From what I've been told, the skippy's are a must have That'll be my next purchase. One thing to keep an eye on is that the tracks are more needed for those series so buying a bunch of cars at once may not be the best financial decision.

Ya, I was checking the different series that I'm eligible for right now so I buy something I can use right away and the tracks being used in that series. I'm just a bit bored with Legends and Mx-5. I can run the Solstice, but I don't own the track thats for this week. I think there is a Nascar and F1 if I buy them, but I'm wanting to work my way up in speed and not just jump right into those series.

Thanks for heads up though Stig. I have been looking at everything and its making my head hurt. So many cars, so many tracks, so many series, tough decision. I gotta get the Mustangs though, all time favorite car.

BTW the Spec ford's a blast to drive, I don't have silverstone either though :/ I've still only got the free stuff and trust me I've got that same headache I'll be getting the corvette instead of the mustang cuz gotta be honest, I'm not much of a mustang fan

I'm sure it does teach you loads, but I'm more of a GT/Touring car guy.

The skippy car is really nothing like a proper formula car. You have a slight slip angle in real life just like a sports car. A proper formula car does not have a slip angle. If a Formula Renault or GP3 or 2 car had a slip angle then the aerodynamics would be disturbed too much. Thus why you see very minimal sliding in a formula car.

Just did the NVIDIA CUP (short track), I started 6th and finished 4th being a lap down. There was a couple bumps here and there (some my fault, others both our faults).

Ok, the craziest thing to date happened to me last night on the Nvidia Cup, Started 4 and worked my way to 2nd, was having a great race for the lead with this guy, no contact no nothing, pure clean racing. I got him going into turn 1 as he got a bad last turn, next lap I got a slow last turn and he gets side by side so I conceed the lead with no fight, 3 laps later I miss my braking and tap him spining him arround. I feel auful, I don't move to let him stay in front. But no! The guy goes crazy!! He starts ramming my car! I mean ramming reversing and hitting me! Crashing me into the wall! I feel bad and don't know what to do. Finally he gets going again so I go on, but he wasn't over, now he's stepping in the brakes every time I come near, trying to hit me, running me off. This goes on for a lap till I finally pit and get out. I didn't know what to do, I appologized to the guy but he was ranting like crazy. So I say sorry one last time and left, should've saved the replay but I didn't.
This Psycho costed me .34SR from his crazy psychotic behavior.
Thing is I've raced with the guy many times before and never had a single incident up to now.
Should I try to get the replay and repot him?

Good to know. Thats why I'm asking around first. I don't want spend hard earned money on cars/tracks thats nobody uses.

It's basically the only series that suits my schedule... Is the GTC any good? How's the field turnout? Will I find a decent size field in this class?

The Carburetor cup is hardly a packed house either, its mostly the practice sessions that have people in them there.

Gave the Solstice a crack today after 38 nvidia cup races, 2nd in class, 11th overall with 16 starters, 4 of which were Solstices. Good fun, love the Silverstone south circuit, got some great chicanes.

I quite often do races as well, mainly at Okayama. I quite enjoy the series but as Rudi said you have to be in the top split or it's useless.

There was 9 cars wow what a race! Had a blast coming back from the back of the pack to take fourth! Got my Safety Rating +0.62 sitting at 4.47!!!

EDIT: about to do my first corvette race wish me luck (was live stream link) Only four car grid lame thought I saw 7 sign up oh well it was fun I had a spin on lap 2 but was able to come back awhile later and hold the lead till the end!

It was barely official! We got exactly 9 cars, MTB made it into B license and I'm back up to C 3.58 if it wouldn't be for that psycho last night I'd be at B right now! Ohh well, leason learned...

It depends on the series, the NVIDIA cup only needs 6 racers to become official.

Most series are 8 but yeah there are exceptions such as Nvidia Cup and Grand-Am. However Grand-Am is definitely 10.
