@Jav It will be cool to see what the official races will be... Something tells me they'll pair the MacLaren and the Track version, and do a single class series for the C-Spec. The RWD won't be a part of any official series I think.

This is obviously speculation.
That's also my guess, they released the ccar a month before to get the proper data for the most accurate BoP. What I don't get is why they didn't model it to be a full blown GT3 race car like they did the physics...
I'm loving it so much I did this:
Hello...!

I assumed the C-Spec was similar to the GT3 Cup Car like what would run in IMSA GT3 Cup or Porsche Super Cup and the Track Spec was similar to a GT3 Cup car, but in Grand-Am GT/GT Daytona/World Challenge GT Spec. Nice paint Jav!

From what I understand

Track= 997 GT3 R
C-spec= 997 GT3 Cup

Awesome paint. Other than the first paint I ever did when I raced the MX-5, I've lost all motivation to make new ones. It's sad but they should make it so everyone can see your paints, not just whoever has TP. They either need to implement their own system or buy TP and merge it with iRacing's content delivery.

There are licensing issues with user made skins. Trading paints is their best option to avoid this and still have user made skins.

Guys, I know it has been covered before, but can someone post or point me in the right direction as to where to find how to adjust the seat/camera possition?

Those rolling rufs are hilarious!
And Monza!

is the old oval torn down out of monza and if it's not are they going to model it

Doubt it, considering they laser scan all their tracks and looking at the old Monza oval it has every weed known to man probably sprouting out of the old surface.

This has been a great week for iRacing, we now have all the Nascar tracks, 2 new European tracks were signed, and a COTF V8 is on it's way. (And the Ruf is finally here) Add to that COTA coming next spring, and the future looks bright.

I hesitated renewing my subscription last month, but now I'm glad I did!

I'm not at home right now to verify, but I believe it's in the app.ini file in your Documents\iRacing folder. The setting is called "Driver Height" or something similar.

Anyone else having severe lag issues? I keep seeing cars "twitch" all over my screen, keep getting ghost contacts and crashing unexpectedly..

Oh God that would mean I'd have to quit my job!!! Damn feeling the AC preasure much? Competition does do wonderful things to a brand!

I know! They have to pick up their game now... A team of ~10 guys created a competitor! I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing more than one car and track per build soon... At least I hope!

I'm happy for the announcements but it will take too long to get the content in the game without adding more people to the team. They have 10+ road tracks scanned and planned and they have around 4 oval tracks to finish. They are going to need another track modelling team to get that backlog done faster.

If only Gran Turismo would figure that out... Just had a fantastic race in the RUF on Spa, stupid wreck in t1 but after that a fantastic battle the entire race, I ended up 2nd after being taken out and dropping back to last place.

Just like Polar said, they need to step their game up in every aspect. AC's Online Multyplayer is going live real soon and they are putting out very very good quality products and variety. They serously need to put their game face on if they wan't to survive.

I entirely lost my faith on PD after the first 5hrs of GT6...

It's a dead horse discussion, but personally I'm enjoying GT6, physics are a huge improvement over GT5 and despite all it's downfalls, it's still a great "pick up and play" racer. As for the RUF on iRacing, I've proposed marriage but have yet to get a response out of it..

No doubt GT6 has the best physics of the series and pretty much any console race title, my main problem with PD is the sounds, lack of BoP for the car classes and just their plain randomness and fantastical approach to the whole design...

I know this isn't the place to discuss this, but I'd trust any of you fellas to answer these questions over anyone at the GT6 forum... are the physics from the final GT6 product really that much different from those on the GT6 demo (GT Academy)? I got a buddy (also an iRacer) that claims that the ABS lockup physics have been widely improved, and that the physics are very different from those of the demo, i.e. much better. I'm a little skeptical which is why I haven't gotten the game.
