Just got done practicing with my new content!

I got-

Mclaren
Star Mazda
HPD
Watkins Glen
Suzuka
Indy

I must say, I'm enjoying everything!

Not necessarily. I found Fuji Speedway to be extremely boring. It's a shame because I have to drive there the most :|

Poor, poor you. You have to drive Fuji speedway in real life more then any other track. :)

Wait what? Tilke did nothing but renovate the track to be able to run F1. The layout did not change. The layouts that they used 40 years ago were so much more fun.

Really? I thought he was the one who designed the current layout.
Well, Mr. Tilke I'm sorry for attributing a boring track to your infinite count of boring tracks!
:p

;) told ya about Star Mazda and Watkins Glen. Suzuka is pretty well the same as GT5's rendition, which surprised me. The physics make a fun difference, though, making it harder to stay on the track.

I would really like to try this out but I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to online play. Due to children around the house I haven't had much time to play other than single player games. Any tips for me to ease into it? I guess I'll just get that $6 one-month membership.

I have a free 3-Month promo code if you'd like it.

Welcome to iRacing:)

Sweet! Welcome to iRacing!

Thanks guys.

Completed two races in the nvididia cup and haven't hit anybody yet, but my SR has gone down to. 2.47 due to literally having a wheel off the edge of a track and it saying I'm off the track!

2nd race I was pretty competitive running in 5th until my turning seemed to go off centre so I pitted assuming it was a mechanical fault and nothing was done in the pits so the sent I went out again in 8th place with 2 laps left.

No idea what the problem was but after the race I went into a test session and there was no problem :/

You might've caught damage on a curb or something... On the Rookie and D class series there's 1 free repair wich means damage is automatically repaired as soon as you stop in your pit box.
You might want to map a few important functions to your wheel's buttons such as the F3 Black Box, Select/De-select button, Scroll and Delta Splits.

What's the world cup all about? I'm confused by it all..

Well I did find out about the Cadillac promo so I went that way. Does the Cadillac promo have all the content? Thanks for the offer though man:)

Nothing has all the content, you buy a membership subscription, you get some of the basic content then you buy additional cars and tracks as you advance through your iRacing Career.

I didn't make my question very plain.:) Does the Cadillac promo have the same content as the other subscriptions is what I was wondering.

Definitely the best promo out there, doesn't have all the content, but it has a lot of content and all you need to run the complete Cadillac season. If you're in fact going to race the Cadillac please practice a lot! The car can be pretty hard to drive in the horrible fixed setup used for that series.

^This!

It's tough at the beginning, but don't get discouraged. I started out with the MX5 and found myself off track very often in the beginning. On day 2, I decided to give the Cadillac a spin. I don't remember which track it was, but I seriously couldn't even make it around a full lap without having an off.

Now, 2 months in, my enjoyment level is a lot higher. I'm up to C license on the Road side, just racing the MX5 and Mustang. I'm still Rookie on the Oval side, but I decided this week to fix that (since I'm not a big fan of the tracks in the other series this week).

Half the people don’t know how to race in street stock. Was running 5th when a crash ahead happens, I slow to avoid and get rear ended. I pit use my fast repair, only to be wrecked by a car 2 laps down. Not happy :grumpy:
