Yeah, there are plenty, but none of them are particularly good. You're better off trying to work on your own setup.

Indeed you are, then you are able to set it to your own driving style.

----------------------------------------------

I ran a open setup practice session yesterday in the Prototype and GT Challenge. It was fun, I had some little battles with Nick Thissen, Tim Claessens, Paul Ilbrink and some others. Seemed to be the fastest practice session yet with the top 3 drivers all in the 22's in the HPD. Paul Ilbrink ended up getting the fastest lap in practice with a 1:22.085. I hooked up my best lap a 23.2 which ranks me 8th in the world in practice lap times.

Hopefully I'll hit the high 22's today but I can't see myself getting anywhere near the low 22's, or even the high 1:21 laps that have been posted in qualifying.

This is frustrating. I've been a member for the past few years and it seems that the site keeps getting less and less stable, more so recently.

I agree.

I know a game if there servers are down. they add the lost time to your membership. Iracing should do this too.

And they never seem to post much about the issue either on their forum or Facebook.
I'm just lucky I was able to get an official Radical race in before the site went down. I then shut my system down to change pedal spacing, come back to a non functioning site 👎

I have been trying to fix the lag issues by using the 2013 installer and I can't download the installer. It gets to 156mb download and then I start to lose download speed. It seems as if something is blocking it but I don't have an antivirus installed on my computer.

EDIT: After 15+ tries I finally downloaded the 2013 installer. Hopefully the crazy amounts of lag I have experienced goes away.

down again... maybe my ~20 incidents in ~6 laps at interlagos will get 'lost'...
on the bright side I used my diablo3 box, 2 eleastics, and some popsicle sticks as a mount for a Lenovo 7in tablet to run ispeed.. in the hopes that I never downshift to neutral ever again in my c6r...

I don't know why it's down but maybe this is a hint?

Of course it's down... I just purchased the Formula Mazda, Zolder and Interlagos.
Download completed and installed, then the site went down immediately :(

... Last night I finally have some time to race this week and it goes down. Again, I have some time this morning so I practice and qualify and right before the race it goes down.

This is getting quite tiresome.

[Edit]
And it's back! iRacing is the greatest thing in the world! I never doubted them for a minute.

lol Nastradamus ;)

I just finished a quali' session for the SRF when it went down again, so I'm hoping my lap will still be in the system as it was a PB :)

Nige.

I've been a member since 2011 and I can't ever remember it having this many problems. I think until a month or so ago I had only seen it down maybe 2 or 3 times. Now it's almost daily. They're gonna have to figure out their problem pretty soon, because it's getting old pretty fast for a paid service.

Down again. I have not seen the site go down this many times since the Daytona 500 race last year. I think it went down two or three times in the same day.

EDIT: It's back but I would not do any races as a precaution in case it goes down again. Give it a few hours if possible.

Just hit a PB in the Riley at Silverstone, a 1:43.4xx, still a slow lap but improvement is always good!

It's up but no clue on consisency, best way to know would be to do bit of practice and check back in a hour.

Yesterday was just on and off John, but no idea what today will bring :(

I was hoping to try and score some reasonable points in the Skippy and SRF today, but it's tough to find a high'ish SOF race with the service like it is.

If its stable tonight I'll join you in the Skip. Saw you had a super quick qualifying time. I can only get on after 8:00, so I hope it's stable the rest of the day.

Anyone have any ideas what the deal is? It's crazy, it's like the iRacing staff isn't even acknowledging that the service has been spotty. Not the best feedback from their customer service reps.

I'd say it's in some way due to the growing number of people. And them just not accommodating them with more servers if you get what I mean.

It's been quite a while since I posted here, so here I go again.

Yesterday, I had the craziest finish I had ever been involved in. After 65 minutes of racing at Interlagos with the HPD, I battled for the last 3-4 laps with the guy in front of me... only to finish 0.002 seconds behind him! After the race I almost caught crashed because I was too amazed at what the F2 button was telling me! :scared: I had a lot of fun starting from the back and working my way up, after hoping in the race without qualifying. Definitely something to try again! I'll post a video of it soon, plus all my qualifying laps that I have saved on my computer, but I would need a version of FRAPS that allows me to record more than 30 seconds at a time. Anyone has that here?

Also, today I saw a guy who now likes the constant failures of the servers I think:

The servers are currently under maintenance? Oh yeah!!:dopey:

After the Daytona 2.4 fiasco, I contacted support to complain about the loss of iRating and the failure of communication during the event to let people know what was going on. All I got was a copy pasted response that wasn't entirely relevant about how they couldn't change irating and they completely ignored the rest of my complaint.

The only communication that we got from this event was that they thought it was a DOS attack. They haven't said anything since. The continued instability in the service suggests to me that it wasn't an external DOS attack and was a failure on their part. Everyone has network problems at some point. What really disappoints me is that they fail to acknowledge their problems and communicate what they are doing to fix it.

Havent had any tracks to run the past two weeks so im getting the jump on next week's GT Challenge @ Watkins. After a lot of careful reading and some note taking i think im really starting to understand how to set the car up. So far ive got my times for the vette into the 42's for the Boot configuration. I hope its competitive enough when practice sessions open. Only a few more weeks left of school and i can start to concentrate on this game more often!

Sadly I won't be able to get on tonight as we're out at friends for dinner, then I have a Hockey game after that. I'll have to run a couple of Skippy races tomorrow as it's a holiday here, to get 'some' points, but the service is still intermittent it seems (just gone down again I believe :() The 2 SRF races I've done today have had reasonable attendance, but SOF only just above 2100.

It was my PB in qualifying John, however, it seemed easier to hit that time in quali' than official practice for some reason as I also hit a 1'47.2xx and a number of low 47's. Maybe I just got lucky ;) My Optimal is a 46.7 I think, but we all know how difficult it is reach that goal :D

I was about to join the Open Proto/GT race, so glad I decided to do some pratice before... Giving away my iR is no fun at all!!
