Can't wait till Roush gets over his cold.

It's back!

I'm kidding. That was mean.

I thought the first race had 1000+ entrants. Servers handled it fine then.

This is what I was thinking as well. I think there were like 1050 or so last night and everything was fine.

I saw 915 while my countdown was going, but apparently the site had failed in that time so I'm sure many more signed up.

Now we know why they limited the schedule of special events this year.

The hamsters powering their servers need long breaks from their wheels.

Could be on a different server. Last night was US primetime so it's possible they were using the US server. Now it's European Primetime. Maybe they're using the servers in the Netherlands. And it's possible that they can't handle as much traffic.

Nope it is US servers, all the practice sessions were and all the special events are.

So how often is everyone hitting F5? I'm limiting myself to refreshing once every 5 minutes. Not that it really matters anyways, race isn't gonna be there when we rejoin. I'm debating going back to sleep.

I need to find a good endurance league in iRacing now that we can have 4 cars in hosted.

Anyway, anybody get interlagos yet? How is it?

Yes I got it. It's awesome! I only did a couple laps before the 2.4 last night so don't have much time up there, but it was fun. I guess they changed the F1 some with the update because I tried my suzuka setup there just to do a couple laps and it was spinning out every time I would even get close to full throttle. I don't know what was going on, but something has changed. Ready to try it out in my HPD.

Wow! Listening to Glacier TV Radio that really sucks guys! At least you're not loosing iRating due to the malfunction!

Quote from Glacier TV : "Thanks for staying with us on Glacier TV, or maybe we should call it Glacier Radio...."

Glacier sounds way too optimistic. "Oh they have gone from acknowledging that there is a problem to resolving the problem so it should be back in just a minute."

Or their server just caught fire.

It does say on the maintenance site "We are currently working on restoring the service" now though.

I think that's the usual generic message. I know they're working on it, but I don't expect them to flip a switch and be ready to go.

Interlagos is quite a different track than anything we have in iRacing. I can't really find a current track we have to compare it to. I really like it, but it's definitely different.

I wonder how hot my oil and water temperature is getting sitting in the pits for this long.

From Facebook:
iRacing
We will start the Daytona 2.4 one hour late - 3pm EST (20:00 GMT). Everyone is working hard to get everything back up. Thanks for your patience.

How long does it take to fix the servers:grumpy:
I want some compensation now after this, who's with me?:dopey:

 @ Glacier. Wil just started yelling and screaming and commentating on a pretend start of the race with lots of chaos and the number 69 car being involved and blah blah blah

Anyone else watching the real race? Not started yet, but the stream I'm watching has all the pre-race stuff going on, looks awesome. Makes me think, iRacing better have the option to put the RUF on slicks and limit the power. Without a Porsche, these races don't feel the same.
