Wooow, one little comment I say you backing him up because you have no life either buying 2,000+ dollars of game equipment while you can just buy a real car. (which you probably don't and spend it on useless junk) Yeah you cool dude taking a racing game into a real life thing. Pathetic!
And who gives a crap about grammar on a gaming forum?

Didn't you say in your other post that you have a wheel? So you bought a pretend steering wheel to play video games in front of the tv with? Furthermore, you signed up to an Internet forum to talk about said game some more? You have no life by the sounds of it

Yeah, but I don't use my wheel anymore. And I signed up on the forum for the gt5 drag forums and I only looked at iracing to see if there's a drag community then I saw a load of racing equipment. I only brought the g27 to feel the difference with a controller. Then, got bored of it after 2 months.

Then you better stay out of the sim racing hardware fourm.

Okay, let me get this straight. No, there is no drag community on iRacing. Then when you see that someone has spent some money on a gaming rig for their personal enjoyment you say they have no life. So let me say this, if you said you weren't trolling you were just giving your opinion, then have you ever thought that Erik, and indeed others that have spent some money on their rig don't give a 🤬 about your opinion, and in their opinion it was a good way to spend their money that they earned?

And if they don't have a life, that would mean they don't have a job, so answer me this, where do you think he got the money to buy all the components to make this rig from?

And before you fire away giving 'your opinion' aka trolling by saying we have no life, then I guess making a thread about what cars sound the best at drag racing on Gran Turismo 5 means you genuinely do have a life doesn't it?

JDmsz,
Now that you've stated your opinion I guess there isn't much left for you to post. I therefore strongly suggest you move on.

Thanks.

Easter holidays, It brings supreme happiness on the forum these days. :odd:

I want to spend some money on my "rig"(cough) I just don't know i go for a button box, tripple screen, a new modified desk or just content on iracing :dunce:

Any good series and track combo's this week? Haven't logged onto my computer yet to see what's in store.

Not sure if you're into Grand Touring Cup, but it's on Watkins Glen this week. Grand-Am is on Barber Motorsports Park as is Indy Car.

Nothing of interest out of that list lol. Maybe I'll just do hosted races this week then.

This just goes to show why I enjoy the iRacing community so much more than the GT5/Forza/NFS communities. It seems like the majority of iRacers are working professional adults who play as a hobby. But even the younger people we have on iRacing are mostly pretty respectful as well.

I still enjoy playing GT5 from time to time, but when I go online, the ridiculousness of the people I am playing with makes me log off every time.

Why you are you over reacting? You know it's just a forum right?

Let me guess your parents bought you GT5, PS3 and a car?! You fail to realize not everyone here even needs a car to get around either so $2000 for a car might not be much to you but them you got to maintain it, tags, insurance and all that jazz.

So I highly suggest you get off the your better than others chair and get a clue how life works in general.

Well I'm off to Limerock tomorrow morning for the 2 day Skip Barber driving school... :)

Lol!! Things like this make me so happy I don't have kids, hell it even scares me to think of having kids almost as if it was wrong to bring them into the world!!

"I got a g27, then got bored of it"

I got a g27 and have used it almost every day!!!

It is our job to ensure that our children are different. Raise him/her to have respect for people and be tolerant and understanding of the choices of others.

Being a parent is scary, but it's also absolutely amazing.

A It wasn't one little comment, it was an insult to a respected member in this sub-forum/thread.

B We don't know whether he has a real car or not and it's irrelevant. You can''t go racing on a road without serious consequences nor will he need to keep pumping thousands of dollars into his rig every year for racing licenses, racing insurance, fuel, tyres, modifications, entry to competitions, track days and general maintenance.

C iRacing isn't a game, nor does it claim to be. It is one of, if not, the best and most realistic simulators on the market.

D And finally you should give a crap about grammar on this site as when you registered here you agreed to the Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy which states many things including: Using proper grammar and to not insult other members.

TL;DR: Pretty much just a rage I needed to let out. Sorry to anyone bored of this already.

EDIT:

"I got a g27, then got bored of it"

I'm getting one at the end of the month, desperate to have a quieter higher quality wheel, clutch and H shifter. My DFGT has suffered enough

MX-5 or Skippy? Enjoy and have a great time!

Just the the Mazda driving school for now, the only real racing experience I have is a few karting sessions and a track session ride along at Watkins Glen.. I'll most likely do the full on 3 day racing school this summer..

I'm seriously jealous right now. All I've done is 15-20 minutes of karting and that was breath taking in it self. Good luck for when your there!

No life, all I need is a wheel and 1 tv, it's just a game. You taking it through a whole another level.

Thank you, but seriously.. My rig is totally home made and didn't cost much, the computer with triple screen setup wasn't cheap though. But taking it to a new level.. Not really, you should open up your eyes and you see this isn't the most expensive rig owned by a private person.

And to your no life comment. I have paid off my house, I have paid off my car and the loan on the households second car isn't that high. My wife and I have a dog, a cat and we do have a life. Not going into explaining myself to you though.

Damn. You are judgmental here, Why are you the one in the world knowing what a life is? Calling people pathetic is a smart way to explain you don't really know what you talking about.

I'm not trolling. I hate that term trolling. I'm just stating my opinion. It's nothing to get mad over. Everybody has a opinion.

We heard your opinion. But most of us didn't agree so they state their opinion as well.

Your clearly have a different view on car games/simulators than the rest of us. Or most of us anyway. And I respect your way of playing GT5, now either respect my way of having fun with iRacing or shut up please.

Smh, what's wrong with gt5 drag racing. It's pretty realistic with no mods/hacks and assistance.
Nothing wrong with it, but realistic.. not so much.

Why you are you over reacting? You know it's just a forum right?

Over reacting. You are obviously a kid thinking you know everything, and when you explain we spent our money on junk you call us no life and pathetic. So I don't see anyone over reacting. I see someone just trying to explain to you that you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Now leave us alone POS

Of course you're going to get bored with a G27 wheel. You have to turn left and right to get enjoyment out of it!💡

Drag racing in GT5? Really?

I would guess I have about $2100 wrapped up in my rig. This includes computer, 37" TV(going triples within next year or so), wheel/pedals, and custom made rig. Waste of money? I don't think so. Some of the best money I've ever spent. Iracing is not a game to me, its a hobby. So, thats my opinion for what its worth.

You guys are killing me! I need to start saving for new setup but keep bailing lol.

Same here! Really making me consider blowing my first pay check next month on a bigger power source, second graphics card and 2 TV's to add to my iRacing machine.
