Yeah thats what i dont understand, his car was already beaten up and there was no reason to fly out of the pits.

Eh, unless it meant i could have my position back im not even gonna bother. He did apologize and claimed he "locked up" coming out of the pits. But clearly he just lost it.

Ah fair enough then, we're all human and make mistakes I guess. The protest system is never my first resort anyways.
 
I love iracing and they do a great job (not perfect but damn close), but no matter what iracing does they can not fix stupid. that is said person to fix.

Side note- ill be running some races early in the morning before I head to my garage Sunday (if I wake up)
 
Lanier is a tough track especially with the legends, I ended up running half an inch of rear stagger:crazy:.
Ran a race with a bunch of Aussies and was pretty much uneventful except for my own bonehead move, sliding up in front of a guy that I thought was clear but I ended up taking both of us out and I joined back up 4 laps down and on pace with mid pack but my old setup got really tight towards the end there and I was pretty slow.

January 24-25 or w.e, this weekend.

Basically, it's on for the weekend of the real 24 hours of Daytona Grand-Am race. I'll be too busy watching the real race and laughing at how awkward this Week 13 stuff will be.


💡 Or, pending SR, I could just drive the V8 Supercar as if it were a drift car, while qualifying from the pole... And let the rookies try to pass me. :sly: :dopey: :crazy: :scared: :ouch:

Safety rating is at an all time low. Wondering what I have to do to get a clean race in now.

Just 5 minutes ago, I am leading a Skippy race, I see this guy in my rear view coming up my inside so I give him a bit of room and he still manages to lock up and veer straight into the side of me.

1.3 is my current safety rating. :|
 
The 2.4 is this Friday at 9 PM Eastern as well as this coming Saturday at 1 PM (or 2?) Eastern.
 
9:00 eastern is kind of crazy considering the race is long, plus that long practice. It won't end till almost midnight.

I'm still debating on whether to race it or not. I'll be at Daytona all day Thursday and Friday so I'll be super tired, then trying not to kill myself in a DP or McLaren for 2.4 hours will be tough.

We'll see. I know it'll be fun!
 
What will you be at Daytona for? I'll probably end up running it Saturday, I just don't want to miss the start of the real race.. :p
 
I'll be there to drink lots if beer and watch awesome cars battle and shoot fire. :)

I also know a some of the Continental Tire drivers and crew members from the SCCA Club Racing scene and track days.

The beer drinking may be another reason I may skip the race on Friday night. It 'may' impair any decent performance. :D.
 
Yep! The 3 hour Continental Tire Challenge race is on Friday afternoon though (this is the race the Roar was replicating). Plus it's fun to walk around on Thursday and Friday when are less people there.

It's nice having Daytona 45 minutes away.

This is the first year i am not going in 5 or 6 years. shame life is to busy right now. cant wait for next year and the new rules! i miss all the open cockpit cars.
 
I'll be racing in both 2.4hr events. Still not sure if I want to race both races in one car, or race McLaren in one and DP in the other. I guess it depends on the amount of practice I can put in this week.
Also looking forward to watching the 24hr this coming weekend.👍

Not for this one, I'll definitely be going to Sebring though!
 
The McLaren at the 2.4 definitely is a good way to get good a good SR bump! Just don't wait till tomorrow after W13 starts to repair your SR!
 
I am finally understanding the McLaren, I joined a hosted session at suzuka last night, I was still several seconds off pace but that's normal for me, I'm always 4-6 seconds off the fast guys almost everywhere and usually 4-6 tenths off on ovals. I just don't like the snap back I get from a slide and setup is still very confusing so I just use other's setups
 
I've worked all weekend am itching to race....anyone who owns a Mustang care to join me at Daytona at 10:15 eastern for some fun?
