Get 1 or 2 team GTP cars of 4 people each. Would be really cool if iRacing did an enduro series where you could pair up with someone for the season.

3 teams of 3?

Would be a really cool idea. I think something like 3 hours, where each driver does an hour or so is probably quite good. Then have one race that is 6 hours as the "24."

Hosting a fun Ruf RWD race @ VIR South. I know it's not terribly popular but i never get a chance to drive it sooo... Come out if you dare to test the beast known as the Ruf RWD :).

EDIT: Nevermind, i forgot to change the car like a nub so..... Its a Mx-5 Race LMFAO.

Well after my first Indycar race im not too sure if i want to continue with it for the whole season. It split 3 times and i just barely made split 2 and i shouldnt have even bothered qualifying because i was an amazing 4 seconds off pole. On the first lap there was a pileup down at the carousel which took out my front wing so i pitted and held on to 12th place. I had decent race pace but if it wasnt for the pileup i wouldve been clawing to get out of last.

Probably gonna focus on driving the good ol FGT again like i did in S1 because the new WSCS looks very promising except for the huge HPD fields ive seen sometimes.

Well that Indycar race had the highest Indycar SOF ever (including when it was the DWC car if the forums are a good source)

So the rest of the races during the week were pretty good to me at least.

Been messing around with the mustang at Charlotte in GTC and i just might run that instead its quite fun to drive actually, although to me it suffers from a linearity problem like the caddy although not as bad as the caddy. Like the first 10 degrees of steering input does nothing then the next 5 degrees puts way too much lock and it feels incredibly awkward to drive.

Hi gents I haven't been on here for ages but I've been racing iracing for 2 years now and loving it.
I'm trying to find a mature-ish team to put together for the 24 hours of Spa in November.
My thinking is we can have members from a few continents so we can make use of the time difference.

let me know what you think

thanks

So apparently it's my fault when someone runs into the back of me after I check up for the car ahead.

First road race in a while and probably my last. I'll stick to turning left since apparently I can't drive.

I have the worst luck lately. Got taken out twice in a nationwide race by the same guy. Got wrecked on lap 2 for another. Almost makes GT3 seem not so bad

Assuming iRacing sticks to getting swaps done for S4 i'd love to get a team or 2 together.

Yes I'm sure that driver swaps would be out for S4. This race won't happen unless it's released. A couple of GTPlanet liveried cars could be good

I hate it when that happens they need to change that rule it's cost me a few times while racing

I just did a GTC race with @Silver-Sylph. The #1 guy crashed me so I crashed him. I think Silver came in 2nd. Good job for him.
I saved that replay simply because the mustang group battle was amazing, one of the closest races ive had in awhile, 1st was in a league of his own and drove away from all of us but 2nd-6th we were all battling it out until we got caught up in that wreck, i just barely avoided hitting you i think lol. After that race though im so close to hitting my 3000 iRating goal, currently at 2992.

@Jav you might want to fix this on your skin lol

LMAO!!! I could have sworn it was the right way up!!! :o Lol!!

where can i find anything about iracing nascar etiquette. As a road guy its pretty easy to know whats legal on road but the nascar side seems pretty rough and tumble. lets say u 0x them in the butt. Should i care for them to not fly off the track or do i lift.

I really haven't figured it out yet either. Regardless of what happens, someone will be madd at you by the end of the race. There was a nationwide race with triple intentional retaliation and demo derby which I don't condone but was hilarious to watch and be in the race with

If I'm pushing someone and it appears they are getting loose as a result , then I will back off. As far as I'm concerned , when you team up with someone on a superspeedway , then it is exactly that , a team. I'm not going to wreck a team mate !

If the pushee cant hold a line or drive safely while I push , I will look for someone else to work with. That said , I'm Australian and I really have no idea what the etiquette is :D

Im not a nascar guy on Iracing but do watch better than half the races on TV. I think the confusion at the moment is that nascar is trying to stop bump drafting. So maybe in iracing some want to stick with official rules while others still want to bump draft.

Oval etiquette is hard because it is track dependent. On a small track with low speed corners bumpers "can" be used sparingly and you won't get called out. Now at a track like Charlotte all contact is bad. Still GT3 cars in iRacing mid-pack are much nuttier.

As far as getting a good setup, you can make one or never win a race. The setups you can find will at best be a top 10 setup, top 5 with a good driver. They don't like sharing winning setups ( think GT5 drag racing community  ). Oval racing is very setup dependent so I can sorta get why.

This is why I like fixed setups so much better.
The only issue with the fixed setups is that you get to a track like Iowa for the B this week where you can run anywhere. It becomes 3 wide all the way around and big wrecks. Fun to dodge though

I think the thing with the ovals is much of it is based on setup, the road side I think you can get away with having a less then stellar setup and depending on your own skills and those you're are racing finish relatively well, on an oval, a setup could put you in the top 3 or you could miss it completely and you finish top 20.. I think that's why it's less common to find people sharing setups on the oval side compared to the road.

If you keep in on track in road and dodge the idiots, you're almost guaranteed a top 10. It's easier to pick oval up where you don't wreck, so it takes a setup to be any good
