you as far down the track rather than to the edge of the road...
Did you talk to him after the race? Like others have said, it doesn't look intentional at all, and I'm sure if you were to just tell him you didn't appreciate that and to be more aware next time things might be cleared up, thats usually what I do. Protesting someone without them knowing you weren't to happy with them to begin with doesn't seem fair to me. I'd talk to this person and get their side of the story, and go from there. I only protest if someone is driving like a complete nut, like that Mustang racing incident on VIR I posted awhile back.
one guy just ran a 39.7! that's insane
Good luck kevin
Anybody feel that I could get a protest on the red car in this video? He made some pretty poor decisions within a matter of 3 corners.
